The massive phytoplankton was momentarily stunned, then became somewhat chaotic after being subjected to a powerful attack. This presented an opportunity for everyone to break through.
"Quick, rush over while they're in disarray!" Xia He brandished her weapon and charged ahead first.
The convoy followed closely behind, cleverly taking advantage of the plants' disarray to break through the initial obstruction. Xiao Lin continuously released his mental energy, disrupting the plants' offensive and creating more opportunities for the convoy.
In the fierce battle, the group charged through the vegetation, getting closer and closer to their target, the nest. However, the nest seemed to sense their movements and frantically released vines, attempting to keep them out.
"We're almost there, everyone hang in there!" Xiao Lin's voice echoed through the convoy.
Xia He and Xiao Lin worked in perfect harmony, weaving through the massive vegetation and constantly fending off attacks from the vines. The group was filled with determination; they knew that once they broke through this plant defense, they could find the source of the nest and destroy the threat.
Xia He and Xiao Lin led the caravan, struggling through the encirclement of plants. Vines attacked relentlessly, like countless agile tentacles, but Xia He and Xiao Lin's tacit cooperation, along with the powerful supernatural abilities of the caravan members, allowed them to maintain a steady pace.
As the group approached the nest, the plants' attacks intensified. Xia He wielded her weapon, sometimes slashing at the vines, sometimes unleashing powerful supernatural energy. Xiao Lin, on the other hand, focused his mental energy, constantly sweeping away the plants' mental fluctuations and blocking their attacks.
"Everyone, concentrate your firepower and destroy the connection points of these plants!" Xiao Lin shouted.
Everyone responded, unleashing even more powerful supernatural attacks, targeting the plant's critical points. Under this intense assault, cracks began to appear in the plant's massive defenses.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Xia He charged forward, aiming at the center of the massive plant grove, ready to deliver a fatal blow. However, just as she was about to launch her attack, the massive plant grove suddenly underwent a strange change.
The roots of the plants began to surge, and the ground trembled. A powerful wave spread throughout the area, causing Xia He and Xiao Lin to feel an invisible resistance.
"What's going on?" Xiao Lin frowned.
Xia He stared intently ahead, sensing a powerful aura, which seemed to be a sign that some kind of seal had been broken.
Suddenly, a sharp, low hissing sound came from the huge grove of plants. Everyone covered their ears, and some of those with lower abilities even bled from their ears!
Seeing this, Xiao Lin had no choice but to use a mental barrier to envelop the group within it.
Xia He couldn't take it anymore. Today, right now, she had to get rid of these vines!
Xia He stood up and flew out of the window. The Green Dragon Crescent Blade in her hand instantly enlarged. Xia He stepped on it steadily, constantly forming hand seals and releasing powerful energy!
First, she froze the vine tentacles with ice, then used an ice-breaking spell. With a shout of "Break!", the vines instantly scattered and exploded! They turned into fragments in the air, and the sharp sound of the vines seemed to rise in pitch, piercing Xia He's ears painfully!
Next, Xia He unleashed a fire-type skill, sending a huge fireball straight to the bottom of the vines!
The burning vines tried to escape, but Xia He wouldn't give them that chance. She immediately unleashed a lightning strike, hitting the vines directly!
A bolt of lightning ripped across the sky as Xia He's supernatural ability coalesced into a massive bolt of lightning, striking the base of the vine. Instantly, arcs of electricity erupted across the vine, turning it into charred remains with a piercing explosion.
This series of attacks plunged the previously rampant plant community into brief chaos. The vines, like uncontrolled tentacles, retreated back into the ground in an attempt to avoid Xia He's fierce onslaught.
Xia He leaped into the air, her figure like a whirlwind, swiftly rushing towards the center of the plant. The Green Dragon Crescent Blade in her hand emitted a dazzling light; she concentrated all her energy, preparing to kill with a single blow.
The enormous vines intertwined, resembling a dark cloud, and Xia He's gaze was firm and sharp. She drew a perfect arc in the air, and the blade slashed down with the force of thunder, heading straight for the heart of the plant.
"Thunder Slash!" Xia He shouted, and the moment the blade fell, a massive bolt of lightning struck the core of the vine. The lightning flashed, as if a god had descended.
The plants screamed across the field, their massive vines twisting violently, and plumes of black smoke billowing from their gaps. Xia He's thunderous strike severely damaged the plant's core, causing the entire plant nest to pause in shock.
As the lightning faded, Xia He gracefully landed on the ground. Her gaze swept over the ruins, where the remaining vines twitched a few times before turning to ashes.
The massive phytoplankton fell silent, and for a moment, the entire area returned to calm. Xia He's lightning strike had completely destroyed the core of the mutated plants, ending their invasion.
"We did it!" Someone in the superhuman team shouted, and then a burst of applause erupted in the carriage.
Xia He calmly took out the RV again. Right now, Xia He just felt so tired and wanted to rest as soon as possible. So she didn't want to care about the mess that had happened before. After getting into the RV with the two little ones, she went straight to the big bed inside.
Xiao Lin then asked Hai Dong and Ling Feng to go to the RV and drive the way, and said to Fu Jing, "Fu Jing, you are in charge of treating the team members' wounds. I'm leaving this to you."
"Wang Biao, you're in charge of the team's arrangements. Have someone collect some samples of the mutated plants and give them to Professor Fu for research once we get back to base.
