"Once the government-sponsored study abroad quota is allocated, we'll have about a month to depart."
Qin Nian couldn't help but feel a lump in her throat.
“A month? That’s plenty of time to prepare. Can we still live in this yard? The orphanage is quite nice.”
"Yes, all my benefits will be retained. It's just that I'll be gone for two years, while Xianjun will only be studying at the Party School for six months. Won't Mom move in with Xianjun?"

"Mom, I'm sorry to trouble you."
Qin Nian felt very guilty.
"You're not doing this for yourself, so get some rest."
Yang Yufen went back to her room, and Shen Xianjun then sneaked back to his room.
"Mom is really biased."

Qin Nian glanced at the numbers on the passbook and closed it when Shen Xianjun leaned over.

Shen Xianjun had no objection to this.
“You must ensure that your mother and child have enough to live on every month. If you are going to lend money to your comrade, I hope you will consider your family first.”
Qin Nian thought for a moment and then spoke, but she didn't tell Shen Xianjun about the income from rent.
"No problem, I'm a parent now too, I know what I'm doing."
Shen Xianjun made a promise.
Qin Nian took a day off, and the whole family of five went to the photo studio together.
"Why would someone buy a new outfit just for a photoshoot?"
Yang Yufen tugged at her new clothes.
"I won't have time to go shopping with you later, this outfit suits you better."
Without saying much, Qin Nian pulled Yang Yufen along to take photos.
The photos included pictures of the two children, a family portrait of the five of them, and only one individual photo of the couple. Qin Nian, however, asked the photographer to take two more individual photos of Yang Yufen, and also took one of herself and her mother-in-law.
In the evening, the two families ate together.
Shen Xianjun was pulled away by Hu Jun, and Yang Yufen was also pulled aside by Professor Wen to drink tea.
