The house was sold

The house was sold

Just like the crowded bonfire parties in all TV dramas, Director Yu organized the students in their grade into several classes and formed a circle and started dancing around the bonfire.

The pile of firewood in the middle was newly piled up by everyone, and the dry firewood crackled in the high temperature.

A staff member brought a speaker and microphone and placed them in the center. Everyone held hands, sang and circled around the dancing flames.

Director Yu stood in the middle, demonstrating belly dancing with his huge belly.

When she looked back again, Yu Shu met Lan Xing's eyes from afar. He blinked his big black eyes and smiled at her, shaking his head like the ethnic minorities in the movies.

The melodious sparks splash, fiery and unforgettable.

It was almost twelve o'clock and no one in the entire camp was sleeping. The mosquitoes flew away kindly, leaving the space intact.

Yu Shu raised one hand and lay on the floral cloth she brought with her, looking at the rare bright starry sky.

Xia Qiqi and Fu Xue were eating the potato chips they brought with them, crunching.

Old Yi and Li Qi came over panting, carrying a bucket. "There's still a lot of food left from the school. I'll bake some, come and share it."

The bucket was filled with plastic bags filled with skewers of meat.

Lao Yi was very frugal and could not stand waste. He called out to the students who had free hands in the camp: "Come over for a midnight snack. After eating, go to bed early. I'll wake you up tomorrow morning."

The classmates responded to him in a flurry of voices.

Lao Yi took a bunch of squid tentacles and ate them first, saying, "Those of you who can't eat spicy food, don't eat the ones I sprinkled chili on, or you'll get stomach upset."

People in Chuncheng like spicy food, but for some reason, half of the students in Class 10 can’t eat spicy food. One chili pepper can knock down half of the class.

Yu Shu belongs to the half that can still stand. She becomes stronger when faced with stronger opponents. The more spicy food she eats for a period of time, the more she can eat. If she stops eating spicy food for a while, she can no longer eat spicy food.

No one wanted to get an upset stomach after going out for fun, so no one objected and everyone just had more food.

In the end, after eating, I didn’t want to sleep anymore.

Some boys in the class went fishing by the lake. They actually caught some small fish using the simple fishing rods they made by hand.

There was a cheer from the boys.

Yu Shu and the others were not far away and looked over curiously.

"Whoever brought the bottle, put it back."

Several boys looked hesitant, not wanting to carry a water bottle with them all the way to soak the fish.

Seeing that others were still hesitating, Su Yuekang said, "Then I'll take it home to raise it. I have a big fish tank at home." He ran back to the camp and got a fat glass jar of pickled plums.

The people next to him laughed when they saw his container, but it was indeed better than a mineral water bottle. They said, "Remember to let it breathe. This fish looks quite cute. Don't eat it." After being caught, the little fish lying on the leaves slid into the water with a sweet plum scent.

Seeing how relaxed they were, Xia Qiqi also suggested going fishing.

Fortunately, it was just a shallow lake and couldn't cause any harm. Lao Yi turned over and saw the students in his class chattering about fishing and shrimping, and then he fell asleep with a peaceful snore.

I wasn't so lucky later on. The lake itself is shallow, and I caught a few small fish smaller than a thumb, and then the line dried up.

Sitting by the lake, we mainly chatted about everything and talked about our ideals.

Gradually, they talked about what they wanted to study in college. Some said they wanted to be an obstetrician and gynecologist, while others said they wanted to study abroad in faraway Northern Europe.

Gradually, everyone started talking a lot. Xia Qiqi held up Su Yuekang's plum jar and waved the small fish in her hands. Fu Xue asked, "What about you?"

"I want to study physical geography and see the incomparable nature."

Nowadays, there is no such trend that people will be ridiculed for talking about a certain major.

The class was discussing what they would learn in this major. Observing the mountains and the sea? Or seeing the ice and snow, or the ice storms?

This major, which is particularly romantic and interesting in nature, rarely appears in our lives.

Yu Shu bent her knees and thought that everyone was discussing this very well. She had long admired those elite adults.

We chatted until the sun rose from the east and the red light shone on our faces, then we went to the tent to catch up on some sleep.

Old Yi was snoring and was finally woken up by Teacher Sun.

He kept calling out to teachers in the camp who were sleeping too soundly.

Lao Yi rubbed his eyes and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Teacher Sun. You have been keeping watch for half the night."

Lao Yi's loud voice, heard through the tents, woke up the students who had just fallen asleep. "Let's go to the small white building in front of the campground and have breakfast before we leave. Two steamed buns and an egg per person. Go get your meal tickets from the class monitor."

Everyone went to the squad leader to get their meal tickets.

After they got on the bus, Lao Yi didn't let them go. He stood in the aisle and said, "You've had enough fun. Everyone, go home and study hard today. You have an exam on Wednesday!"

A cry of wailing.

Yu Shu arrived home at around ten o'clock, and the long-missed black Audi appeared at the door of the apartment building.

Lan Xing's father got out of the car, and Yu Shu greeted him a little stiffly.

He was obviously a little hesitant: "Xiaoyu?"

Yu Shu nodded, and he continued, "Uncle hasn't been home for a long time, thanks to Xiaoyu and my Lan Xing for playing together."

