Chapter 21 Everyone got to eat wild boar meat

A group of burly, brown figures quickly ran out of the valley.

"B-Big brother, it looks like something's coming from over there..." one of the henchmen said anxiously.

Li Erniu raised his hunting rifle and aimed it at Lin Chaosheng, saying, "Even if the Emperor himself comes, I will kill this Lin Chaosheng today!"

But before he could fire, Zheng Ergou grabbed him and shouted, "Run, Second Master!"

Just as Li Erniu was about to get angry, he turned around and was so frightened that he almost wet his pants.

The group of wild boars charged towards them menacingly. "Ah! Help!" Li Erniu shouted.

Li Erniu and his henchmen fled in all directions, their screams and crashes echoing throughout the valley.

Li Erniu ran with tears streaming down his face, his belly and face trembling uncontrollably.

Lin Chaosheng, perched atop the tree, could hardly bear to look.

Li Erniu originally wanted to retaliate against the wild boar with his gun, but when he turned around and saw the wild boar's ferocious appearance, he was so frightened that he put the hunting rifle aside.

Unfortunately, his throw went off accidentally and hit a wild boar in the back.

This enraged the wild boar, which then began to specifically chase after Li Erniu.

"Mommy!" Li Erniu shouted in fright, but he tripped over a stone in front of him and rolled into the muddy puddle.

Seeing that the wild boar was about to run to another place, Lin Chaosheng quickly jumped down, blew his whistle, and lured the wild boar into the trap.

"Shh—" The villagers suddenly heard the whistle and all perked up.

Lin Chaosheng shouted as he ran, "They're here! Get ready!"

Then he suddenly climbed up the tree.

The villagers in the tree whistled one after another until the last villager whistled, and then the wild boars all fell into the trap.

"Squeak—" The wild boars, pierced by the pitchforks, let out miserable roars.

Then the villagers with ropes and nets rushed out quickly, gripping the nets tightly to prevent the wild boar from climbing out.

The remaining villagers jumped down from the trees and unleashed a barrage of fire at the wild boar with their homemade guns.

The wild boars were incredibly strong; Lin Chaosheng saw that there were still a few strong ones left, and one of them almost pulled up a villager who was securing a rope net.

He quickly grabbed a pitchfork and rushed over, plunging it into the head of a wild boar that was near the villager.

The wild boar struggled for a moment, then collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Seeing this, the other villagers who had been blowing whistles also grabbed pitchforks and stabbed the wild boars that were trying to climb up.

After about half an hour, the battle finally came to an end.

The wild boars all collapsed in the pit.

Everyone looked at each other, too excited to say a word.

"Are...are all of them dead?"

"I think they're all dead; they're not moving at all."

But Lin Chaosheng was still not entirely at ease, so he added a few more sharp blows.

The wild boars remained motionless.

"Thank God! We really don't have to go hungry anymore!"

The villagers were all in tears, thinking that they wouldn't have to go to bed hungry tonight.

Oh no, it's that they were incredibly excited because they didn't have to go to bed hungry for a while.

Seeing that everyone was so excited that they forgot about the important matter, Lin Chaosheng quickly reminded them, "Everyone, don't rush to celebrate. Let's drag it back to the village first."

The group then came to their senses and worked together to drag the five large wild boars out of the pit.

Then they were put on a cart and taken down the mountain together.

A few villagers had already told the rest of the village the good news when they went back to load the wild boars into their trucks, and now a bunch of people are waiting at the village entrance.

"Was what those kids said true?"

"It can't be fake, those guys are usually pretty well-behaved."

"Yeah, who would dare joke about this?"

As they were talking, Lin Chaosheng and the able-bodied men of the village dragged the wild boar back home.

"Hey, isn't that Lin Chaosheng and his group?"

"My God, that's a wild boar on that trailer!"

The villagers gathered around, utterly astonished.

"Chaosheng, you're really something! You actually led everyone to catch a wild boar!"

"Yes, yes, these wild boars look very fierce. It's thanks to Chaosheng that we have a solution."

"I knew it! Ren Linchaosheng is a promising talent!"

Everyone kept praising Lin Chaosheng, but their eyes were fixed on the wild boars.

At this moment, Village Chief Lü also arrived at the village entrance. He looked at the five large wild boars with surprise and was too moved to speak.

Seeing this, Lin Chaosheng quickly stepped forward and said to Village Chief Lü, "Village Chief, let's quickly distribute this meat among everyone."

Village Chief Lü wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes: "Yes, yes, you're right. How could I have forgotten the important matter?"

He then turned to the villagers and said, “Everyone! We must thank Lin Chaosheng properly this time. If it weren’t for his suggestion to take the young men of the village to the mountains to hunt, we don’t know how hungry we would be!”

Lin Chaosheng shook his head shyly, "No, no, no, it's mainly because everyone who went with me is capable. If I went alone, I really wouldn't have been able to get all of this!"

"Alright, stop being modest," Lin Shansheng nudged Lin Chaosheng on the shoulder. "If it weren't for your plan, which arranged for everyone to work together, we wouldn't have been able to kill a single wild boar!"

"What do you all think?" Lin Shansheng turned around and asked the villagers loudly.

"That's right!"

"Shansheng is right, so don't be modest!"

"That's right, it's all thanks to you, Lin Chaosheng!"

At this moment, a young man who had gone with them came out, his eyes filled with tears, and said, "Brother Chaosheng, if it weren't for you just now, I might have been dragged into the pit by the wild boar."

Lin Chaosheng then remembered that he had just seen him hanging by a thread, fiercely thrusting an iron pitchfork at the wild boar's head.

Lin Chaosheng quickly patted the young man on the shoulder, "Alright, Xiao, this is what I should do. You trust me so much and went hunting with me, how could I let anything happen to you?"

Everyone who saw this was deeply moved.

Last night, when the village chief went door-to-door to discuss the matter, most people looked disdainful and suspicious.

They simply couldn't believe that a gambler could suddenly transform into such a good person, and such a capable one at that.

Now they were convinced that Lin Chaosheng had truly changed from head to toe.

Seeing that it was getting dark if everyone continued talking, Village Chief Lü quickly called on the village butcher to slaughter the pig and distribute it to everyone.

After receiving his share, Lin Chaosheng hurriedly returned home.

Although Liang Mei and Liang Fu did not go out, the old lady next door had already informed them.

They then waited at home with peace of mind.

The moment Lin Chaosheng entered the room, the two of them rushed out.

"Are you alright anywhere?" Liang Mei quickly checked Lin Chaosheng for injuries.

"I know you're capable, brother-in-law, but you're too daring to hunt wild boar!" Liang Fu couldn't help but scold.

Liang Mei nodded in agreement after hearing this.

Lin Chaosheng was overjoyed to see how concerned the two were.

"Don't worry about me, I'll cook you all a nice meal tonight!" Lin Chaosheng rolled up his sleeves and got ready to get to work. "Let's celebrate!"
