The courtyard was quiet; everyone was sitting at the gate enjoying the cool air.
Everyone saw Li Chu leading Ding Qiunan out of the courtyard gate.
Li Chu led Ding Qiunan to greet everyone and introduced the neighbors to the girl.
There was plenty of time later, so they didn't chat much. Li Chu then made an excuse to take the girl back to her dormitory and left with her.
After they left, the men in the courtyard were a little better off, but the older women gathered together and started chatting amongst themselves.
