Boss Huo is a profit-driven man, and the more profit-driven he is, the more accurate his judgment of people becomes.
During the meal just now, Fan Juan only brought one person with her. The person looked ordinary, but their temperament was completely different from ordinary people. Throughout the meal, they didn't say a word, eating and drinking with composure and dignity. To travel so far with only one person for protection, they must be a formidable character.
Fan Juan led her people upstairs. Boss Huo had made good arrangements; the two adjacent rooms were where they could detect any movement immediately.
"What a pity, the food on the table was such a waste."
Old Wu, who came with Fan Juan, couldn't help but sigh.
"It is indeed a bit of a pity. Next time, if we can't finish it, should we ask someone to pack it up?"
Fan Juan replied with a smile.
"Wouldn't that make you lose face, factory manager?"
Old Wu said with a smile.
"What's shameful about cherishing food? We're not paying for this ourselves, it's not right to eat and take it all."
Fan Juan opened the door.
"Are you full?"
Fan Juan turned to look at Lao Wu and asked seriously.
"I'm full, I'm full. Although the portions of the dishes weren't large, there were a lot of them."
Old Wu nodded quickly.
"Then let's rest first, and get up early tomorrow morning to take a walk around the area."
Old Wu opened his eyes in the middle of the night, reached out and touched his stomach. He had eaten quite a bit that night, so why was he suddenly hungry?
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
Old Wu got up quickly.
"Old Wu, are you hungry?"
"Director Fan, are you hungry? It's so late, there probably aren't any food vendors outside, right?"
Old Wu saw that Fan Juan was already dressed and ready to go out.
"I just asked around, and there's a street not far away. It's bustling at this hour. Since we're here to investigate, why don't we go take a look? And grab a bite to eat while we're at it."
Old Wu immediately nodded, closed the door, and followed Fan Juan downstairs.
As instructed by the lobby staff, Fan Juan and Lao Wu didn't have to search for long. The bustling noise of the crowd served as the best guide, and the aroma of food helped them quickly and accurately find the place.
"Wow, this is so lively! Bright lights and lots of music. Don't they sleep at night? With so many people here?"
Old Wu was shocked.
"With so many people gathered here, isn't the person in charge of security in this area worried about something happening?"
Fan Juan couldn't help but blurt out that if this were in Beijing, it would be completely silent by now.
Most of the people gathered here were young men and women, dressed in bright and daring clothes. They mostly spoke the local dialect, but Fan Juan and Lao Wu could understand some of their Mandarin mixed with accents, though they had to guess and make things up.
"This place is almost like a market, with so many stalls selling everything from food to clothing and toys."
Old Wu protected Fan Juan as they walked inside. Someone whistled at Fan Juan, and she immediately quieted down after meeting Old Wu's gaze.
Fan Juan didn't go far. She saw a place selling wonton noodles, pointed there, and gestured for Lao Wu to come with her and have something to eat first.
