Chapter 95 Fitting Room
Huo Yanzhi put down the magazine and stood up.
The sales assistant immediately understood and considerately stood guard at a distance to ensure that no one would disturb them.
He pushed the door open and went in, then locked it behind him.
The fitting room was small, and the lighting was so bright it was almost blinding.
Ruan Yao had her back to him, her dark silk satin intertwined with her pure white skin.
Her facial features were smooth and beautiful, without a single pore visible.
Huo Yanzhi's breathing became erratic the moment he saw her back.
He thought he had mentally prepared himself, but when he saw her wearing that dress, the dark possessiveness lurking in his bones broke through the cage of reason in an instant.
"What's wrong?"
He stepped forward, his voice calm and devoid of any emotion.
Ruan Yao felt extremely uncomfortable under his gaze, and her ears turned bright red.
She had her back to him.
“It’s right here,” she pointed to the thin strap behind her back. “It’s a bit complicated. I’ve tried to tie it several times but it’s always crooked.”
Huo Yanzhi stepped forward, but did not make a move immediately.
"Wear this?" He leaned down.
"Hmm...doesn't it look good?" Ruan Yao felt a little ticklish from his teasing and subconsciously shrank her neck.
Huo Yanzhi didn't answer, but gently turned her around so that she faced the huge floor-length mirror.
In the mirror, the girl resembled a newly blossoming, dark-colored lotus.
Behind her stood a tall man in a suit and tie.
His figure almost completely enveloped her, creating a visually oppressive effect.
"It looks good," Huo Yanzhi finally said.
She saw the man behind her through the huge dressing mirror in front of her.
He was looking down, intently at her back, his gaze deep and filled with intense emotions she couldn't understand.
The fingertips pointed downwards, finally landing on the loose strap.
"Don't move."
When he spoke, his voice was a few degrees hoarseer than usual.
Ruan Yao dared not move.
She looked at him in the mirror and began to slowly and deliberately adjust the thin strap for her.
His movements were slow.
The fitting room was eerily quiet, with only the sound of their breathing mingling.
Ruan Yao's heart was pounding, and she felt her cheeks were so hot they could fry an egg on them.
Just when she thought she was about to faint from lack of oxygen, he finally tied it up.
A pretty bow, not too big or too small, landed perfectly on the most concave part of her back.
"Okay," he said.
Ruan Yao breathed a sigh of relief and was about to turn around when his hands suddenly pressed down on her shoulders.
"Don't move," he said again, bending down.
"Why are you turning around?" His voice was low, with a hint of a smile.
"Weren't you going to show it to me?"
In the mirror, the man's tall figure almost completely enveloped her.
Ruan Yao's heart skipped a beat, and she nervously grabbed the clothes rack rod in front of her.
"I...I've decided, this one doesn't suit me. I want to change into the white one," she said softly, trying to end the embarrassing situation.
Huo Yanzhi, however, seemed not to hear.
The butterfly gently brushes against the petals, descending downwards like a wild beast marking its territory, leaving its trail.
"Huo Yanzhi..." Ruan Yao blushed and spoke, her voice so soft it could melt your heart, "What...what are you doing..."
Outside is a bustling shopping mall where people come and go, and someone could pass by at any time.
This atmosphere of hanging by a thread made her...
What happened here?
He chuckled softly.
His hand slid down to... and gently covered it.
Even though there was a layer between them... it was still scalding hot.
"So graceful and beautiful."
He pressed close to her, praising her in an almost murmured tone.
With his other hand, he lifted her chin, forcing her to look at herself in the mirror.
The girl in the mirror had reddened eyes and slightly erratic breathing.
The man behind her was impeccably dressed and appeared calm.
The stark contrast made Ruan Yao blush with embarrassment.
She wanted to close her eyes, but Huo Yanzhi wouldn't allow it.
It fell again.
It's like appreciating a precious work of art, each time with an almost reverent feeling.
He even discreetly left a clear mark in the most conspicuous place below the back of her neck.
"Huo Yanzhi..."
"Hmm?" he replied casually, but his hands didn't stop.
Ruan Yao could no longer speak.
She was trapped between the mirrors, with nowhere to escape.
Finally, she collapsed softly into his arms, her mind blank.
The person who started it all was still impeccably dressed, with not even a wrinkle in his tie.
Huo Yanzhi looked at the girl's reflection in the mirror, a dark satisfaction flashing in his eyes.
He slowly took out a handkerchief and cleaned himself.
Then, he lowered his head and gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
“This one doesn’t look good,” Huo Yanzhi’s voice was so gentle it could melt your heart. “The white one suits you better.”
It was as if the person who had just committed such a thuggish act was not him at all.
Ruan Yao was so embarrassed and annoyed by his sanctimonious appearance that she couldn't speak. She could only glare at him accusingly with her wet eyes.
That look had no intimidating power whatsoever; instead, it seemed more like she was being coquettish.
Huo Yanzhi's Adam's apple bobbed as he looked at it.
He restrained his urge to kiss her, straightened up, and straightened her swimsuit that he had torn open.
"Change your clothes and come out. I'll be waiting for you outside."
Then, he opened the fitting room door and casually gave instructions to the sales assistant waiting outside.
“All the pieces my wife tried on, including the one she's wearing, are wrapped up.”
