Chapter 116 Pearl Oyster
Three adults and one child paddled kayaks towards the reef area.
Hua Yang gave each person a small bucket, then left the kayak first and walked into the reef area.
This reef has different colors, and is composed of gray-black reefs and some huge coral reefs. The surface of the reef is rough, and some places are very sharp. Hua Yang wanted to put on anti-scratch gloves for several people, but found that He Xiaojun, Gu Xiaoyue and Xiaoming had separated to look for some dark holes under the reef. Xiaoming followed Gu Xiaoyue, pointed to some small holes with potholes and asked Gu Xiaoyue to reach in, and then he actually took out a swimming crab.
However, the crab came out with Gu Xiaoyue's finger pinched, causing her to scream in pain. Xiao Ming and He Xiaojun, who were not far away, laughed so hard that they fell backwards.
"Yangyang, Shui, I'm hurt." Gu Xiaoyue shouted at Hua Yang and gestured with her hand.
Hua Yang had no choice but to throw a bottle of spiritual water over. So her life-saving spiritual water was now being used for this purpose?
But she soon put all this behind her, for no other reason than that she saw a pair of golden shellfish curling up in the crevice of a large rock.
One of them had already retracted most of the way in and was now burrowing into the mud and sand below, while the other one was blocking the entrance of the gap, standing still.
Hua Yang went over with great interest and picked up the golden conch at the gap. She saw that the round golden shell had not only dark golden spots on it, but also protruding yellow stripes.
She held the shell up to the sunlight and saw that it was flashing with a faint light, which was very beautiful.
After she caught it, the brown creature inside the conch quickly retracted into the shell along with its tentacles, splashing water all over Hua Yang's face. Hua Yang wiped her face carelessly, and the conch in her hand disappeared. Then she dug out another conch from the gap.
Not only that, but underneath the body of the conch that was dug out, there was actually a string of golden eggs, which were tightly wrapped by its brown, fleshy body, so that it couldn't retract into the shell.
Hua Yang looked at the conch and said, "Don't be afraid. I won't eat you now. Just go and settle down in my space."
After collecting a pair of golden conches with cubs, Hua Yang looked around carefully again. There were many dark holes under the reefs. She bent down and looked carefully. In the middle of a coral reef, she found another nest of conches. However, this nest of conches was not as beautiful as the previous two golden and glowing ones. The five conches in this nest were dark brown, and there were some irregular black spots on the shells like those on a leopard.
Although they didn't look good, as long as they were edible, Hua Yang threw them all into the space without any disgust.
She groped her way in the opposite direction of Gu Xiaoyue and the others, and found a crab, a few small sea snails, and even a fish stranded on the edge of the coral reef. She thought it was dead, but when she picked it up, she found that its gills were still moving, but the movement was so small that it could not be seen without careful observation.
So she quickly threw it into the spiritual river in space, and a new species of fish appeared in her river.
Hua Yang found that the coral reefs closer to the sea were much richer than those in the middle. In a short while, she harvested some small starfish, some oysters, oysters tightly attached to the rocks, and a shellfish bigger than her palm.
She threw all her belongings into the Spirit River of Space, and using her unique control over space, she unexpectedly discovered that inside this shell that was larger than her palm, there was a pearl the size of a fingernail.
"Could this be a pearl oyster? A pearl oyster from the sea?"
This discovery made Hua Yang suddenly in a good mood, and she quickly checked around to see if there were any other such shells. However, after a round, she only found a sea spider and a pair of abalone, and no other such pearl oysters.
Women have no resistance to pearls or any beautiful jewelry. Hua Yang observed the location of the reef. The sea level was gradually rising. She walked towards He Xiaojun and his friends and checked their harvest. There were only some small crabs and shells in He Xiaojun's bucket. In addition to the crab that initially pinched her hand, Gu Xiaoyue's bucket also had a nest of oblong eggs and a long and wide kelp. According to Gu Xiaoyue, these were sea snake eggs. Sea snakes often lay their eggs in such reefs.
Finally, Hua Yang saw the same pearl shell in Xiao Ming's small plastic bucket. This discovery made her feel even more itchy.
"The sea level is rising now, and this reef area has almost been collected. You guys go back first."
Hearing Hua Yang's words, He Xiaojun and the others asked in confusion, "Ah? Shall we go back first? Leader, what about you? There is nothing left to pick up here."
Hua Yang looked at the three worried faces and curled her lips mysteriously, "Don't worry, I'll go underwater and take a look. I'll show you something good later."
Watching the three people paddling the kayak back to the boat, Hua Yang jumped into the sea.
The seawater in late autumn was already very cold, but because Hua Yang was a superpower, the water temperature was no different from warm water for her. In addition, she was a water superpower, so the feeling of being surrounded by water made her feel extremely comfortable and refreshed.
Her goal this time was to explore the bottom of the reef area. The reef area they had just searched was probably just one part of the entire reef area under the sea. It was just because of the low tide last night that the top area was exposed above the water.
Hua Yang dived into the deep sea and swam downwards.
The sea water after the apocalypse had become so clear that all she could see was blue waves. Many tiny marine creatures swam around her, not afraid of her approaching at all.
Her guess was correct. Not long after she swam downstream, she saw a large coral reef less than three or four meters below her. The size of the reef was astonishing.
Schools of fish of different species swam around the coral reefs, looking very happy. Hua Yang felt that the oxygen in her body was almost used up. With a thought, a huge deep blue bubble covered her. As long as the bubble did not break, she could breathe freely in the deep blue bubble. She drove the water behind her and quickly approached the coral reef area below.
She was like a tourist sightseeing in the sea, admiring the beautiful coral reef. In the coral reef, there were huge anemones with beautiful tentacles, attracting fish, shrimps and crabs around, and then dragging the nearby creatures into them for digestion.
Hua Yang was watching the anemone with great interest. She stretched out her hand from the water bubbles to touch it, but the anemone suddenly shrank back into the coral reef and could no longer be seen.
Her approach did not frighten the happily swimming fish. Instead, because of her water-based physique, the fish that had not yet been transformed by the virus were very close to her. They even used their mouths to curiously touch the blue bubble that protected her.
"There are so many fish! It would be great if I could store them all in this space!" She thought so and stretched out her hand to touch the school of fish. However, the school of fish avoided her touch in an instant as if they had teleported, which made her feel a little depressed.
