Chapter 534 Consensus

At 2 p.m., Li Chu arrived at Vice Minister Cheng's office.

To his surprise, the reason he was called here was not because of the draft implementation plan for the qualification certificate.

The reason I asked him to come over was because of that inside information he had received.

"Li Chu, what are your thoughts on this matter? Think about it. Supervisor Li will be here later, and you can share your opinions then."

"No, my esteemed Vice Minister, I'm a little confused. Why would you seek my opinion on such a policy-related issue? Even if you did need to ask me, why are you the one contacting me?"

Vice Minister Cheng looked at Li Chu with a half-smile: "Are you really not clear-headed, or are you pretending to be ignorant even though you know the answer?"

"I really don't know!" Li Chu said, spreading his hands.

He wasn't lying about that; it's something I really can't figure out.

"I invited you here purely because we're the closest people to each other."

"What, are they worried that I'm difficult to talk to? Do they need someone they know to act as a bridge?"

"Don't be so sensitive. To be honest, it's only because we've known each other for a long time that I understand you well, otherwise I wouldn't want to contact you."

What level are you, and what level are we? It's hard to gauge the appropriate level of interaction with people you're not familiar with!

Take today's situation as an example. Without me, would Old Li have visited you in person, or invited you over? Would he have treated you simply as an expert, or as a higher-level leader?

As he spoke, Vice Minister Cheng pointed to each other with his hands.

Upon hearing this, Li Chu shook his head with a wry smile. Just as he was about to say something, there was a knock on the office door.

"Please come in."

The door was pushed open, and Vice Minister Li walked in.

Old Cheng's secretary followed behind, came in to make a cup of tea, and then left.

Li Chu greeted him, and the three of them sat down on the sofa.

"Dean Li, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come."

"Let's not stand on ceremony, we're all serving the people!" Li Chu waved his hand and said.

The man looked to be in his fifties and had only come from another place last year. Li Chu didn't know what he did before or what specific business he was in charge of now.

"Dean Li, Old Cheng must have told you everything before, right?"

After Li Chu nodded in agreement, he continued, "I don't know what your opinion is on this matter, but let me first share my perspective."

This is how I see it…

When Li Chu walked out of the office building, it was already past five in the afternoon.

Sitting in the back of the car, he leaned back wearily and closed his eyes.

More than three hours of listening and talking kept his brain working, leaving him somewhat exhausted.

Surprisingly, this vice minister, who had only been in office for less than a year, shared a remarkably similar view on this matter.

At first, this was supposed to be an informal conversation, at most a private exchange.

However, when the top leader arrived after hearing the news, not only was the location of the meeting changed to a small conference room, but the nature of the meeting was also changed.

A simple exchange turned into a formal meeting, with several more attendees.

This was something that neither Lao Cheng nor that Vice Minister Li had anticipated.

However, the meeting went well, and everyone reached a consensus that private capital is not suitable for involvement in the healthcare industry at this time.

Actually, it's already quite good that we came to this conclusion. Everyone has different opinions, and it's impossible for everyone to have the same thoughts.

At the meeting, someone even raised the question of whether foreign capital should be allowed to participate.

However, Li Chu didn't even need to refute this suggestion; it was immediately rejected by the newly appointed Vice Minister Li without causing a ripple.

When the car drove into the main gate of the hospital, Li Chu, who had been lost in thought, finally came back to his senses.

He glanced at his watch and, instead of going to the outpatient hall, went directly to his wife's office in the administration building.

"What did you do all afternoon?" Ding Qiunan asked without looking up from her writing.

As I said before, everyone except her husband knocks before entering her office, so she doesn't even need to look at the door if someone just pushes it open.

"I was called over by Lao Cheng. I thought it would be a private exchange, but it turned into a formal meeting."

Li Chu walked straight to the desk, picked up the teacup on the desk, and gulped down several mouthfuls.

Ding Qiunan didn't press the matter further, as many of her husband's jobs involved confidentiality.

She usually pays close attention to this, and her husband will tell her whatever he can, even if she doesn't ask.

"By the way, honey, Wenxuan told me this morning that he plans to go on a trip with Yueyue for a few days to the beach in Dongshan."

"When do they plan to go?" Ding Qiunan put down what she was writing and looked up to ask.

"You don't object?"

"Why should I object? The fact that you told me means you've already agreed. If I object now, are you trying to make me a bad mother?"

Hey, how come my wife's thought process is so unique?

“I’m not saying you should be a bad mom, I just thought you would worry about the safety of your two kids going out alone.”

"Oh, you'll definitely make the arrangements. Besides, Wenhui has already run off by herself, and now Wenxuan and Yueyue are together, so what do I have to worry about?"

I haven't even answered your question yet, when are they planning to leave?

"Wenxuan said the sooner the better. I was originally planning to go to the railway section this afternoon to find someone to buy tickets for them, but the meeting has been going on for so long, so I'll go tomorrow."

Ding Qiunan rolled her eyes and thought for a moment, then nodded: "Then I'll give him some money and tickets when I get back."

"No need to take the money. Wenxuan and Yueyue already have plenty of pocket money. Just give them more tickets."

He can't mention the money he gave his son. He was out of his mind this morning and gave it to his son without thinking. If Ding Qiunan finds out, there will be endless trouble.

The money and the huge pile of gold bars in my own warehouse are just sitting there unusable, and those things can't even be seen in the light of day. It's really frustrating.

Rebirth in the Great Era of Surfing Waves

“You’re right, those two kids probably have a lot of money in their stash, so we don’t need to give them any more.”

Done!

Li Chu was secretly pleased with himself.

"By the way, Li Chu, you promised to take me out to play. When are you going to keep your promise? Even other kids know to go out."

"Um... how about we go with them, and then we can each do our own thing once we get there?"

This suggestion made Ding Qiunan's eyes light up instantly, but they immediately dimmed again.

"Forget it, let's talk about it later. I've been too busy lately, I can't get away at all."
