Chapter 110 Really?

After the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Ministry learned about this matter, it specially obtained a copy from the medical school and invited experts and professors from hospitals and schools across the country to discuss it.

The feedback has been mostly positive, but since the first batch of cases consisted of simple ones, we'll have to wait and see what happens next.

Because of this, the leaders of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department even made a special trip to the hospital, hoping that Li Chu would dedicate himself to organizing this content from now on.

Before Li Chu could even refuse, the hospital and the health bureau rejected the suggestion from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department on his behalf.

Later, Li Chu heard from his Uncle Lin that the lawsuit had reached the top leader of the ministry, but in the end, the top leader decided to maintain the status quo.

These messages also excited Li Chu, because after all, he hadn't done anything in vain and had gained the support of some people.

There weren't many patients today, which gave Li Chu plenty of time to write. He finally finished his second book before leaving get off work in the afternoon. Without delay, he handed it directly to Director Liang.

On my way home, I heard the occasional sound of firecrackers, and saw people queuing up in front of the grain store, each with a happy smile on their face.

The Lunar New Year is approaching. Although supplies are still relatively scarce this year, at least we can eat some things that we don't usually get to eat, which is something to be happy about.

The staff at the grain store have been extremely busy lately, having to stay an hour late every day to meet the needs of the staff.

When Li Chu got home and opened the door, Xiao Hei ran out. Li Chu didn't care about it; he would come back with Ding Qiunan later.

The neighbors all know his dog. Every day around this time after get off work, they can see it squatting at the entrance of the alley, waiting for its owner to come home so it can go home with her.

Li Chu turned on the boiler as soon as he entered the room. He had to fiddle with the boiler several times a day; it was quite a hassle.

After setting up the boiler, I went into the kitchen to wash the rice and steam it. Then I chopped some cured meat to stir-fry with the cabbage, and also fried an egg. Two dishes would be enough for them.

After dinner, Ding Qiunan washed the dishes. When she returned from cleaning up the kitchen, she found Li Chu still sitting in the living room listening to the radio. She asked, "Li Chu, why aren't you writing your things?"

The girl found it a bit strange. Usually, after meals, Li Chu would go into the study unless he went out for a walk. Why didn't he go in today?

"I've finished writing the second book. I plan to take a day off before starting again. Writing every day is making my brain a bit tired." Li Chu leaned back on the sofa with his eyes closed, his feet propped up on the coffee table, while the radio played the news.

The girl didn't bother him anymore. Instead, she picked up the shoes they had worn that day and went to the bathroom to scrub off the mud that had stuck to them. Then she washed the clothes they had changed out of over the past two days. Now that they had a boiler at home, they had hot water all day long, and their hands weren't cold in the winter.

After finishing her housework, she went to her study to continue studying the medicines. Ding Qiunan is now very diligent, and she has memorized most of the common medicines available at home.

Li Chu leaned back on the sofa and heard the girl walk into the study. He opened his eyes, ready to go in and see how well his wife had been remembering things lately.

Before I could even stand up from the sofa, I saw Ding Qiunan running out of the study, covering her mouth, and heading straight into the bathroom. Immediately afterward, I heard a sound of dry heaving.

Without even bothering to put on his shoes, Li Chu ran over barefoot and hurriedly patted the girl's back while filling a cup with water using his other hand.

She gagged a few times but couldn't vomit anything. The girl looked up, tears welling up in her eyes, her face scrunched up.

lingdian.

Li Chu held the jar to the girl's lips, letting her rinse her mouth. Then he picked her up and sat her on the sofa.

"What's wrong, honey? Is your stomach upset?"

Ding Qiunan leaned against him and shook her head listlessly: "I don't feel uncomfortable anywhere. I was just here, and suddenly I felt like throwing up."

"Come, sit down, let me take your pulse." Li Chu straightened the girl in his arms, made her place her right hand, and began to take her pulse.

Li Chu quickly lowered his hand, looked at the girl with a surprised expression, a half-smile on his face.

The girl found his gaze a little strange: "What's wrong, Li Chu? What's with that expression?"

"Qiu...Qiu Nan, it seems you're going to be a mother." Li Chu was a little excited, and her words even stuttered a bit.

"What did you say?" The girl sat up straight instantly, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Don't rush, don't rush, let me calm down and take her pulse again." Li Chu put the girl on the sofa, stood up, put on his slippers, and stood barefoot on the ground. He took a few deep breaths to calm his excited mood.

"Come, wife, let's sit down in the study. I'll take your pulse again." After saying that, he walked barefoot into the study.

Ding Qiunan was also excited by what Li Chu had just said, and hurriedly followed him into the study.

After the two sat down, Li Chu took out a pulse pillow from the drawer of his desk, placed it under the girl's wrist, took a few deep breaths, and then closed his eyes to take her pulse again.

Li Chu took a very long time to take the pulse this time, the longest he had ever done since he started working, a full five minutes.

Finally, he opened his eyes, withdrew his hand, and looked at the girl with a happy smile on his face, saying, "Congratulations, wife, you're really going to be a mother."

Ding Qiunan stared intently at Li Chu, tears streaming down her face.

They've been married for almost a year and a half, and there's still no sign of children. You can imagine the pressure the woman is under. Although her husband has never said anything, he has always comforted her and even told her that it's okay if they don't have children.

The girl could tell that Li Chu meant what he said. But while he could think that way, she felt she couldn't.

Married for over a year, her husband had always pampered her like a princess, which made her even more eager to have a child with Li Chu. Now that her wish had finally come true, the young woman didn't know how to express her current feelings.

Seeing Ding Qiunan's tears, Li Chu understood why she was crying. He knelt down in front of her with heartache, cupped her face in his hands, and wiped away her tears: "Don't cry, wife. Shouldn't you be happy to have a baby?"

The girl pouted and looked at Li Chu with teary eyes. She sniffed and nodded, "Yes, I won't cry anymore. I don't know why, but I couldn't control my tears."

"Come on, let's sit in the living room." With that, Li Chu stood up, pulled the girl up as well, and led her by the hand out of the study.

Little Black seemed to sense its owner's feelings, following her leg the whole time with its big tail wagging. After the girl sat down, it kept rubbing its head against her leg until she reached out and touched its head. Only then did Little Black obediently lie down beside her leg, occasionally looking up at her.

Li Chu also noticed Xiao Hei's actions, and it seems he will have to bathe Xiao Hei more often from now on.

He never understood why Xiao Hei seemed to prefer Ding Qiunan. That day, the young couple were joking around; he pulled the girl onto his lap and patted her twice, and Xiao Hei immediately barked and showed his teeth at him.

The girl was so happy she couldn't stand up straight, but Li Chu was furious; he even wanted to kill it and eat it in a hot pot. He was definitely a lecherous dog.
