Chapter 203 Bombing Zombies

"Xia He, let's go!" Xiao Lin commanded. The two rushed towards the door, clearing away the zombies in front of them to ensure the passage was clear.

The two rushed out of the laboratory, and Xia He immediately enlarged the Green Dragon Crescent Blade. After the two quickly jumped onto it, Xia He manipulated the Green Dragon Crescent Blade to fly quickly to the top of the base.

Xiao Lin took out his communicator. "Professor Fu, we're almost at the entrance to the top of the base. Get ready to have someone open the door!"

When the two reached the top of the base, the dome slowly opened, and the two seized the opportunity to quickly sneak in.

As soon as the two entered the base, Hai Dong and his men immediately surrounded them, shouting, "Boss! Are you alright?!"

"It's alright, go to the conference room immediately for a meeting!" Xiao Lin ordered coldly.

"Okay!" Hai Dong replied readily.

Xiao Lin and Xia He went to the conference room first, where Professor Fu and Dr. Wang were already waiting.

One after another, Hai Dong, Ling Feng, Wang Qiyang, and all the leaders, big and small, within the base arrived.

"Almost everyone's here. Let's get started. Xia He and I just discovered a creature that looks like a zombie in the abandoned lab provided by Haidong Team One."

Xiao Lin described the images that he and Xia He had seen in the laboratory.

"From our battle just now, we discovered that attacking other parts of these zombie-like creatures is useless; only by breaking their heads can we disable them," Xia He said.

"If these zombie creatures can spread to other places by biting people, why haven't they spread to other places?" Hai Dong asked, puzzled.

“Indeed, and along the way we’ve only encountered mutated animals, we haven’t found any creatures like this,” Professor Fu echoed.

“That’s what I’m curious about too. In this place, I can’t use my mental detection, and the range is limited to this oil field,” Xiao Lin replied.

The meeting was in full swing when someone came in to report, "Base Commander! We've discovered in the monitoring room that the base is surrounded by 'people'!"

Xiao Lin's expression hardened. "They've attacked?"

"Haidong, Lingfeng! Immediately organize your forces and prepare for battle! Remember not to get bitten!" Xiao Lin instructed.

“Let’s go to the monitoring room,” Xiao Lin said to Xia He.

“Okay!” Xia He replied.

The two went to the monitoring room and found that the base was surrounded by a dense mass of zombies!

The monitoring room was dimly lit, with faint images appearing on the screen. Xia He and Xiao Lin stared intently at the screen, sensing the threat posed by the terrifying presence outside the base. The blurry figures of the zombies looked even more horrifying in the darkness.

"So many of them, how did they suddenly appear around the base?" Xia He frowned.

Xiao Lin calmly observed the surveillance footage, his gaze sharp: "They are very fast and numerous, we must quickly formulate a countermeasure."

In the monitoring room, the scene displayed on the screen made Xia He and Xiao Lin's expressions turn serious. A dense horde of zombies surrounded the base, emitting low, chilling roars, as if taunting the threat to humanity.

The hordes of zombies surrounding the base formed a dark ocean, surging forward like a tide, impossible to avoid. Though their movements were stiff, their speed was astonishing when moving in groups. In the night wind, their low roars intertwined into a symphony of death.

On the screen, the details of each zombie became clear and terrifying. Some zombies had twisted necks and raised heads, as if searching for prey; some were covered in tattered work clothes, stained with dark red blood; and some had broken arms, yet they could swing them in an incredible way, like silent dancers.

The fangs protruding from their blood-stained mouths were like those of ghosts, each mouth conveying a thirst for life. Some zombies had their abdomens ripped open, their entrails spilling out, like altars of death. Their eyes gleamed with a fanatical red light, as if they were messengers from the underworld.

Xia He gripped the Green Dragon Crescent Blade tightly, sensing the intense aura of death permeating the air. Xiao Lin was equally solemn, his eyes cold yet resolute. This was no longer just a simple battle against zombies; it was a battle concerning the survival of the base.

Under the cover of darkness, the zombies appeared eerie and terrifying in the dim light of the base. A dense horde of zombies surrounded the base, their empty eyes radiating an aura of death.

Each zombie had a gaping, bloody mouth, with bloodstains between its teeth, as if it had once been a ravenous beast in life. Some zombies had severed arms, swaying like sickly branches, while others had gaping holes in their abdomens, exposing their mangled internal organs.

These zombies were dressed in tattered clothes, their skin was pale and rotting, and they emitted an unbearable stench.

The zombies' figures appeared eerie and terrifying in the pitch-black night. Countless zombies surrounded the base, their empty eyes radiating an aura of death.

Under the dim yellow light surrounding the base, they cast eerie shadows, each step a low murmur in the deathly silence, as if calling out to death.

"There are too many zombies, and we don't know their capabilities yet. We can't use land warfare; we have to deal with them from the air."

Xiao Lin took out his communicator and said, "Hai Dong, check how many helicopters are in the base."

"Okay, boss, I'm going now," Hai Dong replied as he ran.

"Xia He, how many helicopters do you have in your space?" Xiao Lin asked.

“There are still 10 aircraft left, not too many.” Xia He frowned.

"That should be enough, I have five more here." Xiao Lin frowned as well.
