Chapter 6 Elves

The two of them wandered around and finally stopped in front of a huge tree house. "The queen is already waiting for the guests inside. Just go in."

"Thank you, Elder." Arnold stepped forward and walked into the huge tree house.

The space inside the tree house is large, enough to accommodate thousands of people for a cocktail party. At the highest point of the tree house, there are chairs woven with vines. Several elves are already sitting on some of the vine chairs. At the highest point of the vine chairs, there is a special wooden throne, on which sits an extremely beautiful woman.

Seeing the woman, Arnold bowed gracefully and said, "Arnold Helen, the companion of the Star Clan, greets Her Majesty the Queen."

"No need to be polite. Since you have come from afar, please take a seat before we talk." With a wave of the Elf Queen's hand, a vine behind Arnold grew rapidly and weaved itself into a rattan chair.

"Thank you, Her Majesty, for your gift." Arnold bowed again before sitting down.

"I wonder what the guest wants to see me about?" The queen asked Arnold softly while stroking the badge with one hand.

"Your Majesty, here is a letter from my master, Green Xingchen, the current patriarch of the Xingchen clan. I think Your Majesty will understand after reading the letter."

As she spoke, she took out another letter from her pocket and handed it over. The queen waved her hand and the letter seemed to be held up by an invisible hand and flew all the way to the queen's hand.

The queen unfolded the letter and read its contents carefully. It seemed that she had encountered something very difficult and had to read it again.

"You must be very tired after coming to my Elf Forest. Please take a rest for two days. I will give you an answer in two days."

"Then I will wait for Her Majesty the Queen's reply." Then he went to rest with an elf.

"Elders, please read the letter before asking any questions!" The Elf Queen seemed to understand what would happen next and handed the letter directly to the nearest elder.

The letter once again returned to the Queen's hands. The Queen put the letter and the badge together, and then said softly: "The elders have read the letter. I wonder what you think of it."

"Queen, the Star Clan's affairs are no secret to our generation, but..."

The male elf elder sitting on the second rattan chair hesitated after speaking.

"Second Elder, don't hesitate to say whatever you want to say. After all, this is also a major matter concerning our Forest Elves."

"Queen, if it's just about finding the best magic teacher for the Star Clan, that's not a big deal. What I care about is the seal. If it goes wrong, the Star Clan may be annihilated."

“Second Elder is thinking too much. Since they sealed themselves off, we can say that they have severed ties with us. If they insist on unsealing their bloodline.

In the end, it is none of our business if the bloodline is cut off, and if they fail, we don't need to worry about being threatened by their clan with this badge."

"Seventh Elder, please be careful with your words. Without the kindness of the Star Clan back then, there would be no continued prosperity of our Forest Elves." Upon hearing this, the Queen promptly stopped the Seventh Elder from saying anything further.

"Please forgive me, Queen. I spoke out of turn! But what I said was actually the truth." The Seventh Elder added another blow.

"Your Majesty, why not ask the Great Elder?" The Second Elder thought it would be better to ask someone whose words carry weight to make the decision.

"I will go to the Great Elder in person tonight. Everyone, please go away!" The queen seemed to dislike such occasions.

In the tree house of the elves illuminated by the bright moonlight, the Elf Queen held an exquisite wine jug and knocked on the door of a remote tree house in the royal capital.

The person who opened the door was an old elf. After seeing the visitor, he smiled and said, "Thank you for the favor of the goddess of nature. It is my honor to have Her Majesty the Queen personally deliver wine to me."

"Great Elder, you are joking. I hope I didn't disturb your meditation." After entering the room, Her Majesty the Queen placed the wine jug on the table and took out the letters and badges one by one.

The great elder was not polite either. He picked up the wine jug and poured himself a glass of wine, drinking while reading the letter.

After reading the letter, the Great Elder did not rush to express his opinion, but asked the Queen.

"Your Majesty should have your own ideas, right? Why not tell me some of them so I can have some reference."

"Great Elder, since the turmoil more than 3,000 years ago, although we have not suffered any damage, the biggest loss has already been inevitable."

"That is because we have been isolated and alienated by the outside world. The human race is now the dominant race on the continent. Although we can defend the Elf Forest, it is actually a cage created for us by humans."

"Although not contacting the outside world has saved us from being disturbed, we have also lost the opportunity to contact the outside world. In the long run, this will be a disaster rather than a good thing for our elves."

