Chapter 15 Exciting!
Looking at the boy's swift figure, Fang Lanxin really felt like she had returned to her youth.
She had never seen such an amateurish and shameless competition in her previous life. Now, watching these teenagers recklessly speeding through the streets, she felt a faint sense of envy.
After all, someone of her status and position, someone like her, would probably never be able to act so recklessly and arrogantly on the streets in her entire life!
Fang Lanxin knew nothing about the competition rules; all she knew was that these people seemed to be reckless, especially Ling Ye.
Once this person stepped onto the field, he seemed like a completely different person. His rebellious and wild nature was like a medal bestowed upon him, making him shine brightly!
After the competition, Ling Ye took off his helmet and waved to Fang Lanxin in a carefree and flamboyant manner, showing off his good results.
Fang Lanxin got out of the car and clapped at him: "Your skills are good, you can participate in professional competitions."
"Pfft! Madam, me? A professional?" Ling Ye sneered, not at Fang Lanxin's detachment from worldly affairs, but at his own fate.
Fang Lanxin frowned slightly and looked at Ling Ye.
"Your motorcycle is really cool. May I take a ride on it?"
"You? Sit in this? You dare?"
Ling Ye looked at Fang Lanxin in disbelief. How could such a pampered rich lady be interested in such a low-class motorcycle?
Fang Lanxin ignored all that, simply took the helmet from his hand, put it on her head, and got on the back of Ling Ye's motorcycle.
She felt no psychological pressure whatsoever and simply reached out and wrapped her arms around Ling Ye's waist.
This guy doesn't look very fleshy, but surprisingly, he has firm muscles around his waist, which gives people a sense of security for no reason.
Ling Ye was stunned for a moment, then suddenly laughed out loud. He then looked at Fang Lanxin and said, "Hold me tight!"
At first, Fang Lanxin didn't understand what those three words meant. It wasn't until the biting wind blew across her face that she realized what they meant. She gripped Ling Ye's waist tightly with both hands and, under the cover of the helmet and the night, began to scream!
All the pent-up frustration from both his past and present lives was released in this moment.
The wind howled and carried away Fang Lanxin's absurdity. Finally, the motorcycle stopped by the river. Ling Ye took out two bottles of beer from the box on the back and tossed one to Fang Lanxin.
The two sat on chairs by the river, enjoying the cool breeze and drinking beer.
In both her past and present lives, Fang Lanxin had never experienced such a relaxed moment. She even cherished this moment of relaxation and wished it could last forever.
"I never imagined you actually liked motorcycles."
Ling Ye raised an eyebrow and looked at Fang Lanxin.
His eyes were bright and sparkling, brimming with the unique energy of youth, shining like stars in the moonlight.
Fang Lanxin smiled and said calmly, "I don't like motorcycles, I just like watching you ride one."
Upon hearing this, Ling Ye's originally carefree eyes were filled with shock. Then, his ears turned bright red, and he subconsciously turned his face away, drinking to hide his shock and embarrassment.
Fang Lanxin couldn't resist teasing him further, gently pinching his earlobe: "Why is it all red here?"
"I'll take you home." Ling Ye stood up as if he had been electrocuted, changed the subject, put down the empty bottle in his hand, pulled Fang Lanxin up, and they got on the motorcycle together.
Huo Fu stood at the door waiting for Fang Lanxin to return. The moment he saw her get off the motorcycle, his expression was as if he had seen a ghost!
"You little brat, are you crazy? How dare you bring your wife in this?"
"You...you're asking for it!"
Huo Fu hurried over and immediately began to berate Ling Ye.
"She's happy to do it!"
Ling Ye snorted, then tossed the Bentley keys to Huo Fu and strode inside, showing no intention of explaining anything.
He's always so unruly and it's a real headache.
But Fang Lanxin envied his rebelliousness and wildness!
"Madam, should we call a doctor to take a look? Is there anything wrong with you?" Huo Fu looked at Fang Lanxin anxiously, afraid that something might be wrong with her.
Fang Lanxin waved her hand dismissively: "It's exciting to do it once in a while."
After she finished speaking, she walked towards the Huo family mansion.
After marrying into the family, Fang Lanxin lived here all the time, and she even grew somewhat tired of it.
"Afu, tell the people downstairs to pack my things. I'm going to stay at the villa on the mountain for a few days," Fang Lanxin instructed after going upstairs.
Horford stood there, somewhat taken aback.
He never imagined that one day Fang Lanxin would want to move out of the Huo family mansion.
The next day, early morning.
At the dining table, Fang Lanxin elegantly ate the fried eggs on her plate while glancing at the financial newspaper.
Huo Qibang hesitated several times, wanting to speak but stopping himself, and found it even more difficult to speak when he saw Fang Lanxin's focused attention.
"You have something to say?"
Fang Lanxin's interest was finally shattered. She put down her coffee cup and looked coldly at Huo Qibang.
"I heard Uncle Fu say this morning, 'Mom, are you moving away?'"
In the end, Kenneth Fok asked the question that concerned him the most.
Company matters, family matters, and even Huo Siya's matters all have to take a backseat to this!
"Yes, I'm planning to go to the hillside villa and stay there for a while to recuperate."
Fang Lanxin didn't hide anything. She had handed over the company's affairs to Huo Qibang, and the family's affairs to Lin Meiling. She had even prepared Huo Siya's dowry. She had done everything she needed to do for the Huo family. Fang Lanxin just wanted to enjoy a few days of peace and quiet.
"Mother, what did I do wrong?"
Kenneth Fok stood up and, just like when he was a child, stood properly at the dining table.
This is almost an instinctive reaction of his. Whenever something happens at home, he immediately reflects on himself and wonders if he did something wrong.
Upon seeing this, Fang Lanxin's heart skipped a beat.
She now feels more and more that she was too strict with her child's education before, and that she had ruined her perfectly good child into this state.
"You did nothing wrong."
Fang Lanxin gave a conclusion first.
"I just want to go away and stay for a few days."
Fang Lanxin offered another explanation.
However, neither of these two statements carries any emotional weight; they seem to be talking about other people's affairs.
At this moment, Kenneth Fok finally realized that something was wrong!
His mother's tone and attitude when she spoke to him were completely different from before!
"Mom, is there something you're hiding from me?"
Kenneth Fok tentatively asked a question.
The main reason was that everything that had happened at home during this period was too unusual, and he had to find out the truth.
