Chapter 298 Trap

Chapter 298 Trap

Fang Lan thought about it and agreed.

"good."

Guan Jingshen immediately took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Ah Kun, take your men to Warehouse No. 3 at the Sai Wan Wharf and set up an ambush."

"Remember, don't get caught."

"Yes, Second Master."

After hanging up the phone, Guan Jingshen grasped Fang Lanxin's hand.

"Lanxin, you must be careful."

"I will."

At 9 p.m., Guan Jingshen had prepared 500 million yuan in cash.

It was packed in two large suitcases.

Fang Lanxin picked up her suitcase and prepared to leave the hospital.

She suddenly stopped when she reached the hospital entrance.

I glanced back in the direction of the ICU.

Ah Ye, you must take good care of yourself.

I'll come back to see you after I've dealt with this.

Fang Lanxin drove to the West Ring Pier.

The pier was quiet at night, with only the sound of waves lapping against the shore.

Several cargo ships were moored in the distance, their lights dim.

Fang Lanxin parked the car outside Warehouse No. 3 and got out with two suitcases.

The warehouse door was ajar.

She pushed open the door and went inside.

The warehouse was empty, with only a few dim light bulbs.

Some discarded goods were piled on the ground, and a musty smell permeated the air.

"I am coming."

Fang Lanxin's voice echoed in the warehouse.

A few seconds later, several people emerged from the shadows.

The leader was a bald man with a scar on his face.

He saw Fang Lanxin and grinned.

"Ms. Fang, you're on time."

Where is my son?

"Don't rush," the bald man said. "Let me see the money first."

Fang Lanxin put her suitcase on the ground and opened it.

It was full of bundles of banknotes.

The bald man walked over, picked up a bundle of banknotes, and examined them carefully.

After confirming that it was real money, he nodded in satisfaction.

"Yes, Ms. Fang is very trustworthy."

"Can you release them now?"

"certainly."

The bald man snapped his fingers.

Two men dragged a man out from deep within the warehouse.

It's Kenneth Fok.

His hands were tied behind his back and his mouth was taped shut.

There were several bruises on his face, indicating that he had been beaten.

Fang Lanxin's eyes immediately reddened when she saw her son.

"Qibang!"

She rushed over, trying to untie the ropes binding her son.

But the bald man suddenly stopped her.

"Ms. Fang, don't worry."

Fang Lanxin raised her head, her eyes cold.

"You want to back out?"

“It’s not that I’m backing out,” the bald man laughed. “It’s just that our boss would like to see you again.”

Who is your boss?

You'll see when you see it.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than footsteps echoed from deep within the warehouse.

A person emerged from the shadows.

Fang Lanxin was stunned when she saw the person's face clearly.

Huo Zhenhong.

"Fourth Uncle?!"

Huo Zhenhong stepped into the light, his face bearing his signature smile.

"Lanxin, it's been a long time."

Fang Lanxin's eyes grew even colder.

"It really was you."

"Yes, it's me," Huo Zhenhong said. "How about that, are you surprised?"

"You've already been kicked out of the Huo family, and you still won't give up?"

"Give up?" Huo Zhenhong's smile vanished. "Lanxin, you've ruined everything for me."

"I've built up the Huo family business for so many years, and it's all gone just because of one sentence from you."

How can you expect me to give up?

Fang Lanxin sneered.

"That's your own fault."

"When you targeted Tianle back then, didn't you ever imagine this day would come?"

Huo Zhenhong's face contorted.

"I've already apologized for what happened with Tianle!"

"What good is an apology?" Fang Lanxin said. "My grandson has been lying in the hospital for three years!"

Three years!

"You think a simple 'sorry' will suffice?"

Huo Zhenhong gritted his teeth and remained silent.

After a long while, he finally spoke.

"Lanxin, I didn't call you here today to argue with you."

"So what do you want to do?"

“I want back what I deserve,” Huo Zhenhong said. “The Huo family’s shares, and my status.”

You're dreaming.

"Really?" Huo Zhenhong laughed. "What about your son's life? You don't care?"

Fang Lanxin looked at Huo Qibang.

Kenneth Fok shook his head frantically, his eyes filled with anxiety.

Fang Lanxin took a deep breath.

"Fourth Uncle, what exactly do you want?"

“It’s very simple.” Huo Zhenhong took a document out of his pocket. “Sign this.”

Fang Lanxin took the document and opened it.

It is an equity transfer agreement.

She was asked to transfer all of her shares in the Huo family to Huo Zhenhong.

"You're crazy."

“I’m not crazy,” Huo Zhenhong said. “Lanxin, you have two choices now.”

"Either sign, or watch your son die in front of you."

Fang Lanxin's hand was trembling as she held the document.

Huo Zhenhong is trying to drive her to the brink of despair.

"Fourth Uncle, do you really think I'll sign?"

"You will," Huo Zhenhong said confidently. "Because you can't bear to part with your son."

"Your biggest weakness in this life is your child."

"You'd do anything for them."

Fang Lanxin looked at Huo Zhenhong and suddenly smiled.

"Fourth Uncle, you're right."

"I really can't bear to part with my son."

"But do you think I'll give in so easily?"

Huo Zhenhong frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is..."

Before Fang Lanxin could finish speaking, police sirens suddenly sounded outside the warehouse.

Huo Zhenhong's expression changed drastically.

"You called the police?!"

“Yes,” Fang Lanxin said. “Did you really think I would come alone?”

Huo Zhenhong was so angry that he gritted his teeth.

"You bitch!"

He rushed over, trying to grab Fang Lanxin.

But just then, the warehouse door was kicked open.

Guan Jingshen led a group of people and rushed in.

"stop!"

Huo Zhenhong was completely dumbfounded when he saw Guan Jingshen.

"Guan Jinshen?!"

"Huo Zhenhong, you're finished," Guan Jingshen said.

His men quickly subdued the bald man and the other kidnappers.

Guan Jingshen walked to Fang Lanxin's side.

Are you alright?

"I'm fine."

Guan Jingshen breathed a sigh of relief, then walked over to Huo Qibang and untied the ropes binding him.

After tearing the tape off his mouth, Kenneth Fok's first words were, "Mom!"

“I’m here.” Fang Lanxin walked over and hugged her son.

Kenneth Fok's eyes reddened.

"Mom, I'm sorry, I was too careless."

"It's good that you're alright."

The police arrived and arrested Huo Zhenhong and everyone else.

As Huo Zhenhong was being led away, he glanced back at Fang Lanxin.

His eyes were filled with hatred.

"Fang Lanxin, I will not let you get away with this!"

Fang Lanxin ignored him.

This person has no chance of turning things around.

After the police took everyone away, only Fang Lanxin, Guan Jingshen, and Huo Qibang remained in the warehouse.

Huo Qibang looked at his mother and Guan Jingshen.

"Mother, thank you, Lord Guan."

“Of course,” Guan Jingshen said. “You are Lanxin’s son, so you are my son.”

Kenneth Fok paused for a moment, then laughed.

"Master Guan, from now on I will call you Uncle Guan."

Guan Jingshen also smiled.

"good."

The three people walked out of the warehouse.

The night sky over the port city is dotted with stars.

Fang Lanxin looked at the sky and suddenly felt very tired.

So much happened that day.

Ling Ye is in a car accident, and Huo Qibang is kidnapped.

She felt she needed to get some rest.

Guan Jingshen supported her.

"Lanxin, I'll take you home."

"Um."

Kenneth Fok followed behind them.

Looking at his mother and Guan Jingshen, a smile appeared on his lips.
