Chapter 71 Abnormal

The noise of the battle on the House in the distance naturally attracted the attention of the crew on the Harry. Unlike the worried expressions of the Harry's crew, Duarte and other crew members on the House were much calmer and seemed not worried about the battle situation in the distance.

It is obvious that after these two naval battles, Fang Lang has established a strong message for all the soldiers. This is why many troops have high combat effectiveness. Having a commander who can lead them to continuous victory has a very significant effect on improving the combat effectiveness of this unit.

The crew members on the Harry were rescued by Duarte from several compartments at the bottom of the ship. Except for the Harry's captain, Reinhardt, who was shot in the right leg, and the deputy captain who was killed as a warning to others, there were no other casualties.

The rescued people no longer had the pride of the British aristocracy; they all became dejected and looked dusty. It has a sense of being unable to recover.

Originally Duarte wanted to ask why the Harry was hijacked, but after thinking about it, he realized that his mission was only to rescue the crew of the Harry, and the officer did not ask him to investigate the reason.

However, before receiving Fang Lang's order, Duarte did not dare to take the initiative to let the Harry's crew take over the Harry directly. After all, it would be impossible for the Harry to continue fighting before the reason why it was hijacked was investigated.

The battle of the House was soon decided. Duarte saw the House winning again through the telescope, looked at the Harry's crew who were under centralized management, and felt an inexplicable sense of pride surge in his heart.

Duarte went to the bridge himself and connected to the communication of the House:

"House this is Harry, please reply."

...

...

"Harry, House, please go ahead."

"Boss, we have completed the rescue mission of the Harry's crew as planned. Please give us your instructions."

"Duarte, well done. Did we suffer any casualties?" Fang Lang was most concerned about whether his crew members had suffered any losses.

Hearing Fang Lang asking about his own casualties, Duarteton replied with a hint of shame:

"Report to the boss, two commandos were killed and four were injured."

Unexpectedly, there were no casualties in the naval battle during this escort mission, but two soldiers were killed in the attempt to rescue the Harry, and it is unknown whether the injured soldiers can recover their combat effectiveness.

However, Fang Lang was not too sad. Serving as a soldier, eating food and dying on the battlefield was the fate of the soldiers. There was nothing to be sad about.

"How is the Harry's crew doing?"

"Reporting to the boss, except for the deputy captain who was killed and the captain who was injured in the leg, all other members of the Harry's crew have been rescued from the bottom cabin."

"How many enemies are there?"

"Boss, we killed a total of thirty German sailors who hijacked the Harry."

Fang Lang was stunned when he heard Duarte's answer. Firstly, he didn't expect that the 350 crew members of the Harry would be hijacked by 30 Germans. He couldn't help but look at the combat effectiveness of the British Navy with new eyes.

Secondly, he did not expect that his commando team of 30 people could actually wipe out more than 30 German navy personnel. Although, two of our own people were killed and four were injured. But the Germans' combat effectiveness shouldn't be so poor.

In fact, there were many reasons why the commando was able to act so smoothly. First, the Germans discovered that there were only seven or eight people coming to rescue them, so they relaxed their vigilance and thought their plan had been successful.

The original plan was to lure everyone into the cabin and then take action to eliminate a few people. However, the so-called rescue by the commandos was fake from beginning to end. In this unintentional situation, the commandos took the initiative to act without entering the ambush circle, completely disrupting the enemy's deployment.

They approached stealthily, and the team members who suddenly appeared attacked the enemy from behind, completely throwing the enemy into chaos. The commandos had been serving on the same type of destroyer and were certainly more familiar with the terrain than the enemy who had just captured the ship.

Therefore, the commandos' victory was well deserved.

Hearing Fang Lang fall silent, Duarte had no choice but to speak up:

"Boss, what should we do with the Harry's crew? Should we hand over the Harry to them?"

Duarte's words made Fang Lang ponder again. He was considering whether he should ask directly for instructions from Lieutenant Colonel Beck, commander of the escort fleet. I have been worried that the enemy would use the Harry to eavesdrop on the communications between the House and the fleet, so I have not dared to report the situation of the Harry truthfully to the escort fleet commander.

However, after thinking about it, Fang Lang decided to find out the reason why the Harry was hijacked first.

"Duarte, arrange for two soldiers to transport the main officers of the Harry to the House by transport boat. I want to learn what happened from them first. Instruct the soldiers not to give them a chance to collude with others. I need to know the real situation. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Boss. I will arrange for soldiers to send the person over right away."

The House continued to carefully maneuver towards the Harry, and soon the lookout reported that a transport boat was approaching the House. Fang Lang picked up the telescope after hearing the announcement. With the help of the slightly white sky, Fang Lang saw a transport boat approaching the House quickly.

For some reason, Fang Lang felt that the Harry was very dangerous. His sixth sense once again issued a warning, which made Fang Lang very strange. Why does the Harry, which has been controlled by our side, still give us a sense of danger?

Fang Lang now believes in his intuition very much. Since his intuition tells him that the Harry is in danger, then the Harry must be in danger. He hurried back to the bridge and connected to the Harry's communication.

"Duarte, are you sure you have completely taken over the Harry?"

Duarte was confused when he heard Fang Lang's question. He quickly replied:

"Boss, yes, the crew of Harry is now under our control."

"Have you checked the headcount?"

"I have checked the roster and all personnel are here."

"Detain all crew members and conduct a thorough search of the entire ship. See if there are any enemies hiding."

Duarte never compromised on Fang Lang's orders. He would execute them whether he understood them or not. So without hesitation:

"Yes, boss, I'll do it right away."

Fang Lang raised the telescope again and looked at the Harry from afar, trying to see something unusual, but unfortunately he found nothing unusual. But the feeling of danger remains.

Soon, the soldiers came to report that the officers of the Harry had arrived, but Fang Lang had no time to pay attention, because as the House rotated clockwise around the Harry and approached the stern, Fang Lang's sense of danger became more and more obvious.

Fang Lang ordered without hesitation:

"Port twenty."

Although he didn't understand why Fang Lang wanted to turn, the driver still followed the instructions without hesitation and turned the boat.

As the House began to deviate from its original direction, the warning of danger weakened again. This made Fang Lang very confused and he didn't understand what the reason was.

What kind of secret is hidden in the Harry that makes him feel so dangerous?

Duarte's voice came over the radio again:

"Boss, we have checked all the cabins one by one and found nothing abnormal, nor any hidden enemies. Please give us instructions."

Fang Lang certainly believed what Duarte said, but this also made Fang Lang confused. Since there was nothing unusual on the ship, why would his sixth sense sound the alarm?

Fang Lang raised the telescope again and looked towards the Harry. He once again carefully observed the waters around the Harry and finally determined that his sense of danger still came from the Harry.

This puzzled him, but he couldn't ask the people around him. After all, people might not believe his intuition even if he told them.

So he simply stopped thinking about it. Since Reinhardt had been escorted to his ship, he could just ask him and find out! Why think so much?

"Duarte, be careful. There should be someone by the radio to report any abnormal situation at any time. Do you understand?"

"Yes, boss!"

He turned around and gave another order:

"We will detour to the left. All lookouts, radars, and sonars should pay attention to the situation of the Harry. If there is any abnormality, please make sure to notify me immediately."

"Yes, sir!"

Fang Lang still raised the telescope and observed the Harry for a while out of concern, then put it down reluctantly. He straightened his military uniform and walked towards the cabin where Reinhardt and others were imprisoned, hoping to find the reason for his uneasiness from Reinhardt and others.
