Everyone curiously gathered around, wanting to see who the adulterer was, but they were all stunned the moment they saw the man's face lying on the bed.
"Section Chief Su?" Old Li was the first to call out.
"It really is Section Chief Su!"
"Wow, I never would have guessed! He always seemed like such a gentleman!"
"This damn hypocrite, arrest him right now!"
People were talking about it, and some radicals even wanted to slap Su Ning awake and take him to the police station.
Su Ning woke up amidst the scuffle. He looked around at a group of people cursing him, bewildered. He then turned to see Li Xiuhua lying next to the bed.
"Why did you do this to my daughter?" Old Li asked, pretending to be angry, as he grabbed Su Ning by the collar.
Su Ning looked at the furious Old Li with a bewildered expression, "What did I do?"
Just then, Lin Chaosheng was taking Liang Fu and Su Hang to the gambling den to settle accounts with Li Erniu. Su Hang was immediately drawn to the noisy noise in the alley.
"Brother Chaosheng, let's go take a look. It won't delay anything." Su Hangsheng loved watching the excitement and kept pestering Lin Chaosheng to go.
Seeing that it was still early, Lin Chaosheng asked Liang Fu if she wanted to go and watch the excitement.
But who wouldn't want to watch a show? Liang Fu readily agreed, thinking it would be a good opportunity to watch something else and forget the terrifying events of the past few days.
The three of them followed the others into a house in the alley and roughly understood what had happened.
"Brother Chaosheng, why are there so many people like this in the world?" Su Ning sighed and said sadly.
Because of what Liang Fu and Su Hang had experienced a few days ago, Lin Chaosheng was furious to see another girl being violated, and he clenched his fist tightly.
"I'm going in to see what kind of beast he is!" Lin Chaosheng followed him in, looking furious.
When they first entered, the three of them were blocked by the crowd of onlookers, but Lin Chaosheng forced his way to the front of the crowd.
When I looked, I was shocked. The person who sat up in bed was none other than Su Ning!
"What did you do? Look at what you've done!" Old Li shouted angrily at Su Ning.
Lin Chaosheng looked at the bewildered Su Ning, then glanced at the surrounding crowd, and began to wonder, "Why do some of these people look so familiar?"
Then he saw Li Erniu's underlings hiding to the side, grinning mischievously, and Lin Chaosheng immediately remembered this person.
"I don't think he did anything wrong; someone deliberately framed him!" Lin Chaosheng pushed Old Li aside and stood in front of Su Ning.
When Li Erniu's gang saw that it was Lin Chaosheng, they hurriedly tried to run away.
Lin Chaosheng wasn't about to give them a chance. He rushed forward and grabbed Li Erniu's henchman.
"It has to be you, right? Only someone like you would come up with such a disgusting scheme!" Lin Chaosheng said viciously.
The henchman was still not giving up and shouted, "Look! That beast actually has helpers!"
Upon hearing this, everyone wanted to step forward to help Li Erniu's underlings. Seeing this, Su Hang immediately stood up and asked, "What do you want to do to my brother?"
“Your brother is a beast! We must act on behalf of Heaven and transfer him to the police!” someone shouted.
Su Hang sneered, "You say he did it, so it's him? Do you have any evidence?"
Old Li immediately retorted, "What evidence do we need? My daughter is lying here, and this beast is lying right next to her!"
"Yeah, yeah, what more evidence do we need? It's all right in front of us, isn't it?"
"She only helped him because he's her brother; the whole family are filthy!"
"Pah! You two sons of bitches!"
Su Hang burst into tears, "What right do you have to insult my mother? And if you want evidence, take that girl to the hospital for a checkup! Don't just spread rumors here!"
“Exactly! You’re just here to watch the show. Don’t believe everything others say!” Liang Fu rushed over to help Su Hang when she saw him crying.
When Su Ning saw Liang Fu arrive, she became very anxious. She frantically searched for her shirt and pants and quickly put them on, explaining to Liang Fu, "Liang Fu, please listen to me, I don't know what happened either, I..."
Liang Fu nodded and quickly comforted him, "It's okay, Brother Su Ning, I believe in you, you're not that kind of person."
When Su Ning heard that Liang Fu was willing to believe him, he immediately perked up: "Everyone, please listen to my story. I was invited to Old Li's house for dinner today. Old Li kept pouring me drinks, and I couldn't drink anymore. I wanted to say goodbye to him, but I passed out."
Everyone looked him up and down with suspicion.
Su Ning quickly added, "Wait for me a moment, they definitely have evidence, I'll find it for you!"
As he spoke, he walked to the dining table, pointed to the two sets of bowls and chopsticks and the two wine glasses on the table, and said, "Look, I was just having dinner with Lao Li!"
"That was me having dinner with my daughter!" Old Li tried his best to argue.
Su Ning was furious. "Fine, you'll eat with your daughter, right? Then I'll take this wine to the hospital right now to have it tested and see if there's anything else in it."
Old Li panicked upon hearing this, "What's there to test? What's there to test about me eating with my daughter?"
"You mean you were having dinner with your daughter, right?" Su Ning asked.
Old Li had no idea what he was up to. "So what if it is?"
"And then you said you went out to buy something, right?"
Old Li nodded, "Yes, is there a problem?"
Su Ning's eyes widened. "Excuse me, what are you going out to buy halfway through your meal? And what about your things?"
Then he turned to look at everyone and said, "Everyone, when you came over to see what was going on, did you see him holding anything in his hand?"
The people around tried to recall carefully, asking each other, "I didn't see it when I came, did you see it?"
"I don't think I saw it either?"
"And what could he possibly buy if he went out halfway through his meal?"
"And why was he drinking with her daughter?"
A chorus of questions arose from the crowd, and Old Li hurriedly explained, "Who said I didn't buy anything? You didn't see it, so you can't just make things up!"
"But they didn't see me break into your house and assault your daughter, did they? And there's no evidence at all!" Su Ning retorted.
"Everyone, look what I found in the kitchen!" Su Hang came out with a packet of medicine containing white powder wrapped in a tissue.
Everyone crowded around to smell it, and someone immediately felt dizzy. "What is this stuff? Why do I feel so dizzy just from smelling it?"
