Chapter 17017

Jing Ling quickly took a few more mouthfuls of rice, swallowed and nodded, "You are right to understand it this way. Of course, I am just making a suggestion. It is up to you whether to accept it or not. If you think it is not okay and want to continue to stare at me and find fault, then it is your freedom."

Some people are just so gifted that they can make others so angry with just a few casual words.

After the spoon, the plate next to Jiang Siyang was also affected, with a noticeable dent in one corner.

He laughed in anger, "You said it yourself. I'll wait for you in the woods east of the training ground at 9 o'clock this evening." MD had disliked this guy since the beginning. If he hadn't been concerned about the bad influence and didn't dare to do it too obviously, he would have beaten him up directly instead of being so fussy and finding fault.

Just wait, if he doesn’t beat this little bastard until he cries for his parents and makes his face look like a pig, he will write his name upside down!

Jing Ling drew a map in his mind after hearing this. Since the troops are stationed in the suburbs, behind them is the Changchuling Mountains that divide the central and southern administrative regions of the Republic. The entire training ground is surrounded by mountains on three sides with tall and lush trees. However, due to the terrain, there is an area on the east side that seems to be isolated and really looks like a small forest.

He only thought for a moment, and Jiang Siyang on the opposite side snorted disdainfully, "What, are you scared?"

Jing Ling said in a light tone, "Okay." After that, he concentrated on eating without paying attention to Jiang Siyang who was sitting opposite him and looking at him with a malicious expression. Soon the plate was empty. After finishing the last piece of braised pork, he cleaned up the tableware and left. When he passed Jiang Siyang, he asked casually, "I wonder if you need to pay compensation for damaging public property in order to vent your personal emotions, instructor?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Siyang couldn't help but break the other corner of the plate.

It was already past 6:30 when we finished eating, and there were less than two and a half hours left until the agreed time of 9pm. But Jing Ling was not in a hurry at all. He walked back to the dormitory slowly, took a cold shower, changed his clothes and threw them into the basin. He poured detergent on them and rubbed them twice. After washing them clean, he hung them directly on the balcony.

The dormitory faces the sun, and the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the balcony. The air is no longer as hot as it was at noon, and the wind blowing in the face brings a hint of coolness.

My roommates came back one after another. They were like eggplants hit by frost. They just lay down on their beds, groaning and moaning, and started talking to each other. As they were talking, they mentioned what happened in the afternoon. Jing Ling, one of the parties involved, happened to be there, so he asked curiously.

"Jing Ling, what did the instructor say when he called you over? Why did he look like he wanted to eat me?"

"Have you offended the instructor before? He punished you to run laps without you doing anything wrong. I counted 20 laps. Isn't that too harsh?! You can run all of them. If I could run even one-tenth of them, I would die!"

"Hehe, I originally thought that someone as white and skinny as you must be a bookworm who only knows how to study. I didn't expect you to run 8 kilometers in one breath. You are such a man, no explanation needed!"

Jing Ling smiled when he heard this, "Nothing, just a little misunderstanding."

Several roommates were not very curious, so after hearing what he said, they didn't dwell on it any further and started talking about other topics.

Jing Ling just listened to them quietly and occasionally joined in the discussion. Two hours passed quickly. During this time, the sun set, the night enveloped the entire earth, and the lights in the dormitory building lit up.

"You guys chat, I'm going to go out for a while." The roommates were chatting happily, Jing Ling said hello and went out. When I closed the door, my roommate who was sleeping next to the door reminded me to "come back early". He nodded, closed the door and left.

There is some distance from the dormitory to the training ground, and one has to pass by several buildings on the way. None of them have lights on and it is pitch black, like a giant beast lurking in the night.

Jing Ling walked calmly all the way to the training ground, and hardly met anyone during the journey. The lights were on at the edge of the training ground, but they could only illuminate an area around it. The mountains and trees farther away were shrouded in darkness and shadows.

We walked through the training ground and entered the small woods on the east side. The street lights could still be seen at the edge, but it was completely dark a little further in. However, the darkness did not affect his vision. This body perfectly integrated the skills he had exchanged from the system before, and night vision was one of them.

Accurately stepping over the exposed roots of the big trees, stepping over the thorny vines that cling to the shrubs, and stepping on the piled up dead leaves making a crunching sound, the jungle at night is still as calm as walking on flat ground.

After Jing Ling walked for a while, he heard another sound of footsteps coming from deeper inside, approaching his direction. As he walked, he cursed, "Why hasn't the little bastard come yet? Are you standing me up?!"

Along with the sound, a beam of light appeared in sight, passing through bushes that were almost as tall as a person and dispersing into fine rays of light. Then a tall and strong figure appeared, it was Jiang Siyang.

