Chapter 110 Making His Antidote
Dinner ended, and the night was gentle.
Ruan Yao, led by Huo Yanzhi, strolled leisurely on the beach to digest her food.
She kicked off her shoes and stepped barefoot onto the soft sand, her toes playfully curling up.
The aftereffects of the white wine made her feel light and airy, as if she were walking on clouds.
After walking only a few steps, she became stubborn and refused to move, clinging to Huo Yanzhi and whining and acting coquettishly.
"I can't walk anymore, my legs are so sore."
Huo Yanzhi stopped and turned to look at her.
In the darkness, the girl's cheeks were flushed with a beautiful blush, and her doe-like eyes were shimmering with moisture, veiled by a thin layer of mist, as she stared straight at him.
His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and without saying a word, he bent down and picked her up in his arms.
Ruan Yao gasped in surprise, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her head in his firm chest, nuzzling against him.
The familiar cool fragrance mixed with his warm breath made her feel incredibly at ease.
"You didn't even ask me if I wanted a hug," she muttered softly, with a hint of spoiled self-righteousness.
"Mmm." Huo Yanzhi carried her towards the villa, his steps steady. "Shall I put you down now?"
"No!" Ruan Yao immediately tightened her arms, clinging to him like a koala, afraid that he would really let go.
Huo Yanzhi's lips curled up, and a deep laugh escaped from his chest, making her eardrums tingle.
Back at the villa, only a dim bedside lamp was left on in the bedroom.
He gently placed her on the soft bed, then leaned down and kissed her.
It carried the salty dampness of the sea breeze, the rich aroma of wine, and his unique, intoxicating aura.
Ruan Yao tilted her head back, enduring his gentle invasion, and the little clarity left in her mind was quickly turned into a mess.
His kisses traveled downwards, from his lips to his chin, and then to his long neck.
The intimate sucking sounds were exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
Ruan Yao's whole body went limp, like a pool of spring water, and she could only weakly clutch the bed sheet beneath him.
As his hand skillfully untied the ribbons of her skirt, his other hand instinctively reached for the bedside light switch.
This is his habit.
Whenever he was deeply in love, he would turn off all the lights and, in absolute darkness, possess her with his most primal instincts.
Just as his fingertips were about to touch the switch, a soft little hand covered his hand and stopped him.
"Don't turn it off."
Ruan Yao's voice was very soft.
Huo Yanzhi stopped moving.
He looked down and saw the girl beneath him looking up at him, her eyes, which were always moist and misty, now clear and earnest.
“I want to look at you,” she said.
He froze completely.
Ruan Yao did not give him a chance to refuse.
She propped herself up, stretched out her arms, wrapped them around his neck again, and then kissed his lips.
This kiss was different from the previous one; it carried a soothing meaning.
Then, the gentle kiss left his lips and traveled downwards.
It glides over his sharply defined jawline, past his slightly bobbing Adam's apple, and finally rests on his collar.
Ruan Yao unbuttoned her clothes, her breath catching in her throat for a moment.
She already knew he had scars.
In her previous life, in the darkness, she had unintentionally touched those rough, uneven lines.
But when those scars were truly exposed under the light, the visual impact still made her heart clench painfully.
It's not just one or two scars.
The marks were crisscrossed and covered most of his chest and back, a grotesque pattern.
Some are long, some are short; some are deep, some are shallow.
It looked like it had been whipped, or cut by a sharp object, and there were even a few circular scars that looked like cigarette burns.
These ugly marks marred this otherwise perfect body, like indelible stains on a beautiful painting.
Huo Yanzhi's body stiffened the moment her gaze fell upon him.
He almost immediately wanted to turn around, to cover himself with the blanket, to retreat back into the darkness where he felt safe.
However, all his movements were stopped by a gentle hug.
Ruan Yao slowly, slowly, hugged him from behind.
Then, a moist and warm kiss gently landed on the longest scar on his back.
As she kissed him, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably, landing on his warm skin and quickly spreading.
Huo Yanzhi tensed up completely.
He tried to dodge, but his body seemed to be nailed to the spot, unable to move.
The kisses didn't stop.
The second one, the third one...
Gently, devoutly, with a tenderness that made his heart tremble, they landed one after another on the crisscrossing old scars on his back.
They were like scalding branding marks, burning deep into his soul through his already numb and ugly flesh.
He didn't cry as he rolled in the mud.
He did not cry when he was whipped.
He didn't cry when he was fighting for food like a dog.
But now, this girl, whom he regards as a goddess, is kissing his dirtiest, most shameful wounds.
Huo Yanzhi's eyes turned frighteningly red in that instant.
A strange, scalding warmth spread from my heart to every part of my body.
He slowly closed his eyes, his long eyelashes casting a trembling shadow under the light.
When Ruan Yao's kiss traveled upwards and finally landed on the intact skin behind his ear, Huo Yanzhi finally moved.
He turned around.
On that usually calm and composed face, Ruan Yao had never seen such a broken expression before.
Ruan Yao was startled by his appearance, but she did not back down.
She reached out and gently stroked the corners of his reddened eyes with her fingertips, her voice filled with unbearable heartache.
"Huo Yanzhi, I'm not afraid."
This sentence became the last straw that broke the camel's back.
He took the initiative and pinned the girl, who was still trying to comfort him, firmly beneath him.
His eyes churned with long-suppressed, almost frantic emotions, like a wild beast breaking free of all its shackles.
"Slender and graceful..."
He called her name, "Let's have a child."
Ruan Yao's mind went blank with a "buzz" as his sudden words blew her mind.
But she didn't have time to think.
Because in the next second, an overwhelming wave of love would completely engulf her.
Extreme tenderness and extreme possessiveness are intertwined in a contradictory way.
He showed her through his actions that every touch and every pang of heartache she gave him was like a spark that ignited an unquenchable raging fire in her already desolate heart.
The sound of the waves outside the window gradually faded into the distance, and the air in the bedroom was scalding hot with passion and love.
As they floated up and down, Ruan Yao clung to his sweaty back, her fingernails unconsciously digging into his flesh, leaving behind new marks that belonged to her.
She knew that this man loved her with all his might.
If he is sick.
She willingly became his only antidote.
The night is still long.