He picked up a high-end-looking packaging bag and wanted to give it to Yu Shu. Yu Shu first looked at Lan Xing and pouted.

He was looking into Uncle Lan's eyes with a cold expression, so Yu Shu took it herself.

She went upstairs, but Lan Xing got into a black Audi and left the community.

Her mother was at home, and she opened the door for her. As she took her schoolbag, she said to her, "You haven't been home for half a year. I don't know what his parents are doing every day, leaving a child here."

She saw it all clearly from the balcony. She was being wishful thinking and invited him to sit upstairs. She thought that Lan Xing's father was finally returning to the family, but she didn't expect that he just came to pick someone up.

“This brand is not cheap.”

"By the way, Xiaoyu, did you have fun this time? Lao Yi called me and said that you guys were fishing there all night long last night, and Mr. Sun, who was on guard, didn't dare to close his eyes the whole time."

She took out the things in Yu Shu's bag one by one: the sketchbook, the fountain pen, the remaining half bag of potato chips, and the shelled peanuts.

I bought a lot of goods from my classmates in bits and pieces.

Qin Wan pulled off a wet towel from the shelf and rubbed Yu Shu's face vigorously.

The scorching heat still lingered on the towel, and I closed my eyes comfortably.

Yu Shu responded to Qin Wan's words one by one.

"Your aunt is getting married on National Day. She said she'll come over next weekend to give you some clothes. You should go up on stage and help her get the flowers."

Qin Wan let down Yu Shu's messy hair and shaved it with her hands first.

"Your uncle-in-law is from Heilongjiang Province. His parents are going to drive over to attend the wedding."

Young people in Heilongjiang Province like to travel abroad, and those like my uncle-in-law who have a high level of education abroad tend to travel even further.

Yu Shu had heard her uncle's mother making a phone call at the banquet. Fortunately, he had found a wife to marry in China, otherwise the child would have to immigrate abroad alone like her other older sister.

Yu Shu liked her uncle's family very much. They were very nice people, so she nodded obediently.

My sister-in-law's wedding was neither traditional nor Western. There was no activities like making trouble for the bridesmaids or blocking the groom.

She and Yu Sheng were considered flower girls, giving flowers to the man and woman respectively before exchanging rings.

There weren't many guests. My uncle-in-law was an only child, so there were only his parents. Yuqin only invited brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.

Yu Shu thought that if she got married in the future, it would be nice to keep it simple.

On September 21st, Manke Magazine finally finalized a series of matters related to the additional issue.

Editor San San sent a formal letter regarding Yu Shu's additional chapters.

San San: I've already sent the supplementary contract to your home. It should arrive in two or three days. Remember to sign it and send it back to the capital... Three issues per month, four pages per issue, and the manuscript fee will be doubled...

Yu Shu calculated that the royalties were astonishing, even higher than her salary at her later job. You have to know that prices had risen two or three times at that time.

But perhaps it was because of the good times of the development of Manke that the royalties were so high. Yu Shu had seen comic authors share their income before, and it was not high.

Yu Shu calculated that after saving for a while, she would be able to buy professional drawing equipment and start serializing online comics.

It was in the past two years that online comic platforms began to emerge. If she wanted to become a big cartoonist, she certainly couldn't miss out on the traffic of early online media.

Tell Qin Wan and Yu Hua to help pay more attention to the letters from the imperial capital.

There are still two days left before the exam. Yu Shu has used all the time she has in the system to review this time, and she is determined to achieve a stunning success!

In Qin Wan's view, Xiaoyu immediately threw herself into studying after returning from the autumn outing, which made her feel distressed and proud.

I called Yu Hua and asked her to pick out two large bones and take them home to make soup for Xiaoyu.

The atmosphere in Yu Shu's home is harmonious and beautiful.

In the private room of the Hilton Hotel, it was eerily quiet.

A family of three sat in three different directions.

Lan Xing's mother's red hair was still dazzling, and her lips painted with bright lipstick were very charming, but the words she said made Lan Xing feel cold: "Your father and I have worked so hard to get the formalities done, you must go now!"

Lan Xing's father folded his hands, no longer the kind look he had just put on in the neighborhood.

"Isn't it great to go abroad? You know how many people are trying to escape illegally. You can go to school, work, get married, and have children. You're our only child, so why would we harm you?"

Lan Xing didn't want any of the benefits he mentioned.

Why, why, do they always treat him as a person without his own thoughts? Just because he was born by them, he can’t have human rights?!

His name is so ironic, happy children, only they themselves have ever been happy.

Lan Xing had a splitting headache. The couple was now discussing their plans for going abroad in unprecedented harmony.

Tears have already flowed in my heart.

Close your eyes weakly.

In his mind, he ran away from home one Christmas with his wallet and ID, and was cheated out of all his money by a pregnant Chinese woman before going to the airport.

Cold and hungry, he just wanted to get home.

Lan Xing didn't know if this was a precognitive dream... or was it him from a parallel world?

"We have no way out. The house has been sold for money. If you don't go with us, no one will take you in. Do you think your grandmother will want you? She doesn't like country people, and your uncle hates you even more."

Lan Xing's mother's words were blunt and cold.

Lan Xing's father's face was stiff.

But they seemed to have hearts of stone. Only the child was sad. His home was really going to be gone.
