Chapter 339 Take it easy

There are many people with the same name across the country, so Dr. Wang wasn't surprised that Song Lan knew the woman he had just treated, Han Bailan. However, seeing the obvious change in Song Lan's expression, he couldn't help but wonder, and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Upon hearing this, Song Lan snapped out of her reverie, shook her head, and her expression returned to normal. She said, "You're busy, so I won't bother you any longer."

Although judging from Han Bailan's gait, Song Lan was almost certain that she was pregnant, she still found herself inexplicably coming to Dr. Wang's office, thinking of asking Dr. Wang to confirm it for herself.

Unexpectedly, Han Bailan used her name to register for the doctor's appointment. To be honest, Song Lan was so angry she almost laughed.

So, I was momentarily stunned and forgot to confirm with Dr. Wang.

Once Dr. Wang's voice brought her back to her senses, Song Lan realized she had acted rashly!

As a physician, I believe that patients' privacy should not be disclosed casually.

But she almost made a mistake—she inquired about Han Bailan's medical situation from Dr. Wang.

This is really wrong!

The Han family.

Why are you back so soon?

Hearing a noise in the yard, Han's mother went out of the house and saw Han Bailan trying to open the cart. She was filled with doubt.

After all, there's still almost an hour before lunch break. Running home halfway through is blatant early departure and will result in a pay cut!

"I felt a little dizzy and took half a day off."

Han Bailan didn't go to see her mother; she seemed dazed and went back to her room.

"How about we go to the health center to get it checked out?"

Han's mother stood in the yard for a moment. Out of concern for her daughter, she quickly reacted and rushed to Han Bailan's room, her concern evident in her tone.

"Need not."

She wasn't dizzy at all; she just didn't know what to do.

"You don't have a fever, do you?"

Han's mother didn't leave. She stepped forward to check Han Bailan's forehead temperature, but unexpectedly, Han Bailan suddenly rolled over and rolled onto the inside of the bed. Her voice was unusually annoyed: "Aren't you annoying? If I have a fever, I don't need you to tell me. I'll go to the clinic or go home to get medicine!"

"I was just worried you'd get delirious from the fever, so I was thinking..."

To say that Han's mother wasn't angry about Han Bailan's attitude towards her would be a lie, but in a loving mother's heart, nothing is more important than her children's health.

Before Han's mother could finish speaking, Han Bailan impatiently interrupted her: "Can you leave? I just want to rest now, please don't bother me."

Han Bailan lay on the bed with her back to her mother, completely ignoring her mother's concern. Her behavior at this moment also showed a lack of respect for her mother.

Even so, Han's mother still didn't leave. She sighed and said, "I think you're not just dizzy, something's happened, right?"

"No, no! I only go to work and go home every day, it's a very simple routine, what could possibly happen to me?"

Turning over again, Han Bailan lay on her side facing her mother, her impatience almost overflowing: "Can you leave now? I really want to rest for a while, please stop bothering me, okay?"

“I’m your mother. If you really run into any trouble, tell me and I, as your mother, will try my best to help you.”

Han's mother felt that the matter was probably quite serious; otherwise, Han Bailan's current mental state would be inexplicable. But if Han Bailan didn't say anything, what could she do, no matter how anxious she was?

"Enough!"

Han Bailan sat up. She was both annoyed and had a headache, so she spoke without thinking: "You keep babbling on and on. Do you really think you're so capable?"

"Lanlan!"

Han's mother looked stunned. She knew that her daughter had been spoiled and willful, and would often throw tantrums at home. But this was the first time that the brat had ever yelled at her like this and said such hurtful things.

"What are you yelling for? Are you trying to summon my soul?! I'm so annoyed with you, please just leave! I'm begging you!"

Since her encounter with Zhao Jing two months ago, Han Bailan has not seen him again. Now, having been diagnosed with a pregnancy of over two months, she dares not imagine the consequences if she continues to be unable to see Zhao Jing.

To be honest, Han Bailan had been going to the vicinity of the Zhao family's old house almost every weekend for the past two months, hoping to run into Zhao Jing, but she couldn't even catch a glimpse of him.

They wanted to go to the county town to look for him, but they didn't know which unit Zhao Jing worked for, nor did they know where Zhao's family lived in the county town.

Faced with this situation, how could Han Bailan not panic?

She was afraid that if she kept delaying, her pregnancy would become too obvious to hide. On her way home from the doctor's appointment, she even considered terminating the pregnancy, but that would be a huge hassle.

First, you need a marriage certificate, and second, your husband must accompany you.

Unlike today when she goes to the doctor, she can simply give a fake name when registering and get away with it.

As for whether she would feel guilty for using Song Lan's name, Han Bailan had never thought about it.

She thought it was a small matter, and as long as she didn't say anything, who would know?

Furthermore, Song Lan is married, so it's perfectly normal for her to go to the hospital to check if she's pregnant. Therefore, Han Bailan feels even less guilty about using Song Lan's name!

"Fine, I'm leaving. Do whatever you want, I don't care anymore!"

Han's mother was speaking in anger, but she really had no other choice. She couldn't very well pry Han Bailan's mouth open, so she could only turn around and go about her own business.

As the footsteps outside faded into the distance, Han Bailan lay back on the bed, frantically pulling at her hair, repeatedly asking herself: What should I do? What should I do?

Removing the baby would require the husband's presence, which is clearly not an option; but if the baby isn't removed, is it possible to give birth?

She shook her head inwardly. Having a child out of wedlock? Not only would she be drowned in scorn, but her family would also be implicated and unable to leave the house.
