Chapter 366: When Young People Never Grow Old?

Feng Yuanyuan and her brother Feng Jianping sat on the edge of the kang (a heated brick bed), watching their parents bicker back and forth, and couldn't help but laugh from time to time.

"Young people never get old?"

Feng Xueyi replied to his wife, and then said with a normal expression, "We've made a good match this time. Yuanyuan probably won't suffer any grievances living with Xiao Song."

"Thinking about that bastard from the Zhao family again?"

"Mother Feng asked."

"Why would I want him?!"

Feng Xueyi's expression instantly turned sour. This wasn't directed at his mother, but rather at the "bastard" she had mentioned, which fueled his renewed dissatisfaction. He said:

"That brat isn't even fit to carry Xiao Song's shoes. Luckily, he caused the engagement to fall through, allowing our Yuanyuan to get rid of such a scoundrel."

Otherwise, if Yuanyuan marries him and then discovers his despicable nature, wouldn't she be disgusted to death?!

Even if the two eventually divorce, Yuanyuan will still be stigmatized as a divorcee.

Mother Feng: "You're right. If it weren't for that scoundrel causing all that trouble, our Yuanyuan wouldn't have met such a good young man as Xiao Song."

At this moment, Feng Yuanyuan said, "Dad, Mom, I have to go."

Feng's mother: "Have your dad take you to the station."

"Auntie, let me take it!"

Song Qingbin's voice rang out at the doorway. He then went inside, greeted Feng Xueyi and his wife, smiled at Feng Jianping, and turned his gaze back to the Feng Xueyi couple, saying:

"I happen to have nothing to do right now, so I'll take Yuanyuan to the station and wait for her bus to leave before I go."

"Then remember to come home and eat here as soon as you come in."

Mother Feng smiled as she looked at Song Qingbin; she was truly a mother-in-law who grew more and more satisfied with her son-in-law the more she looked at him.

"I'll go back to my dorm and exchange some coal with my colleagues. I'll just cook some noodles for dinner."

Song Qingbin declined.

"Just eat at my house, so you don't have to go through all that trouble."

Feng Yuanyuan tugged at Song Qingbin's sleeve and whispered something. Then she said to her parents, "I'm going to pack my things."

She went back to her room.

"Brother Song, what about National Day?"

Feng Jianping couldn't see Song Guoqing behind Song Qingbin, and couldn't help but feel puzzled.

Song Qingbin: "I went to school."

Why did he go to school?

Feng Jianping frowned: "Wouldn't it be great if you came to my house with me, slept in the same room with me tonight, and we went to school together tomorrow morning?"

Song Qingbin explained, "Guoqing and I took a ride with my brother-in-law to town. Guoqing was still in the car when I got off."

"Your brother-in-law has a car?"

Mrs. Feng looked surprised.

"It was my brother-in-law's workplace that provided him with it."

Song Qingbin's words were concise and to the point.

"I'm all better now, let's go."

Feng Yuanyuan's voice came from behind Song Qingbin. She returned to Feng Xueyi and his wife's room: "Dad, Mom, it's getting late. I'm going to the station to catch the train now. Please take care of yourselves."