Jing Ling stood in place, the flashlight swept over him, "Fuck, who's there?!" Jiang Siyang's voice rang out, and the flashlight was shone back again.

"Who are you trying to scare by standing there quietly?!" Jiang Siyang yelled.

Jing Ling narrowed his eyes slightly, "What, did you scare the instructor? I thought you were very brave."

It was late at night and they were in the woods. Suddenly, they saw a figure standing next to the bushes. Jiang Siyang was really scared. But he would never admit such a thing, and snorted coldly with a look of disapproval, "What are you talking about? You're dithering like a turtle. Hurry up!"

After Jiang Siyang finished speaking, he turned around and went back. Jing Ling followed him slowly, walking deeper into the forest. After going deeper, an open area appeared in sight, and it seemed that we had reached our destination.

"After we get out of here tonight, all our grievances will be written off. I won't bully you. I will only use my hands and not my legs. You can do whatever you want, even if you pick up a stick from the ground as a weapon." As Jiang Siyang spoke, he placed the flashlight in his hand on the branch next to him. The beam of light pierced the night like a sharp sword and finally disappeared into the depths of the dense forest. There was only a little residual light left, making everything around it hazy.

He unbuttoned his camouflage uniform, unzipped it, and then took off his entire coat, throwing it to the ground.

"Boy, let you make the first move!"

Jing Ling also took off his camouflage jacket, but his movements were not as rough as Jiang Siyang's. He took his time and was so elegant that it was hard to tell that he was preparing to fight someone.

"Thank you for your humility, instructor. However, there is one thing I need to emphasize. You are the one who has a grudge against me. I just don't want to waste my time on such meaningless things, so I proposed this solution."

Having said this, it is equivalent to saying openly "You are the one who is picking on me unilaterally." However, Jiang Siyang didn't think he had done anything wrong. He disliked Jing Ling's slowness and urged him impatiently, "Stop talking so much. Hurry up!"

"Then please give me more guidance, instructor." Jing Ling said. When he was talking, there was still a distance of several meters between the two of them, but when the words fell, he had already come in front of Jiang Siyang, squatted down and swept his leg to attack the opponent's calf.

Jing Ling's speed was astonishingly fast, the whole process took less than two seconds. If it was a bright daytime, Jiang Siyang could probably still barely see the movements. However, it was nighttime now, and he was in a woods so dense that not even the moonlight could penetrate. He could only hear the crunching sound of his feet on dead leaves, and vaguely saw a dark shadow flash before his eyes. Then he felt a huge force attacking his calves, and his whole lower body became unstable and he fell backwards.

The moment his body touched the ground, Jiang Siyang knew that he had underestimated his enemy. He thought that the other party was just a student who had just entered university and could be easily defeated. He did not expect that he was a hidden master. He suffered such a great loss in just one encounter. He supported himself on the ground with his elbows, preparing to roll over and get up, but just as he turned over, a force pressed down on his shoulders, forcing him to lie back on the ground.

"You lose." The boy's usual nonchalant voice gave people a cold feeling at this moment.

The competition ended so quickly that Jiang Siyang was completely unable to react. The only thought in his mind was that it was just a mere encounter. Not only did he not engage in physical combat with his opponent, he couldn't even see his opponent's movements clearly. And yet he was stepped on the ground and declared the loser? ? ?

"Instructor, don't forget what you said just now. After we leave here tonight, don't bother me again. I don't know if anyone has ever told you before that your behavior of picking on others for no reason is annoying? If not..."

The boy stopped talking midway, and the force on his shoulder was removed in an instant. It took Jiang Siyang several seconds to react. There was no one around him. He could only judge from the shaking branches somewhere in front that someone had just gone there.

"You little bastard! I was careless just now and that's why you took advantage of me. If you have the guts, don't..." He stopped talking for a moment, because the direction Jing Ling was walking was not the direction back to the army, but the direction leading deep into the forest.

The Changchuling Mountains, as a geographical landmark dividing the two administrative regions, stretches for more than 2,000 kilometers from east to west and is 200-300 kilometers wide from north to south. The mountain range is divided into three major sections, and the mountains gradually become lower and lower from west to east. The average altitude of these continuous peaks is above 1,000 meters.

Although the troops were stationed here, they only cleared out a small area. Beyond this area was the real primitive forest, where ferocious beasts such as wolves and tigers roamed.

"You little bastard, why are you acting crazy so late at night!" Jiang Siyang didn't care about anything else. He quickly turned over and got up from the ground, picked up his clothes and put them on casually, took the flashlight from the tree and chased in the direction Jing Ling left.
