Chapter 3 The thief ran away right under his nose

"Here you go! Run! Carry it home for grandma to eat."

"Thank you!" The boy named He Yuanzhou ran away.

Just as Li Qiumei was about to run, she saw Cheng Zhiqian coming out with a child who was younger than He Yuanzhou.

"The big one got away. I'll call the police to search this place..."

Cheng Zhiqian looked at Li Qiumei in surprise: "You let the thief get away?"

Li Qiumei remained calm and composed: "No, we couldn't catch him! He ran away on his own."

"This woman is literate."

As Cheng Zhiqian was thinking this, Li Qiumei suddenly grabbed his arm.

"Xiaoliu, run!"

Cheng Zhiqian reacted and wanted to chase after her, but was held tightly by Li Qiumei.

Two thieves actually escaped right under his nose. Cheng Zhiqian felt that he had failed in his duty as a soldier.
