Chapter 235 Recovery

Back home, Ding Qiunan curled up on the sofa, not wanting to move at all.

Li Chu put a kettle of water on the stove, then came to the living room and sat on the sofa, embracing Ding Qiunan.

"Qiu Nan, the matter is completely over, so you don't need to worry anymore."

Ding Qiunan nodded in his arms, not continuing the conversation, but instead asked, "When you left just now, Uncle Liu said he'd bring you some documents tomorrow?"

"Oh, is that so..."

Li Chu explained the matter of getting the documents to his wife.

Ding Qiunan sat up straight in Li Chu's arms: "There's one for me too?"

"Yes, when I came back to pick up the photos this afternoon, I took yours too. Since we're going to do it, let's get yours done as well. I'll try to find you a gun later and find a place to teach you how to shoot."

Li Chu thought about that chaotic era to come, and he figured that if his wife had that thing on her, he would feel much more at ease.

"May I?"

"That's not hard to learn, it's very simple." With that, Li Chu picked her up and stood up, walked to the clothes rack by the door, and took out the gun that Director Chen had left for him from his satchel.

He sat down on the sofa again, first unloaded all the bullets from the gun, and only after confirming that there were no bullets left did he take the gun and start teaching Ding Qiunan how to use it.

Ding Qiunan was clearly interested in this and listened attentively. Before long, she was able to disassemble and assemble the gun herself. Although it was slow, at least there were no extra parts, and she was able to disassemble and assemble it smoothly.

Seeing the smile on Ding Qiunan's face, Li Chu finally felt relieved. It was good that she could get out of the shadow of today's day.

Ding Qiunan was like a child who had just gotten his favorite toy, sitting cross-legged on the sofa and constantly taking apart and reassembling the gun.

After assembling it, he picked it up and gestured around, making "biubiu" sounds from time to time.

Li Chu stood up and went to the kitchen, poured the boiled water into the thermos, and then turned on the boiler to boil water.

Turning around, I saw three dogs sitting neatly under the eaves, looking at me pitifully. Only then did I realize that I hadn't fed them all day.

I hurried to the kitchen to cook some noodles for them and mix in a can of meat.

After thinking for a moment, Li Chu asked loudly, "Qiu Nan, what else do you want to eat?"

Hearing her husband's voice, Ding Qiunan slipped on her slippers and ran over: "Are you hungry? What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you."

"I'm not eating. I forgot about those three guys. I'm going to make them some noodles. Do you want some? I'll give you some too."

"Deceiving Emperor Kangxi"

Ding Qiunan then realized she hadn't fed the dogs, so she went outside the kitchen and patted each of their heads.

"I won't eat either, you can get it for them." She didn't go into the living room, but squatted down to play with the three dogs. These three guys were the heroes of the house, helping them a lot.

Li Chu cooked a huge pot of noodles. This was only possible at his house; other people couldn't afford to feed three dogs, who ate more than an adult.

After feeding the dog, the boiler was almost full of hot water. The two of them took a shower and lay in bed when Ding Qiunan suddenly sat up and shook her husband: "Li Chu, where's the baby?"

"What are you thinking? Didn't Mom and Dad take the child to live with them?"

Ding Qiunan looked around blankly: "Yeah, what's wrong with me?"

After saying that, she lay down again, and Li Chu held her tightly in his arms: "Don't think too much, darling, go to sleep, you'll feel better after a good night's sleep."

"Mmm," Ding Qiunan nodded with her eyes closed.

Li Chu knew that what happened during the day had a huge impact on his wife. She seemed normal on the surface, but her mind was probably a complete mess.

He said softly, "Honey, I'm going to get something."

Ding Qiunan opened her eyes and looked at him: "Where are we going to get the things?"

His heart skipped a beat at his wife's pitiful appearance.

He didn't say anything more, but sat up and carried her to the living room in a princess carry.

Li Chu took out acupuncture needles and cotton wool from his bag, and then took out alcohol from under the coffee table before going into the bedroom.

Ding Qiunan watched his actions quietly without asking any questions.

After disinfecting the needle, Li Chu said to her, "Darling, let me give you two acupuncture needles so you can get a good night's sleep tonight, okay?"

He knew that his wife was in a state of great distress, and if she couldn't get a good rest tonight, who knew what might happen tomorrow.

“Okay, but you can’t leave me,” Ding Qiunan nodded and said.

"Don't worry, I'll hold you in my arms while I sleep."

After saying that, he had her lie down and quickly inserted two needles into her chest.

Less than a minute after the needle was inserted, Ding Qiunan closed her eyes and her breathing became steady.

Li Chu took her pulse, removed the needles from her body, disinfected them again, and then inserted them back in, this time to calm her down.

The needle was not removed for ten minutes after it was inserted.

Then Li Chucai crawled into bed, pulled his wife into his arms, and turned off the light.

When I opened my eyes again, it was already the next morning.

The two of them slept in the same position all night, and Li Chu felt as if his right arm no longer belonged to him.

I gently got off the bed, and after swinging my right arm for a while with my left hand, I finally felt a tingling and numb sensation.

A burst of laughter came from behind.

Looking back, Ding Qiunan had already woken up. Seeing her husband's actions, she couldn't help but laugh.

She sat up, pulled Li Chu over, and rubbed his arms.

"Are you stupid? Your arm is so uncomfortable, why don't you move it?"

Receiving no response, Ding Qiunan looked up and realized that he was staring intently at her chest.

She stuck out a finger and tapped her husband's head: "What are you looking at? Haven't you had enough after all these years?"

"How could I possibly get enough of this?" Li Chu said confidently, having been reminded by his wife's pointing finger.

"Hmph," Ding Qiunan gave him a coquettish glare.

That delicate groan seemed to sound a battle cry, causing Li Chu to pounce on it like a hungry wolf.

After leaving the bathroom, Li Chu put Ding Qiunan on the bed.

"Hurry up and get dressed, we don't have enough time. Let's go to the cafeteria for breakfast later."

"Ugh, who told you to go crazy so early in the morning?"

Ding Qiunan rolled her eyes at him one after another, then lay on the bed, feeling weak all over, too lazy to even move a finger.

There was nothing else Li Chu could do but help her get dressed.

After getting dressed and ready to leave, Li Chu looked at his wife, who was now radiant again, and couldn't help but lean over and kiss her.

Ding Qiunan pushed his head away with a look of disgust: "Stop messing around. Don't you even look at the time? If we don't leave soon, we won't be able to eat at the cafeteria."

After saying that, he walked out of the living room first.
