Chapter 69 Alien

Two people sitting face to face made the whole cage feel crowded. This was based on the thin appearance of the two guys inside. If they gained weight, the cage would probably not be able to fit them.

The simple young man from the grassland felt very sorry to see the scene before him. Looking at their cracked lips, he quickly handed over his water bag.

One of the taller ones snatched the water bag handed to him, opened his mouth wide and was about to drink. But just as he was about to pour the water into his mouth, he stopped and handed the water bag to the thinner one opposite him.

Danny couldn't help laughing when he saw the two of them making excuses to each other. Realizing that he had made a mistake, Danny quickly explained: "Can you understand me? If you can, don't make excuses. I just saw there's still a lot of water. I'll get it for you guys later. Just drink it up if you want!"

Danny went to the caravan's wooden barrels to fetch water and brought a full bucket of water to the two green-skinned guys.

Watching the two of them drinking water in big gulps, Danny went to two other carriages covered with black cloth. Fortunately, there were no green-skinned people inside, only two equally skinny wolves.

"Thank you for the water. My name is Fitz Tiger, this is my lover named Angiela, and the giant wolf you see in front of you is my mount." The tall green-skinned guy drank a lot of water and probably recovered a little. He spoke in a very standard common language.

"Haha... No need to thank me. If you want to thank someone, thank the spirit of the grassland! It was the spirit that used my hand to bring you water to quench your thirst." When Danny heard that it could actually speak, he immediately felt a lot more friendly.

Wandering alone on the grassland, if he hadn't been lucky, he would have been eaten by wolves. Otherwise, he would have been driven crazy by loneliness.

Now there is a person who can speak. Let’s assume that they are a human being. At least that’s how Danny defines it. As long as they can speak, they are basically human beings.

Danny now feels like a sow is competing with Diao Chan. No matter if the other person looks weird or not, at least she can keep him company and entertain him.

"Do you know where the key to unlock the lock is? I'll help you unlock it so you don't have to suffer in there." Danny was inexperienced after all. Most people would first think about whether they would hurt themselves if they were let out.

But it was this simple and honest character that made the two people inside like him even more.

"Look at the guy in white clothes on your left. He has the key." Fitz and An were overjoyed when they heard that the human outside the cage was going to let them out.

When we walked to the designated location, we saw that the guy in white clothes had died a miserable death. Half of his neck had been bitten off, and the white bones inside could be seen.

After turning him over, they found a bunch of keys, and quickly went to unlock the house for Fitz and the other man.

Fitz and Ann excitedly opened the shackles that locked their hands and feet, feeling a sense of joy at surviving a disaster.

Just as they were about to walk out of the cage, they found that their legs were numb and they could not feel anything. This feeling made them very scared, especially Fitz, who kept yelling.

"Don't be afraid, it's okay. Your leg joints are just a little stiff from not moving for a long time. It will be fine in a few days." Danny felt comforted as he looked at the two of them.

They naturally couldn't stay there for long with corpses all over the ground, so Danny planned to take them to a cleaner place to rest, and Fitz and the others agreed to this suggestion.

After Fitz and the other man rested for a while, they supported each other and walked out of the cage. They followed Danny to his base in a funny way.

The two horses tied to the stone immediately became furious when they saw two giant wolves following the people who came back with Danny.

As if realizing what had happened, Fitz calmed his and others' mounts. After Danny calmed the horses, he also took the demon wolf meat down.

Looking at the sizzling magic wolf meat being roasted by the fire, Fitz and Ann's stomachs began to growl.

Seeing that it was almost done, he signaled to the two that they could eat first.

Fitz grabbed the hot demon wolf meat, tore the huge piece of meat into two halves, handed a large piece to An, and the two of them began to chew it in big mouthfuls.

Looking at the two of them, Danny smiled and started to grill the few remaining wolf meats.

After this meal, Fitz and An finally came alive: "Hello my friend, thank you very much for your hospitality. I am an orc from the Tiger clan. What should I call you?"

Danny scratched his hair and replied with a silly smile: "You can just call me Danny. As for the hospitality, what kind of hospitality is this? Just don't complain about not having enough to eat. If this were in my tribe, I would definitely make sure you have enough to eat. Now I see that you two and your mounts are only half full."

