Chapter 317 Name

Back at the main hospital, Li Chu didn't go back to his office, but went straight to the pharmacy.

Ding Qiunan happened to have nothing to do at the moment and was sitting in the backyard sunbathing when he was pulled directly into his office.

"Why are you pulling me away? What's the rush? Can't we wait until we finally eat to talk about it?"

Pulled along by her husband, Ding Qiunan jogged all the way to the office and asked as soon as they entered.

“It’s definitely a good thing. Once the paperwork for the house is done, it will be our home.”

"I know, isn't that what you're dealing with today?"

Li Chu chuckled and took out the land deed and house deed from his bag, handing them to his wife.

Ding Qiunan accepted it without a care. It wasn't like she hadn't seen it before; it was just that this one was a bit bigger.

Li Chu stood there with his arms crossed, waiting to see how his wife would react.

Ding Qiunan held it in her hand and looked at it for a long time before realizing that something was wrong.

I examined the land deed and house deed very carefully.

She then looked up at her husband, pointing at the object in her hand, her voice trembling slightly: "Li...Li...Li Chu, this...how...how is this my...my name? You...you've made a mistake."

He reached out and ruffled his wife's hair, smiling as he said, "Am I stupid? How could I possibly make a mistake?"

"Then...then why...why is it my name?" Ding Qiunan still couldn't believe it.

"Fool, you're the lady of the house. If we don't write your name, whose should we write?"

Ding Qiunan stared blankly at her husband, tears streaming down her face.

Oh no, I've made my wife cry.

Li Chu hurriedly took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped her tears.

He kept saying, "What's wrong? Why are you crying? Don't cry, honey."

"I...I don't know either, it just started flowing out on its own." Ding Qiunan stood there, letting her husband wipe her tears, and pouted as she argued when she heard what he said.

"Alright, alright, stop crying. Otherwise, when we go out, people will think I'm bullying you."

"You're just bullying me." Ding Qiunan raised her hand and lightly patted him.

"Okay, okay, I bullied you. I was wrong. I apologize."

Ding Qiunan couldn't help but laugh.

"What kind of apology are you going to give?"

"Didn't you say I was bullying you?"

"Hmph," Ding Qiunan turned her head away, stopping him from wiping her face. She raised her hand and wiped her face haphazardly, then hugged her husband tightly and buried her face in his chest.

He said in a muffled voice, "Thank you, Li Chu."

Li Chu hugged his wife and said with a smile, "If you're thanking me for wiping your tears, that's unnecessary. I'm the one who made you cry."

If you're thanking me because your name is on the land deed and house deed, then there's even less need. We're a married couple; it doesn't matter whose name is on it.

After hearing her husband's words, Ding Qiunan didn't say anything more, but just hugged him even tighter.

After a while, she let go of his arms, lifted her head from his embrace, and tiptoed to kiss the corner of her husband's mouth.

Li Chu smiled, cupped her head in his hands, and kissed her forehead.

Then he let go of her hand, walked to the washbasin stand, where there was cold water that had been collected at noon and no one was using it. He picked up the kettle and added some hot water to it.

He then soaked his own towel in the water and handed it over, saying, "Here, wipe your face."

Ding Qiunan put the things in her hands on the desk, but instead of taking the towel, she tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and said in a coquettish tone, "You wipe me."

Li Chu walked over to her with amusement, supporting the back of her head with one hand while carefully wiping her face with the other.

After wiping her face, Ding Qiunan took out some face cream from her pocket and applied some to her face.

In winter, when it's dry, skin is especially prone to breakouts if you don't apply some moisturizer.

She looked in the mirror on the wall in front of the clothes rack, making sure she couldn't tell that Gang had been crying, before turning to her husband and giving him a sweet smile.

"Alright, I'm going back to the pharmacy now, so I won't be there when they come over later."

Watching her open the office door and skip away, Li Chu wanted to laugh. He felt that his wife was becoming more and more like a child.

Last night I even had a little argument with my child, and the worst part is I didn't win the argument.

I carefully folded the documents on my desk and put them back in my pocket. I really had to keep these things safe.

Now that I have the house, I can finally relax.

Sitting behind my desk, I took out the books I had written recently—a thick stack of them.

Looking at the manuscript in front of him, Li Chu realized that it was far from finished. He had only completed a quarter of what he had envisioned.

After thinking for a moment, he picked up the manuscript he had written on the table, intending to go to Director Lin's office to ask him to help revise it and to have someone else take a look and give him feedback.

"Uncle-Master, are you not busy right now?"

The door to Director Lin's office was wide open, and Li Chu walked straight in.

"I'm fine. Have you finished your business?"

"It's done. Uncle-Master, here's part of what I wrote earlier. Could you take a look and help me revise it, and see if there's anything else I need to pay attention to?"

As he spoke, Li Chu placed the manuscript paper in his hand on the desk.

"Okay, let me see."

Lin Sanshou picked up the manuscript papers and flipped through them casually.

He stopped after flipping through a few pages, as if he had seen something extraordinary, and pointed to one of the pages, asking, "Who drew this anatomical diagram?"

"Ah, I drew this myself."

"You drew this yourself?" Lin Sanshou was clearly surprised, and his voice rose considerably.

"What did you draw from?"

"I had seen anatomy before, so I remembered it."

Lin Sanshou stared wide-eyed as he looked Li Chu up and down.

“I remember Mr. Yang wouldn’t know how to do this.”

"Uncle-Master, this is just something I came up with on my own."

"You're quite something, kid." Lin Sanshou looked at the manuscript in his hand again.

Since it's a tutorial on the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Li Chu's drawing only shows the abdomen, primarily highlighting the various organs there.

"Could you make this drawing any bigger?"

"Sure, as long as the paper is big enough."

"Can it be colored?"

"Uncle-Master, I don't know how to do this. I can only draw with a pencil."

After listening to Li Chu's words, Lin Sanshou fell into deep thought.

After a while, he looked up and asked again, "For example, can you draw a cross-section of the heart?"

Lin Sanshou's question made Li Chu hesitate for a moment. He thought for a while before answering, "It should be possible, but I need to see the actual object. I can't imagine it from thin air."