"Hehehe... Celia, it is an honor for the forest elves to have you become the queen."

"Grand Elder, please don't make fun of me. I will always be a student in front of you."

"Since you, Queen, have already expressed your opinion, let me tell you mine!"

"It was because of the care that our Sen clan received from the Xingchen clan that we are now so prosperous. You just mentioned that there are many people who think the same way as the Seventh Elder."

"My opinion is similar to yours. Let's continue with our promise from that year, but I have a small suggestion."

"First, let's arrange for the magic teacher he needs. As for lifting the blood seal, we can delay it for a while. This will give them some time to calm down. If they still don't care by then, that's their own business."

"Great Elder, you have no objection?" Although I had expected this in my mind, I didn't expect it to be so smooth.

"This is all for the long-term benefit of the tribe. Why would I hinder you? Why not give it a try when there is such a good opportunity? Anyway, whether they succeed or fail, it is good for us, isn't it!"

"What about the selection issue?"

"Your Majesty, you came to me because you want me to be your teacher! After all, I think I'm good at teaching magic." The old man couldn't help but chuckled at the end.

"Thank you for your hard work, teacher." The queen bowed to the great elder.

Arnold was originally going to have to wait a few days for the results, but he didn't expect an elf to find him the next morning and say that Her Majesty the Queen wanted to see him.

When Arnold came to the tree house again, he was a little uneasy. Green had told him the contents of the letter before, and Arnold didn't know whether the elves would agree.

"Did the guests rest well last night?" It was the Elf Queen who changed the subject first.

"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. I really enjoy the food and wine of the elves."

"Does my Elf King know the contents of this visit?"

"The master let me read the letter, so I know what it contains."

"That's good. First of all, regarding the question of the magic teacher, I can make the decision and agree to it.

As for other matters, I have a letter here that you should pass on to the Star Clan leader. After he has read it, he can discuss this matter with the accompanying magic teacher."

"Thank you, Your Majesty. I wonder when we will leave!"

"Hehe... little guy, don't be anxious... No matter what, you have to wait for me to pack my things before I set off with you!" The Great Elder took over the topic.

"Let me introduce you to our great elder. He is not only the wisest elder among the elves, but also the best magic teacher among the elves."

"He will go back with you to Maple Leaf Territory to teach magic until the course is over." The queen strongly recommended him.

"It is such an honor to have the great elder teach the young master magic."

"Okay, go back and have some rest. We will set off early tomorrow morning. Before that, you have to tell me what kind of person my disciple is." The great elder bowed to the queen and pulled Arnold out of the tree house.

The next morning, the queen stood in front of a magic circle to see them off.

"Her Majesty the Queen will only be away for about ten years this time. Thank you for your care during this period."

"Great Elder, please rest assured. A dozen years is nothing to us elves. Please go early and come back early."

As the magic circle was activated, the figures of the two disappeared without a trace in an instant, and when they appeared again, they were already in an uninhabited valley in the kingdom.

Looking at the overgrown valley in front of him, the Great Elder couldn't help but feel fortunate: "Fortunately, this teleportation array has not been destroyed by anyone, otherwise it would take us a long time to travel."

"Arnold, right? Lead the way! Let's get back to Maple Leaf Territory as soon as possible."

It was near the end of August, and the rice in the rice fields had turned golden yellow. After plucking off a bunch of ears of rice and removing the husks, Lin Xingchen finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the plump rice grains. Neither the wheat in front of him nor the rice in front of him had any empty husks or shriveled parts, which meant a good harvest.

"Barry, arrange for some people to harvest the crops in two days. If we wait any longer, it will be troublesome if the weather changes."

"Don't worry, young master. I will organize the people now and will be there on time the day after tomorrow." After saying this, he hurriedly went to arrange people.

Along the way, there are crops that need to be harvested everywhere. Sugarcane, peanuts and other crops are the things that Lin Xingchen cares about most besides food. As for fruit trees, it takes at least two years for them to bear fruit.

So now these crops that show quick effects are Lin Xingchen’s trump card to gain the trust of the entire Maple Leaf Territory.

There is no language that can compare to the directness of being able to see, touch and eat something.

The harvesting team was divided into several areas, and Lin Xingchen taught these people step by step how to use sickles and threshing bins.

Although I didn't have many opportunities to take action this morning, my mouth was dry from talking.

Barry was infinitely more skillful in serving people than in managing his team.
