Inside the research institute, the lingering howls of the remaining wolves still echoed. Xiao Lin conducted a mental scan and found that the remaining wolves did not seem to be aggressive, so he ignored them.
Xia He and her group of four walked cautiously through the abandoned corridor, observing their surroundings warily.
The four searched each room in the research institute one by one. Due to the previous natural disaster, the institute's security system was practically non-existent. To enter a room, they simply broke down the door. Along the way, they put any metal they saw that was even slightly unusual into their bags. Xia He secretly stored the metal into her spatial storage, as she didn't want to carry a large bag of metal around.
The group arrived at the top floor of the research institute and found a laboratory that seemed to be quite important, as the laboratory had five doors, indicating that the security measures were extremely rigorous.
Upon entering the laboratory, everyone was stunned by what they saw, as there was a faint light inside.
"It looks like this place is still functioning?" Xia He said softly.
Ling Feng held up a flashlight, illuminating the surroundings. Despite the dilapidated state of the research institute, the equipment in the laboratory was still running with a weak current. Various experimental instruments were piled on the table, along with some liquids in glass bottles, some of which had been kept at a constant temperature and preserved to this day.
Xia He walked to a large experimental table, on which were placed some metal materials, all covered by glass covers, which looked quite special.
She bent down, examined it carefully, and then picked up one of the metal pieces in her hand.
Then he said to Xiao Lin, "See if any of these metals are what you're looking for?"
Xiao Lin walked over and carefully examined each piece of metal on the platform. Then he took out the hand-drawn picture and compared it carefully. He found that the metal in one of the glass cases was the Star Crystal Gold they needed!
Xiao Lin's face lit up with joy. "This is the Star Crystal Gold! We've found it!"
They then began to examine the entire interior of the laboratory, and ordered Ling Feng and another soldier to empty the entire laboratory together!
The four of them carried the load once, and then called on Shanghai Dong to help carry it downstairs.

Xiao Lin discovered that the research institute had too much stuff, and the few vehicles he brought were simply not enough to hold it all. So he asked Hai Dong to take the wounded back and bring a large truck over, and to take the Star Crystal Gold back to Dr. Fu along with it.
Xiao Lin and his companions found a relatively desolate spot near the research institute and buried their deceased brother in an uninhabited place.

Xia He stood quietly to the side, silently watching the faces of each soldier. Xiao Lin and the others remained silent, bent down, and began digging a hole.
Although their movements were calm, the shovels in their hands seemed to be digging out endless sorrow from the depths of their hearts.
