Chapter 91 Tired
Fang Lanxin took the handkerchief, wiped the sweat from her face, then got out of the car and went inside.
Dr. Huang had been waiting there for a long time. When he saw Fang Lanxin arrive, he hurriedly stepped forward and carefully examined her wound.
Fang Lanxin smiled slightly and said calmly, "It's nothing serious, just a minor scratch."
"You're saying you're fine after all this?" Dr. Huang looked at Fang Lanxin with some helplessness, then said, "Fortunately, it's just a superficial injury. She just needs to rest well and won't be able to get out of bed for at least a week."
"A week? Isn't that a bit much? I have to go on a business trip next week." Fang Lanxin looked at Dr. Huang with a wry smile.
The two had known each other for many years and were considered old friends, so Dr. Huang's attitude remained firm: "You can't get out of bed for a week, otherwise you can forget about getting your arm back."
After saying that, Dr. Huang packed up his medical kit and turned to leave.
Huo Qibang immediately came forward and looked at Fang Lanxin very seriously: "Mom, did you hear me? You can't move around like that."
"Dr. Huang is just exaggerating, don't listen to his nonsense." Fang Lanxin smiled, then pointed to her shoulder and said calmly, "It looks scary, but it's nothing serious. I'm going home now, you should go and do what you need to do."
Seeing Fang Lanxin like this, Huo Qibang knew that she definitely wouldn't be resting in bed properly. With no other choice, he could only instruct the people at the door to keep a close eye on Fang Lanxin and not let her go out no matter what!
"Mom, how are you feeling now? Are you hungry? Would you like the kitchen to make something nice?" Lin Meiling walked over with a smile. "Dr. Huang said I need to rest well, but he didn't say anything about what I should avoid eating. The food at the hospital wasn't very flavorful, so how about we make something more delicious tonight?"
"Anything is fine, you can arrange it as you see fit. I'm really a bit tired, I'll take a nap first." After saying that, Fang Lanxin got up and walked upstairs.
Watching Fang Lanxin's retreating figure, Lin Meiling felt a little smug, after all, Fang Lanxin hadn't been home to sleep for a long time.
Fang Lanxin had initially thought she wouldn't sleep well, but unexpectedly, she now felt at ease and slept soundly.
When Fang Lanxin woke up again, it was already dinner time. She felt refreshed after her nap, and even the dishes on the table looked particularly pleasing to the eye.
She now even feels that the air in the Huo family mansion is exceptionally fresh.
But unfortunately, there are always some uninvited guests who will ruin this hard-won beauty.
Huo Zhenhong entered carrying large and small bags, showing no sign of guilt, as if he had truly come to visit Fang Lanxin.
After he entered, he placed all these things on the table, smiled gently at Fang Lanxin, and asked with concern in his eyes, "Sister-in-law, are you alright? I heard you were injured?"
"Yeah, I got bitten by a mosquito, but luckily it's just a minor cut, nothing serious. After all these years, I'm used to it." Fang Lanxin seemed completely unconcerned. She smiled at Huo Zhenhong and then said, "Since you're here, why don't you have a bite?"
Huo Zhenhong had come to check on the situation, but he never expected Fang Lanxin to react this way. For a moment, he couldn't even tell whether Fang Lanxin knew about it or not.
He was still smiling as he walked over and sat down opposite Fang Lanxin.
Lin Meiling immediately reacted: "Someone, bring another set of bowls and chopsticks!"
The child has grown up quite a bit now. Fang Lanxin found it amusing to see her trying so hard to stay calm. She gently squeezed her hand and nodded to her, "The child is upstairs. Go and see the child."
"Okay, I'll go upstairs first." After saying that, Lin Meiling glanced at Huo Zhenhong and then turned to walk upstairs.
Now only the two of them were left at the table, and Huo Zhenhong didn't know why he was feeling a little nervous.
He took a deep breath, then forced himself to remain calm and asked, "Who exactly are they?"
"I don't know who it is either, but over the years, I've made so many enemies, anyone could be it." Fang Lanxin put down her chopsticks and looked at Huo Zhenhong with a half-smile: "You've always been very smart, so who do you think it could be?"
Huo Zhenhong originally came to inquire about the news, but he never expected that the problem would end up back on him.
Looking at Fang Lanxin's forced smile, Huo Zhenhong felt that she seemed to know what was going on, but he couldn't be sure how much she knew.
"How would I know?"
"Sister-in-law, what do you mean by that? Could it be me?"
Huo Zhenhong chuckled awkwardly twice, then looked at Fang Lanxin, secretly observing her expression.
Fang Lanxin raised an eyebrow, looked at Huo Zhenhong, smiled, and then said calmly, "I am indeed a little curious, would you make a move against me?"
"Of course not!" Huo Zhenhong retorted almost instinctively.
But Huo Zhenhong regretted saying that afterward.
He took a deep breath and looked at Fang Lanxin, knowing he could no longer hide it. He frowned and said, "Tell me, what do you want?"
“We’re all family, what can you do?” Fang Lanxin raised an eyebrow, looking at him directly. “Or rather, what do you want?”
Huo Zhenhong hadn't expected Fang Lanxin to react this way; he felt that something was off about her.
"Do you want a warehouse, a dock, or a ship?"
"Or do you want everything from the second wife's family?"
Fang Lanxin looked at Huo Zhenhong with some curiosity.
Faced with such a question, Huo Zhenhong was momentarily at a loss for words.
Do you have any evidence?
Huo Zhenhong is still making a last-ditch effort.
Upon hearing this, Fang Lanxin burst out laughing, then said calmly, "Between you and me, do we need evidence? Fourth brother, we all know what's going on. I can let this matter slide, but you should know what you're planning to do in the future, right?"
"Fang Lanxin!" Huo Zhenhong suddenly stood up, looking coldly at Fang Lanxin: "You think I'll be grateful to you for doing this, do you?"
"No." Fang Lanxin waved her hand: "Someone like you would never be grateful. I said I wouldn't pursue this matter. You can go back now and talk to me when you've thought it through."
