Chapter 23 Departure from the Sands

On June 16th, Xia He was departing for Saudi Arabia. She had already contacted Linda in advance and arranged to meet the next day. On her way to the airport, she received a call from Zhang Fuqiang.

For the past month or so, Xia He had been busy stocking up on goods and had completely forgotten about Zhang Fuqiang. It wasn't until Zhang Fuqiang called that she realized she had forgotten to resign. So she answered the phone, only to be met with a barrage of loud questions: "Xia He! Didn't you say you had stomach cancer and were undergoing treatment, taking a month's leave? It's been over a month and I haven't even urged you! But you went to Saudi Arabia in the blink of an eye. What does this mean? Are you lying to me? If it weren't for my recent business dealings with Linda in Saudi Arabia, I wouldn't have known you went there today!"

Hearing Zhang Fuqiang yelling like a cornered dog, Xia He wisely held the phone away from her ear and calmly told him, "That's right, I messed with you. So what? I quit! I'm resigning!" The natural disaster was just over two weeks away. Even if Zhang Fuqiang sued Xia He for breach of contract, so what? With the disaster approaching, who cared about work or broken promises!

Next, Xia He arrived at the airport, completed the pet registration procedures for the two little ones, and then set off for the Saudi Arabian Peninsula with them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard Warsaw Airlines. This flight will take you from China to Saudi Arabia. The estimated flight time is 13 hours and 30 minutes. To ensure the proper functioning of the aircraft's navigation and communication systems, please refrain from using electronic devices such as... during takeoff and landing. Passengers traveling with pets, please keep your pets under control. We wish you a pleasant journey! Thank you."

Xia He heard the familiar flight attendant's voice. The two little ones were unusually excited in Xia He's private cabin, their clear, silly eyes looking around. Panda, in particular, was so startled that he almost howled like a wolf, but Tangyuan slapped him down. Just then, there was a knock on the cabin door, accompanied by a male voice, "Madam, I am a staff member of this flight. Would you like anything? We have drinks, meals, pet treats, etc."

Xia He saw that the person who came was a blond, blue-eyed foreign guy with a high nose bridge, but he spoke fluent English. She couldn't help but take a few more glances at him. For some reason, Xia He felt that this blond, blue-eyed foreign guy had an unusual temperament, but she couldn't put her finger on what was so unusual about him.

So Xiahe casually gave the two little ones some pet treats, sent the visitor away, and then went into hibernation, leaving only the two little ones clinging to the window and looking around.

When Xia He stepped onto the continent at a different latitude, the first thing she felt was the heat wave. The country is located in the tropics, and both the sunshine and temperature are very high. The two little ones were so hot that their feet were burning as soon as they got off the plane. There was nothing Xia He could do but carry the two little ones to the hotel.

After arriving at the hotel, Xiahe first contacted Linda to inform her that she had checked in smoothly. After settling the two little ones into the hotel room, she set off to meet Linda. Xiahe originally wanted to take the two little ones out with her, but considering the high temperature in Saudi Arabia, she had no choice but to wait until the evening when the temperature was not so high and the ground was not so hot to the feet before taking the two little ones out.

Xia He had never met Linda before, and all their communication was through text messages. When Xia He arrived at the agreed location, she found a tall woman with a high ponytail, a tanned complexion, wearing a black tight-fitting top and a leopard-print pencil skirt, exuding a shrewd and intelligent aura.
