Xia He returned home and called Xiao Q to turn on the underfloor heating, air conditioning, fresh air system, and heater. Then she went back to the kang (heated brick bed) in Northeast China, where the fire had gone out after a day of neglect.
After lighting the fire on the kang (heated brick bed), the two little ones were released. As soon as they came out of the space, they shivered because it was so cold.
Xia He didn't want to go to bed dressed, so she took a beanbag chair and curled up on the floor. She then took out a small table, put some dog food and water for the two little ones, and drank a bowl of hot soup and ate some porridge herself.
Xia He hadn't slept for a day and a night, and was exhausted both mentally and physically. She really didn't feel like making anything nice for the two little ones. As they were eating, the room temperature gradually rose, but the kang (heated brick bed) was still not warm enough. Xia He took off her polar cold-weather suit and mink coat.
She went to the bathroom, took out the bathtub filled with hot water, and took a comfortable bath to relieve her fatigue. After Xiahe finished bathing, the temperature of the kang (heated brick bed) was about right, so she crawled into the quilt and fell into a deep sleep.
When Xia He opened her eyes again, it was already dark. She got up and saw the two little ones looking at her with resentful eyes. She checked the time and found that it was already 9 o'clock. She had slept for a whole day.
The two little ones were starving. They had only eaten a little dry dog food in the morning and were very unhappy. Now that they had been hungry all day, the panda saw Xia He wake up and jumped onto her, making "woof woof woof" noises to express its dissatisfaction.
"Food ticket! Look! It's already dark! You've been sleeping all day! Hurry up and get me some food! Hurry! I'm starving!"
Then they started parkour in the room.
Xia He sighed helplessly, "Why is this dog so temperamental?" Then her stomach started to rumble in protest.
After getting up and washing up, I prepared a sumptuous dinner for the dogs.
Boiled beef was served as the main dish, accompanied by broccoli, carrots, and sweet potatoes for added vitamins. Goat milk powder was also added, and finally, teething cheese sticks were given as an after-meal snack.
Xia He then returned to the kang (heated brick bed) and pondered what to eat for dinner.
After thinking it over, I took out a hot pot. What could be happier than eating hot pot on a warm kang (heated brick bed) on a cold night?
Fortunately, Xiahe had placed a bedside table next to the kang (heated brick bed) for convenience, so now Xiahe can enjoy her meals simply by sitting cross-legged next to the kang.
The hot pot was ordered from home, and the restaurant even gave us a pot as a gift. However, the hot pot base and other ingredients still need to be cooked because they are still solid.
While waiting for the broth in the pot to boil, Xia He took out a projector and selected a TV show to watch while eating, projecting it onto the wall.
Then he took out some sliced beef, tripe, duck intestines, spicy beef, and crispy pork, made his own secret sauce, and started eating with great relish. Not satisfied with the meal, he added a small fish and started another pot.
As Xia He was happily enjoying her hotpot and singing, Xiao Hua's voice echoed in her mind: "When are you finally going to have time to listen to me?"
Xia He could tell that Xia He was angry, so she said, "You can do it now. Tell me, I'm listening."
He then continued slurping his tripe and even grabbed a plate of fried rice with eggs.
