Chapter 617 Dispelling

On the morning of October 2nd, after finishing breakfast, Li Chu was pondering what to do that day when the doorbell rang.

Li Wenxuan, who lived in the front yard, led Zhu Wen into the middle yard.

Good morning, Brother Li; good morning, Sister-in-law Li.

"Sit down. Shouldn't you be busy with the renovations at Xu Damao's place right now?"

"My junior brothers are over there, so I came over to talk to you about something."

"Thank you, sister-in-law!" Zhu Wen quickly thanked Ding Qiunan when she poured him a glass of water and brought it over.

"I'm sorry, sister-in-law, I disturbed your rest so early in the morning."

"Don't be shy, you two chat."

"What's the matter?" Li Chu asked curiously.

Zhu Wen and his fellow apprentices have already taken over the job of renovating Xu Damao's shop on Qianmen Street, and they will even be given the job of renovating the old shop later.

Because Li Chu gave them two months to renovate, this period should be their busiest time.

Because once the weather gets really cold, some jobs will be harder to do.

"Brother Li, it's like this. I went to check out the houses near Shichahai the other day, and I found a lot of porcelain on the floor of the main house. I didn't dare to touch it because some of them looked like good stuff at first glance. I came here to tell you about it."

Li Chu then remembered the bottles and jars in the house. He had been talking about them for two days when he first got them, but then he was distracted by other things and had long forgotten about them.

but……

"Who do you know?"

"I've seen some before when I was with my master, but I only had a superficial understanding of them. However, several of your items are immediately obvious," Zhu Wen explained with a smile.

"Your master knows about this?"

"He doesn't understand either, but he's probably just seen a lot."

Li Chu nodded, thought for a moment, and then said, "Okay, I'll take care of those things in the next couple of days. I'm not in a rush with my house. You should finish Xu Damao's work first."

"Thank you so much, Brother Li! That's what I came here to talk about today. I'll head over now so as not to disturb your rest."

"Okay, I'll see you off."

When he returned from outside, Ding Qiunan came out of the house.

"I just overheard you talking about what happened to the houses in Shichahai?"

"The house is fine, it's just that I forgot to take care of all those bottles and jars inside."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "The children all have their own things to do today. Why don't you come with me and we go over there?"

"Okay, I haven't seen it yet."

Without hesitation, the two went inside, changed their clothes, told their three children who hadn't yet left, and drove off.

They arrived here in about ten minutes by car.

There were quite a few people strolling around here early in the morning. A gentle autumn breeze blew by, and the blue waves rippled. In terms of scenery, it was indeed much better than back home.

In winter, even more people come here to ice skate.

Fights over minor bumps or bruises or disputes over women are commonplace here.

"It's alright, come over here and enjoy the scenery, it's quite nice."

After getting off the bus, Ding Qiunan came to the shore. Looking at the few small boats floating on the water and listening to the laughter coming from them, she pointed and said with some envy, "Shall we go boating later?"

"OK!"

"Hehe, is this our house?" she asked, turning around and looking at the houses by the roadside.

"This is it, what do you think?"

"Everything looks the same outside, so what can you tell? But the location in the field is indeed quite good." Ding Qiunan turned her head to look at both sides, and she was quite satisfied with the place.

She paused for a moment when she looked to the right, and said somewhat uncertainly, "Isn't that Ran Qiuye?"

"Where?" Li Chu followed her gaze.

A little further away, a man and a woman were slowly walking towards them.

"Hey, it really is! I can't believe I ran into her here. The guy next to her is Mr. Liu from their school. Looks like they're really together."

"Only when the two people got closer could we see them clearly," Ding Qiunan said to her husband beside her.

Li Chu didn't tell his wife about what happened when he ran into the couple at the hospital last time.

Ran Qiuye and Teacher Liu, who were walking over, also noticed the people standing by the roadside.

The moment Teacher Liu saw Ding Qiunan, the huge weight that had been pressing on her heart for so long finally dissipated.

Sword Comes

Due to Ran Qiuye's deliberate distancing, the four of them would only exchange a few words and then part ways when they met.

Ever since she learned that Ran Qiuye had those kinds of feelings for her man, Ding Qiunan has never known how to deal with her. She simply couldn't continue to treat her like a younger sister.

After watching the two people walk away, Li Chu asked with a smile, "What's wrong? Still feeling uneasy?"

Ding Qiunan shook her head: "She had those kinds of thoughts about my man. I really don't know how to face her. It's fine to just keep nodding acquaintances from now on."

Don't overthink it. You know my heart will always be with you.

"Ugh, that's so cheesy! Come on, take me inside and let me see." With that, she skipped and hopped like a little girl towards the house across the street.

On the other side, Teacher Liu hesitated for a moment and asked, "Qiuye, why do I feel like I've seen that woman you called Dr. Ding earlier?"

"Didn't you recognize me?"

"Hmm? Should I get to know her?"

“She’s Li Wenhui and Li Wenxuan’s mother. Didn’t you used to be their teacher?”

"Li Wenhui and Li Wenxuan?" Teacher Liu frowned and thought for a while before asking uncertainly, "Are you talking about the twins, the boy and the girl?"

"Yes, it's them."

"That can't be right, I remember those siblings should be in their twenties by now, right?"

"That doesn't seem right, what's wrong?"

"What else?" Teacher Liu raised her voice.

"You don't mean to tell me that Dr. Ding is over forty years old?"

"That's right. I don't know Sister Ding's exact age, but she's definitely older than the two of us."

Teacher Liu's eyeballs almost popped out from behind his glasses.

"What about that Doctor Li?"

"It should be around fifty by now."

"How is that possible? Why do they look so young? I think that Dr. Li is at most about the same age as us, right?"

"I don't know either. I think that's what they looked like when I first met them. They've just become more mature over the years."

Now, Teacher Liu had no more doubts. What a joke! Although his wife was beautiful, it depended on who she was compared to.

He also felt somewhat guilty for having previously doubted his lover.

No one expected that just because Ding Qiunan showed up once, it completely dispelled Teacher Liu's doubts.

A family crisis vanished without a trace.
