Chapter 96 Shuttlecock (1/2)

"I clearly remember there being some left, how come it's gone?"

Shen Xianjun rummaged through Hu Jun's cupboard. So he can finally handle spicy food! He'd been eyeing his brother-in-law's chili sauce for ages, and he'd finally found the chance.

"You little brat, you've been rummaging through my closet again!"

Hu Jun came back and caught them in the act.

"You even coordinated my clothes!"

Shen Xianjun pointed to the clothes on Hu Jun's body, and Hu Jun looked uncomfortable for a moment.

"I was on my way to a meeting, and you took advantage of the meeting to rummage through my closet. I haven't even told you about that yet."

"What did you say? That my mother is biased? Brother-in-law, where's the chili sauce?"

Shen Xianjun stopped turning over.

"That's all. There was only one can. You can see how much they can eat."

Hu Jun closed the cabinet.

"What about the jar? I can scrape it open."

"Liao Yuanjie thinks the same way. It's all cleaned up, and the jar should be dry by now."

"Ah! That kid definitely did it on purpose!"

Shen Xianjun has decided to challenge Liao Yuanjie to a duel tonight!

"You should think about tomorrow's assessment first."

Hu Jun uttered a single sentence, and Shen Xianjun immediately became obedient.

The three-month intensive training was so demanding that almost every minute and second was squeezed out. Apart from food, everyone was busy studying, and Shen Xianjun had long since resumed physical training.

Yang Yufen held a feather duster and looked at the children kneeling in front of her.

"Grandma Yang, it was my fault. I was the one who led my brothers to catch chickens."

Hu Zhenghao knelt at the front, protecting his three younger brothers behind him.

"Grandma Yang, I was also at fault. I didn't protect Erbao well, and he got pecked by the chickens."

Da Bao was holding a hen with its neck broken, while Er Bao was crying, his eyes brimming with tears.

It was the weekend, and none of the children were in school. Yang Yufen thought the children would be safe in the family compound, so she didn't think much of it.

After finishing up at the noodle shop, I came back and heard chickens crowing in the backyard. I thought a weasel had gotten in, so I grabbed a feather duster and went to the backyard. But as soon as I walked in, I heard my child crying.

When the children saw Yang Yufen carrying a feather duster, they instinctively knelt down.

Yang Yufen felt her heart pounding. She put the feather duster on her hip and first pulled Erbao over to look at the injury on his hand.

It's quite serious. Although there was no bleeding, it turned purple. No wonder it cried so bitterly. Luckily, it wasn't a goose.

"If you catch this hen, won't it peck people? Can't you wait for Grandma to come back if you want to see the chicks?"

Yang Yufen thought the child wanted to see the chicks.

"No, Grandma Yang, we wanted to make shuttlecocks. We're sorry, Grandma Yang, we accidentally killed the chicken."

Hu Zhenghao felt very guilty and began to explain.

"Making shuttlecocks?"

Yang Yufen was puzzled.

"It's Yao Yao's birthday."

Da Bao spoke.

"These hen's feathers aren't very pretty either. Are you trying to make a shuttlecock for your sister Yao Yao as a birthday present?"

Yang Yufen couldn't help but laugh.

Erbao nodded and stopped crying.

“There are chicken feathers at home, some that Grandma kept. I’ll pick out some suitable ones for you later. Next time, you can’t catch chickens in the coop again. If you have something to do, tell an adult first. Since you all know you were wrong, do you accept Grandma Yang’s punishment?”

Yang Yufen took the chicken from Da Bao's hand.

"Grandma Yang, please punish us!"
