Chapter 3 Pen Washer
After hearing what Du Ruo said, Han's father and mother's hearts suddenly jumped. Could it be that she knew something?
Du Ruo saw Han's father and mother looking at each other with guilty looks and sneered in her heart. Han Ming was not missing at all. He sneaked into Hong Kong City and married the daughter of a wealthy family. Now they are in love with each other.
Father Han coughed lightly and said to Du Ruo, "Second brother, if you are worried about us taking care of your child, you can find someone else to take care of the child. I won't stop you. You can handle it yourself."
After he finished speaking, he dragged Han's mother into the house. Liu Mei looked at Du Ruo and sneered in her heart. What's the point of looking like a vixen? Wasn't she thrown away by her own man?
She turned around and went back to the house, not wanting to bother with the little goblin.
Du Ruo led her son into the house. Seeing that Han Zhe kept his head down, she held her son in her arms and said softly, "What your father is like has nothing to do with us. You are your mother's son. With your mother around, no one will bully you."
Han Zhe raised his little face and looked at his mother. He said worriedly, "I'm afraid you will get sick."
Du Ruo paused for a moment. She had been working overtime for the past few days and was indeed very tired. She said, "Don't worry, you can take medicine if you are sick. After we have lunch, mom will go buy medicine, okay?"
Whether it was needed or not, Du Ruo decided to buy some medicine and keep it at home. She absolutely could not let her son go out to buy medicine for her again.
Han Zhe's eyes lit up. He knew that if you are sick, you just need to take medicine. If you have medicine at home, you don't have to worry.
He nodded desperately and said, "I will stay at home and not go anywhere. Mom, can you go buy some medicine?"
Du Ruo touched his little face and said, "Look how dirty you are. Mommy will wash your hands and face first, and then we'll make some instant noodles. After you're full, Mommy will go buy medicine."
Du Ruo washed Han Zhe, changed his clothes, went to the kitchen to clean the electric wok, and prepared to cook noodles.
Looking at the electric wok, Du Ruo fell into deep thought.
This electric frying pan is a rare item. It was a new product a few years ago and is only now becoming widely used.
It was brought back by Han Ming when Du Ruo was pregnant with Han Zhe. Han Ming was afraid that she would be hungry at night, so he used it as a small stove for her.
Han Ming was a man of few words. He seldom joked with others outside, but he was very gentle to her at home.
However, no matter how intoxicating the gentleness is, it cannot compare to a man's strong ambition.
Du Ruo put the instant noodles into the pot. Xiaozhe raised his little face and stared at the pot without blinking, which made Du Ruo smile.
She touched her son's head, feeling a little sad. Even if she made more money in the future, it would be useless as her son would always remain at the age where he couldn't even afford instant noodles.
The mother and son ate a hearty meal of hot noodles. Xiaozhe was smiling happily, but he still did not forget to buy medicine.
Xiaozhe pulled his mother's collar and said, "Mom, go buy some medicine. I'll wait for you at home."
Du Ruo looked at her son's worried eyes, stood up and said, "Mom is going to buy medicine, you stay in the house and mark the door and wait for Mom to come back."
Han Zhe nodded seriously and urged his mother to go quickly.
When Du Ruo opened the door, she saw Liu Mei leaning against the door of the opposite room eating melon seeds. When she saw Du Ruo, she gave a contemptuous smile.
She said loudly: "Some people look like little vixens and coquettish girls. In ancient times, this was called "beauty brings disaster". If a man marries such a woman, he will be in trouble. If he marries another wife, she will leave immediately. It's all the fault of the women in the family."
Du Ruo looked her up and down. She had droopy eyebrows, dead fish eyes, and her lips were painted red, which had turned dark red from eating melon seeds. She looked very funny.
She said: "I don't quite understand what you are saying, sister-in-law, how about you explain it to me in detail now?
Besides, I don’t know if men are unlucky or not, but I think some men wake up several times in the middle of the night with fear, and their lives are not easy either.”
Du Ruo turned and left. Liu Mei threw the melon seeds on the ground, pinched her waist angrily and said, "Come back here! Who are you talking about? Come back!"
Du Ruo ignored her and walked out.
Liu Mei was furious, and then she heard Han's mother say, "Old lady, what are you talking about all day? You ignore my words, don't you?"
Liu Mei suddenly felt guilty. She had recently heard about Han Ming's affairs from her husband Han Yan. Her mother-in-law had repeatedly warned her not to talk nonsense. She got angry when she looked at Du Ruo and couldn't help herself.
Now hearing her mother-in-law questioning her, Liu Mei whispered, "Mom, I know." She lowered her head and slipped into their room.
Father Han said, "We just contacted the second son last week, and we must not let anyone in his family know about this.
If there is a commotion and word gets out to that person, the second brother's future will be over. We have to wait until he has established himself on his feet."
Han's mother said, "Or else we can go to the second son's house and force her to divorce and get out."
Han's father said, "That won't work. Xiaozhe is also involved. If the quarrel breaks out, the second child will not be in the right. Let's just drag it out."
Didn't the second brother say that he would come to pick us up in a while? Then, we can sell the house and sneak away so that she can't find us, and then this matter will be over, right? "
Mother Han nodded and said, "That's it."
Du Ruo walked across the street and went to the state-owned drug store on the corner.
There were no good antipyretic drugs available at the moment, so I bought a box of Antongding and a few painkillers, and asked for two small bottles of oral penicillin.
Du Ruo was carrying the things on her way home. When she passed by the entrance of an alley, she saw an old couple arguing with each other.
The old lady said, "The grandson didn't do it on purpose. He just took it out to play with it for a while, and your thing broke on its own. Who are you trying to fool?"
The old man was so angry that his face turned red. "I put this thing in my study. It was in good condition for decades. But it broke when he took it out. If I don't look for him, who should I look for?"
The old lady also knew how to justify her mistakes. She said, "He is our own grandson. What do you think we should do if we harm him? Can we kill him?"
The old man was so angry that his hands were shaking. The old lady was afraid that he would get sick from anger, so she coaxed him, saying, "It's just a branch that fell off. Go to the jade market tomorrow and find a master to fix it for you. It's the same thing."
The old man said, "Is it that easy to find? There is only one technician in our jade factory. I have seen his skills before, and he is simply unable to repair something this delicate."
The old lady was at a loss. She asked, "What do you think we should do?"
Du Ruo said: "The damaged area is not large, it should not be difficult to repair."
The old man was amused by her. He said, "You little girl, what do you know? It's not difficult to fix it. Do you know what this is?"
Du Ruo said: "This is a jade fairy peach-shaped washbasin, which was placed in the study room in ancient times to wash pens.
What is rare is that the thickness of the jade base is uniform, the green floating flowers in some parts are rich and even, and the peach branches at the bottom are exquisitely carved. It is indeed a rare treasure. "
