Chapter 224 Blockhead (2/2)

"Thank you, Grandma Guixiang."

Li Wu hugged the bowl and smiled happily. Sure enough, whenever he came home, he was the most pampered child.

Li Wu happily finished eating the noodles and vegetables, went home, put his things down, and was then taken by Professor Wen to find Li Wen.

Yang Yufen rode her tricycle to the orchard.

"Old Liu, get me six chickens and a basket of eggs."

"Alright, we have guests?"

"The kids are back, they've all lost weight. They've had a two-week break, so I'll cook them lots of good food."

Yang Yufen said happily, already holding a vegetable basket in her hand, ready to see what vegetables to pick.

"Child, is this Liwu? You should give him some good nourishment. Are six chickens enough? The ducks are fat too. After you catch the chickens, I'll go catch two more ducks for you."

"That's enough, that's enough."

"Old Zhou has taken to fishing lately. If he catches a big fish, have Xiao Zhang bring it to you. It's rare for the kids to come home, so you should spend some quality time with them."

Yang Yufen arrived in a flurry, then returned home in the same flurry, carrying a full load of things. She added water to the pot and lit the fire, and Aunt Wang also came over.

“I picked the grapes in the yard, and the kids will come home tonight and we’ll eat them together. I haven’t seen Liwu in a long time. Without him at home, our compound doesn’t feel as lively.”

Aunt Wang smiled and put down the grapes, picked one and fed it to Yang Yufen, then reached out to help catch the chicken.

"The grapes are growing really well this year, they're a deep, almost blackish purple."

"The grapes around our orchard should bear fruit in the next year or the year after."

Li Wu sat on the stool, enjoying the game, but the calculation process was painful.

"Can't you play some games that don't require much brainpower?"

Li Wu looked at his younger brother.

"Your brain will rust if you don't use it. Do you want to be a blockhead?"

Li Wen spoke irritably. He had noticed this person as soon as he arrived that he was so much taller than him. The advantage he had finally gained in his studies suddenly seemed to have vanished.

Especially after this guy came in, he even gestured to show me his height.

"Little brother, did you not eat properly? Are you missing me? The food doesn't taste good without me around."

The moment those smug words came out, it was still that familiar older brother. Looks like we haven't been giving enough practice questions.

Li Wen silently made a note of it.

"It's getting late. Your grandma is sure to be making a lot of delicious food today. Go home early, Wang Xing."

Professor Wen watched the two children talking and suppressed a laugh as he spoke.

Upon hearing this, Wang Xing quickly packed his things and came over.

"It's been so long since I've had Grandma Yang's cooking. I miss it so much. I wish Zhenghao were here."

"You guys have two days off tomorrow and the day after. Where do you want to go?"

Professor Wen left the laboratory with his three children.

"I want to go play in the orchard."

Li Wu spoke.

"I haven't visited Grandpa Yang and the others in a long time either."

Li Wen thought for a moment and then spoke up. He actually wanted to go to the library more, but there were many opportunities to go to the library, so he decided to let Li Wu have his way first.

"We haven't visited Grandpa Yang since he was injured, so this is a good opportunity to go see him."

Wang Xing thought this was a good idea.
