As soon as Yang Yufen spoke, Zhao Lian, who happened to be walking by, stopped in his tracks.
"Sister Yang is right. Everyone should be more vigilant. There might be bad elements lurking around us. If you find any, don't act rashly. Report it immediately."
Zhao Lian took the opportunity to speak up and give a warning. It just so happened that the task assigned to him by his superiors was also this. He took the opportunity to explain in detail what bad elements and enemy agents might do, so as to raise everyone's vigilance.
"By the way, I have some good news to share. The viewing spots for the families of our research institute members to watch the military parade have been marked out. However, the space is only so big, so it's impossible for everyone to go. We'll send a representative, and each family can try their best to get a spot."
Zhao Lian left lightly, and the discussion then turned to watching the military parade.
"There will definitely be a holiday then. I'm worried about my two kids. Even if we can't go, we can still watch TV. I'll bring the TV out, and if you don't mind, you can bring your chairs over to watch together."
Yang Yufen took the initiative to speak, and everyone happily agreed.
It wasn't just one family in the residential compound that bought a TV; those who actually went to see it were people they had a good relationship with.
The two, who had finally arrived in the capital, were taken to a small courtyard.
"You must be careful in your actions. The checks are very strict everywhere now. Since you are new faces, you will probably be more noticed. You should pretend to be a couple who have finally gotten pregnant and go to the hospital to make yourselves known."
"Let's lie low for now; there are still more than two months until October."
August 10th
The orphanage started classes early, mainly to accommodate children aged one year and four months to five years old.
Because it is a shared residential compound for faculty and staff of the research institute and the agricultural science institute, it was originally planned to recruit only two teachers, but because so many children applied, four were recruited and three classes were opened.
"Grandma, let's go play!"
Da Bao happily slung his little crossbody bag over his shoulder and waved to Yang Yufen.
He had been staring at the toys in the orphanage for a long time, and finally he was allowed to go in and play.
A group of familiar children, like stray puppies, happily entered the orphanage.
The children also ate lunch at the orphanage. Yang Yufen watched the children go in, and felt a sense of emptiness in her heart.
When I got home, I tidied up inside and out. But I usually tidy up, so my house isn't messy. Plus, I have a washing machine, which makes it easier to wash larger items.
It wasn't even noon yet when Yang Yufen finished cleaning up and started cooking before she remembered that her child wasn't home.
She cooked a simple meal and ate a couple of bites. With nothing else to do, and no more bamboo in the house, and having already finished buying the furniture she needed, Yang Yufen couldn't help but want to go to the hospital for a checkup.
Standing at the entrance of the Third People's Hospital, Yang Yufen stared at the people coming and going in front of the hospital gate.
"Auntie, what brings you here? Are you feeling unwell?"
Zhou Ang's voice rang out. She had come to a meeting today and unexpectedly saw Yang Yufen, so she naturally came forward to say hello.
"Xiao Zhou, no, it's just that Da Bao and Er Bao are both in school now, and I'm home alone with nothing to do, so I thought I'd come out to buy some things, but I couldn't think of anything I wanted to buy, so I just stopped here."
Yang Yufen snapped out of her daze and exchanged a few words with Zhou Ang, unaware that a couple was leaving the hospital and heading in the direction behind her.
Not seeing anyone, and knowing that her child would be out of school soon, Yang Yufen went home with Zhou Ang.