"It's a shame not to feed your guests on the grassland. It's a pity that I didn't know you guys are so greedy, otherwise I would have brought back those wolf carcasses and roasted them for you to eat."

After that, the three of them sat around the fire and started chatting about all sorts of things. Ann was not good at speaking, so most of the time, it was Fitz and Danny who chatted.

But in An's eyes, there was a particularly awkward feeling. A young man from the human race actually got along so well with Fitz, and both of them had an ambitious vision for the future.

Perhaps it was this illusory dream that allowed two teenagers of different races to happily imagine their future together.

Early the next morning, the two men, whose legs and feet had recovered a little, followed Danny to clean up the battlefield. A night was not enough to damage the corpses, and naturally would not attract those annoying scavenger birds.

However, there are quite a few kinds of insects. The people of the grassland have long been accustomed to dealing with insects, and the two people born in the beast tribe are even less afraid of these little creatures.

The main purpose of the three people this time was drinking water. Although the horses pulling the cart were killed by wolves, Danny's two horses came in handy.

Fitz watched Danny searching the corpse, and couldn't help but frown when he saw how he was happy when he found some gold coins, and how frustrated he was when he didn't find any.

"Danny, why are you searching for those bastards' stuff? They are a hateful slave-catching group, and their stuff stinks." Fitz said angrily.

Danny didn't get angry because Fitz was angry with him. Instead, he smiled and showed Fitz what he found.

"You forgot that we talked about learning skills last night and then going back to teach those who bullied us a lesson. If you want to learn skills, you naturally need to make some contributions."

"I've heard that everything in Maple Leaf Territory is good. If you don't have gold coins, you won't be able to learn the best things."

"Look, I have found more than a hundred gold coins, enough for the three of us, two horses and two wolves to spend in Maple Leaf Territory."

"Danny, will the Maple Leaf Territory you mentioned really accept me? I heard from the slave-catching group that they want to sell Ann and me to a place not far from the Maple Leaf Territory."

"Don't worry! Fitz, I often hear people from the caravan say that Maple Leaf Territory is a place known as the City of Freedom. As long as you don't break the law, they will protect us."

"Once we learn the power to make ourselves stronger, I will come back to take my mother away." When Danny said this, his face was filled with longing for a better future again.

"Danny, I have enough trust in you, but I don't have a good impression of other humans." Although Fitz looks big and strong, he knows very well what he should understand.

"Okay, I know, but not everyone in this world is a bad person. I've heard that the Lord of Maple Leaf Territory is a very kind Lord. If he really doesn't accept us, we can go to another place.

I believe there must be something in this world that makes us stronger, what do you think, Fitz?"

"Of course my friend, although I also believe that there are more good people than bad people in this world, I will learn to trust those humans."

Things were easy after that. The three of them found their route again and set out towards their dream place again. Compared to the previous time when they were alone, Danny no longer felt lonely this time with the company of Fitz and Ann.

They wandered around the grassland for more than a month. Along the way, countless caravans looked at Danny, Fitz and Ann with strange eyes.

It’s not that there aren’t some people in the caravan who have bad intentions, but for Fitz and An who have recovered some strength, ordinary guards are no match for them.

In this way, the three of them reached their destination, the Maple Leaf Territory’s outpost, in the afterglow.

Looking at this combination, even someone like Colliver, who has traveled a lot, finds it a little confusing.

"I'm asking you, are these two beastmen really not your slaves? I have to tell you one thing, slaves are not allowed in our Maple Leaf Territory." Colliver asked Danny seriously. After all, in his opinion, it was obvious that the two beastmen were much stronger than him, a guy who claimed to be from the grassland.

"Brother, I have explained this many times. Fitz and Ann are really my friends, not slaves." Faced with such questions, Danny has explained helplessly countless times.

"Okay then! You three come here and I'll take you to go through the formalities! I also need to change shifts." When Colliver saw that the time was up, he said hello and led the three people away.

"Big brother, can I ask you where in Maple Leaf Territory can I learn powerful skills?" Feeling that the man in front of him was not a bad person, Danny quickly seized the opportunity to ask, and Fitz, who also cared about this matter, pricked up his ears and waited to listen.
