Chapter 315

Back at the store, Qin Rong asked Qin Dashan about his condition in the hospital.

Qin Rong was angry when she heard from Li Yunshu that Qin Dashan was beyond cure and could only wait to die in the hospital. She was so scared of him that she cursed Qin Ye for treating him.

"What right does he have to curse people? He should also think about how he is as a father. Has he fulfilled his responsibilities as a father?"

"Even if he can be cured, it's right for him to be cured."

"He's such a scoundrel. If he dies, it'll be one less nuisance."

Huang Qiuyan nodded in agreement. After listening to Aunt Qin's description of Brother Xiaoye's family situation, she realized that Xiaoye and she shared the same fate. They both had the same alcoholic father.

It's just that her family's situation is more tragic than that of the Nono family.

Ye Ge's mother ran away and abandoned her.

And her mother, in order to protect them, killed her father and then committed suicide.

But she actually hoped that her mother would run away like 께野哥놅's mother, so that her mother could at least still be alive.

At dawn, Qin Ye, who was lying on the accompanying bed, seemed to sense something and suddenly opened his eyes.

He rubbed his eyes and looked towards the bed, only to see his father looking at him sideways.

Qin Dashan's originally yellow face turned blue and white at this moment. He stared at Qin Ye so straightly, which looked a little scary.

The light in the ward was a little dim, so Qin Ye turned on the light in the ward.

When he turned on the light, Qin Dashan looked at him straight.

"Dad." Qin Ye called out.

"Youye..." Qin Dashan said weakly, "Sorry, Dad was wrong."

Qin Ye clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and his shoulders trembled slightly.

His voice trembled with anger. "Sorry, who cares if you apologize?"

"Why do you realize your mistake only now? What were you doing before?"

"Why did you know you were wrong so early?"

"What's the point of knowing you were wrong now?"

Facing Qin Ye's questioning, Qin Dashan did not respond, but slowly closed his eyelids.

"Answer me?" Qin Ye growled in a suppressed voice.

But the person on the bed could no longer respond to him.

Qin Dashan is dead.

The hospital called the funeral home. Qin Ye stood in the morgue and watched the people in the funeral home wipe Qin Dashan's body and change his shroud.

It was finally confirmed that Qin Dashan was really dead.

From now on, no one would scold him when he was drunk, no one would steal his hard-earned rent to buy alcohol, and no one would cause trouble in the store and threaten him to spend money to buy alcohol every day.

He is finally no longer a burden!

He had never hoped that the drunkard would die before, but now that the drunkard was dead, he felt relieved. But why didn't he feel relieved after his death?

Instead, I felt confused and suddenly very tired.

"Do you have other relatives?" The funeral home staff looked at Qin Ye and asked.

Qin Ye shook his head, "No, I'm alone."

The staff member looked at him with pity and asked, "Are we going to hold a memorial service for the deceased?"

Qin Ye was stunned for a moment, then shook his head, "It's useless. Someone will come even if it's done."

His grandparents had only one son with his father, but they died in accidents one after another after his father got married.

Perhaps his father still had relatives in this city, but they had long lost contact.

Although Aunt Li said that if his father died, he should call her immediately to tell her.

But he didn't want to trouble Aunt Li, so he didn't go, wanting to handle his father's funeral alone.

The staff nodded and said, "Okay, now that you're dressed, come with us in the car."

Qin Ye followed the funeral home car to the funeral ground and watched his father being pushed into the incinerator and turned into a handful of ashes.

Then he put it into the urn he bought for two dollars.

Across the burial ground was a cemetery. Qin Ye spent fifty yuan to buy a plot of land for a burial. He watched the cemetery staff dig a hole, fill it with soil, and erect a tombstone.

I also watched Qin Dashan become a grave.

After doing all this, it was already six o'clock in the afternoon, and Qin Ye returned to Courtyard No. 20.

"Qin Ye, how is your father?" Aunt Yuan looked at Qin Ye and asked.

Qin Ye didn't even look at her, he just said softly: "Dead."

Aunt Yuan was stunned for a moment, and when she came to her senses, Qin Ye had already entered the house.

"Qin Dashan is dead, Qin Dashan is dead!" Aunt Yuan said excitedly to Cui Juan who had just walked out of the house.

Cui Juan: "Dead?"

Aunt Yuan nodded. "He's dead. Qin Ye said so himself."

Aunt Yuan glanced at the next door, walked over to Cui Juan, and said in a low voice, "I see Qin Ye, he doesn't seem sad at all."

Cui Juan frowned and said, "It's good that that drunkard Qin Dashan is dead. With his death, Qin Ye will have one less burden. Why should he be sad?"

If it were her, she would also be sad, and it would be wrong to set off firecrackers to celebrate.

Aunt Yuan curled her lips and said, "Qin Dashan is his biological father after all. How can he be so sad when his biological father dies? Qin Ye is too stubborn."

Even if Qin Dashan was right, he should still be sad that his biological father was dead.

After all, there are no parents here.

Qin Ye returned home and used a woven bag to clean out all of Qin Dashan's things from the house.

Once his things were cleared away, the whole house seemed much bigger.

After cleaning up the things, Qin Ye carried the woven bag and went out.

By the time Qin Ye reached the river, it had already darkened.

He poured the things out of the woven bag, lit a handful of cigarettes, watched them burn to embers, and then went out before leaving the river.

Li Yunshu and Qin Rong heard from Chunbao that Qin Dashan had died.

Knowing that Qin Ye had cleared out all of Qin Dashan's belongings, the two knew that Qin Ye had taken care of Qin Dashan's funeral affairs all by himself.

"This kid, I told him that Qin Dashan is dead. He called me and he was dead." Li Yunshu sighed.

Qin Rong said, "Ji Ye is such a sensible kid. He wants to trouble everyone. It's heartbreaking to think that he, a child, had to deal with his father's funeral all by himself."

Li Yunshu was also distressed and said to Qin Rong, "I'll make some bone porridge later. You can take it back to Xiaoye after work. I'm afraid he hasn't even had a meal after taking care of Qin Dashan's funeral."

"Okay." Qin Rong nodded.

Qin Ye returned home from the river, lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

"Boom boom boom, 께ye."

"Boom boom boom, 께ye."

Not long after he fell asleep, he was awakened by a knock on the door.

He turned on the light, got out of bed, walked to the door, unbolted it and opened it.

"Aunt Qin."

"Qin Ye, are you okay?" Qin Rong asked Qin Ye with an expressionless face.

Qin Ye nodded, "I'm fine."

Qin Rong: "You are the same kid. Why didn't you call me and your Aunt Li? You went and did those things by yourself."

Qin Ye pursed his lips and said nothing.

Qin Rong handed him the lunch box from her room. "You've been busy all day, so you probably haven't eaten yet. This is the pork rib porridge your Aunt Li made for you. It's still hot."
