Yun Gaofei obediently turned around and followed her out of the ward.
Zhou Yi walked to the place where boiling water was poured, filled a basin with boiling water, and put the aluminum lunch box in to heat it.
Then she turned and looked at Yun Gaofei, her beautiful eyes gleaming with anger as she whispered, "Old Yun, you haven't told your uncle and aunt about that yet, right?"
Yun Gaofei nodded like a child who had done something wrong, then lowered his head.
Zhou Yi was extremely helpless about Yun Gaofei's current expression, and whispered, "So, what do you think we should do about this matter now?"
Yun Gaofei raised his head, looked at Zhou Yi and said, "After the operation is over, I will explain the situation to them once Dad's condition stabilizes."
"So are you planning to hide this from them during your recovery period?" Zhou Yi was really speechless by his actions.
How could they conceal something like this? They had absolutely no connection with each other and didn't even live together.
Yun Gaofei nodded. He didn't expect such an emergency to happen. He originally planned to win his wife back, so he didn't tell his parents that they were divorced.
So that the elderly won’t worry.
After this happened, it was really hard to tell them about the divorce.
Zhou Yi naturally understood that it was not a good idea to provoke the elderly in this situation. You have to know that this was an era where 'there was only widowhood but no divorce', and all the elders regarded divorce as a shameful thing.
Telling them about this at this time would just be adding fuel to the fire, wouldn't it?
"Then what are your plans? Auntie can't stay in the hospital forever, right?" Zhou Yi asked him, holding his forehead.
Yun Gaofei was also aware of this problem, but if he took her to live in the military compound, firstly, she would definitely find out that Zhou Yi did not live there, and secondly, the journey was too far and inconvenient.
"I thought of arranging for her to stay in a guesthouse for a few days, and then see how the situation develops." Yun Gaofei thought about it and decided that this was the only solution available.
Zhou Yi glared at him and thought for a moment. This was indeed a method. Although he didn't know how long he could keep it secret, he might as well keep it secret for as long as possible.
She ignored Yun Gaofei and reached out to take out the stuffy lunch box.
Before she even touched the lunch box, Yun Gaofei reached out and said, "I'll do it. It's hot."
Zhou Yi looked up at him, then walked towards the ward without looking back.
Yun Gaofei quickly followed with the lunch box in hand.
After dinner, Yun Xiaoyun and Zhou Yi stayed in the hospital to look after Yun Zihua, while Yun Gaofei and Yun Feng packed their luggage and took their mother Huang Ying to the guesthouse next to the hospital to rent a room, telling her to rest well and that they would take care of the hospital.
At first, Huang Ying refused to stay in the guesthouse because of the price, but in the end, she couldn't persuade her son Yun Gaofei, so she had to stay.
But she thought, it's just one night, I can't stay any longer. This room is too expensive, it's simply a rip-off. It would be better to stay in the hospital and take care of the old man.
Yun Gaofei didn't know that his mother was planning to pack her luggage and go to the hospital tomorrow.
After settling Huang Ying, Yun Gaofei asked Yun Feng to go back and rest first, and he walked towards the hospital again.
"Xiaoyun, where is your sister-in-law?" Yun Gaofei returned to the ward and didn't see Zhou Yi. He looked at Yun Xiaoyun and asked.
"My sister-in-law is customizing the surgical plan in the conference room over there." Yun Xiaoyun raised his chin and said.
Yun Gaofei poured a cup of warm water, added a small piece of brown sugar to it, handed it to Yun Xiaoyun and said, "Xiaoyun, take it to your sister-in-law."
Yun Xiaoyun took the cup of water obediently and walked towards the meeting room next door.
Knowing that her sister-in-law was staying up late to save her father, she felt grateful and distressed, and also wanted to do something for her sister-in-law.
Yun Xiaoyun came back soon, and Yun Gaofei asked her to rest on the bed next to him while he would keep watch.
Yun Xiaoyun refused resolutely. She knew that her elder brother had not rested for two days in a row. She asked Yun Gaofei to go to bed and rest while she would keep watch.
Yun Gaofei couldn't persuade her, and he was really tired in the past two days, so he simply washed up and rested on the hospital bed.
The next day, before dawn, Zhou Yi stretched and walked out of the conference room.
As soon as I walked out, I saw Yun Gaofei's mother Huang Ying appear at the other end of the ward corridor, carrying large and small bags.
Zhou Yi walked over and wanted to ask her why she was there so early, but suddenly found that he didn't know how to address her.
Logically speaking, since she and Yun Gaofei have divorced, she shouldn't call her "Mom" anymore.
But the old man doesn’t know that they are divorced yet. It’s so difficult.
Zhou Yi thought about it, sighed, and walked forward and called out awkwardly: "Mom, why are you here so early? You can leave your luggage at the guesthouse."
She took the luggage from Huang Ying's hand, it was really heavy.
Huang Ying looked at Zhou Yi and said timidly, "Daughter-in-law, I'm checking out of the guesthouse. It's a rip-off. It costs five dollars a night."
Zhou Yi then realized that the old lady was afraid of spending money and had canceled her room at the guesthouse. She quickly said, "Mom, we don't need this little money. The main thing is that you need to have a good rest. The guesthouse is next to the hospital, so it's convenient for going back and forth."
Huang Ying glanced at Zhou Yi, wanting to say something but stopping herself. Finally, she couldn't help herself and said firmly, "Daughter-in-law, look at how skinny you are from starvation. Let's not stay in that guesthouse. I'll sleep here in the hospital. It's quite good and it'll be more convenient for me to take care of your father."
This made Zhou Yi confused again. Did they think Zhou Yi was thin because he didn't have enough money or food?
Forget about all these. The key point is that she doesn't want to spend money to stay in a guesthouse. We can't really let her stay in the hospital, right?
