Chapter 332 Qin Yanzheng: Are you dating someone?

Wang Ping said with a smile, "The reason I wanted to come to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine is partly because I wanted to continue working with you in the future, and partly because I had learned some TCM knowledge from my father."

My father originally hoped I would follow in his footsteps, but unfortunately, I was a disappointment. I studied under him for several years without making any progress, and eventually, he had to give up. Then, three years ago, my father passed away in an accident.

I was heartbroken, so I stopped touching anything related to traditional Chinese medicine and stopped mentioning to anyone that my father had been a traditional Chinese medicine doctor... To be honest, I disappointed my father quite a bit.

So I'm taking this opportunity to strive to become a good TCM nurse. I think my father would be very happy if he knew this in the afterlife.

Song Lan: "I imagine my uncle was once a very remarkable traditional Chinese medicine doctor."

Wang Ping: "I don't know how remarkable he was, but my father worked at the town's health center. People from the town and the surrounding villages would come to the health center for treatment, and everyone who saw my father praised his medical skills."

"Welcome to the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Let's make progress together in the future!"

Standing up, Song Lan extended her right hand to Wang Ping.

Wang Ping paused for a moment, then shook hands with Song Lan in a friendly manner and said, "Okay, let's make progress together!"

After the two sat down again, Song Lan said, "There aren't many patients in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department."

"I know."

Wang Ping said, "When there are patients, I will do my job to the best of my ability. When there are no patients, I can learn some traditional Chinese medicine knowledge from you and have more time to rest."

After chatting for a while, Wang Ping suddenly leaned closer to Song Lan and whispered, "Did Dr. Liang give you any trouble?"

Why ask that?

Song Lan's beautiful eyebrows were slightly raised.

"In our staff hospital, everyone knows that Dr. Liang has a bad temper and likes to flaunt her seniority in front of others, but she never thinks that in the TCM department alone, her seniority is far less than that of Dr. Wang."

Wang Ping had no good impression of Dr. Liang, feeling that he was a bad person, especially lacking in medical ethics.

"Don't say those things again."

Song Lan said in a light tone, "We are all colleagues, and besides, the other party is our senior, so we should show some respect."

"I was just whispering to you. Don't worry, I'm not stupid enough to give that person a chance to find fault with me."

As Wang Ping spoke, she noticed that Song Lan's attention wasn't on her, and she felt a little guilty. She said apologetically, "If you're busy, then keep going. I'll go chat with some other nurses in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department."

When she first arrived at the Traditional Chinese Medicine department, she needed to do more research so that she wouldn't be unable to help when things got busy.

Song Lan nodded, watching Wang Ping walk out of the consultation room, and then she went back to her own business.

As time went by, Song Lan saw three patients in the afternoon, but none of them had serious illnesses. After taking their pulses, Song Lan prescribed one or two doses of traditional Chinese medicine, and they were cured.

Liang Zhen only saw one patient all afternoon.

Dr. Wang saw five patients.

Upon learning that she had seen the fewest patients that afternoon, Liang Zhen was undoubtedly furious once again.

"Dr. Wang, why don't you talk to the hospital leaders about this? Our TCM department only gets a few patients a day, so why do we need to add another doctor? Besides, some of these people are clearly from a nursing background, so why should they be on equal footing with us?!"

Although Dr. Wang was a man, he was by no means dull-witted. He could easily tell that Liang Zhen wanted to use him as a pawn. He paused in his work of flipping through the medical records, and then said rather casually:

"Instead of wasting time talking to me, Dr. Liang would be better off improving her professional skills. As for your so-called equal treatment, I don't see any difference between you, me, and Dr. Song."

The fact that Dr. Song was assigned to the Traditional Chinese Medicine department by the hospital shows that the hospital is acting in accordance with the instructions of the higher-level health department, which is not something we can criticize.

Furthermore, as far as I know, Dr. Song's medical skills are quite good. There was a patient who had been treated by you, me, and Dr. Hu from the Western medicine department, and after we had seen him multiple times and conducted numerous tests without finding the cause of his illness…

The patient learned by chance that Dr. Song was a skilled doctor, so she went to see him with her family. As a result, Dr. Song not only found the cause of the patient's headache, but also cured her after three acupuncture treatments and two doses of herbal medicine.

This shows that we still have many shortcomings in terms of medical skills, while Dr. Song, although young, is truly skilled in medicine.

As the old saying goes, "There is no order of precedence in learning; those who are accomplished are teachers." Dr. Liang, please don't give Dr. Song so many opinions just because you entered the profession earlier.

"Dr. Wang, you..."

Liang Zhen never expected that she would come to Dr. Wang to form an alliance and intentionally use him as a pawn to kick Song Lan out of the Traditional Chinese Medicine department. However, not only did she fail to achieve her goal, she also received a lecture from Dr. Wang, which almost made her furious.

"If there's nothing else, Dr. Liang, you can go now. I'm busy right now and don't have time to chat with you any longer."

Dr. Wang was subtly trying to get rid of them.

Liang Zhen was so angry she almost vomited blood. She snorted, turned around, and stomped out of Dr. Wang's office in her shiny black mid-heeled shoes.

Song Lan was unaware that Liang Zhen was gossiping about her in front of Dr. Wang, and therefore unaware of how Dr. Wang had embarrassed Liang Zhen. She left work on time and continued doing what she was supposed to do, completely unaffected.

Time flies, and before you know it, it's the weekend.

Today, even though she didn't have to go to work, Song Lan got up early as usual and led Qin Boyan, Qin Yaxin, and the two little ones to exercise. By the time someone from the neighbor's house came out, Song Lan's family was already having breakfast.

"Sister-in-law, Zhou Shiwei next door seems to have ill intentions towards my second brother. Even though my second brother always ignores her, she acts like nothing's wrong. Whenever she sees my second brother, she takes the initiative to greet him and smiles at him like a flower. However, I think she's a man-eating flower!"
