Chapter 87 Romance

Ding Qiunan watched her husband complain with a smile, and only after he finished did she say, "Let's go home. I've saved some food for you at home."

"Okay, let's go home and eat my wife's cooking." Li Chu straddled the bicycle: "Honey, get on, let's go home."

The girl looked at Xiao Hei and said, "Why don't I sit in the front and let Xiao Hei squat in the back? It must be tired after running all this way."

Li Chu looked at his wife: "Didn't you say you didn't want to sit in the front?"

"Oh dear, it's getting dark. I'd feel awkward doing this in broad daylight!" she said, before voluntarily sitting on the front bar of the bicycle.

Li Chu bent down, picked up Xiao Hei, and placed it on the back seat. He instructed Xiao Hei, "Xiao Hei, don't move around. Sit quietly in the back." If it gets any bigger, the back seat really won't fit.

And so, Li Chu slowly rode his bicycle home with the dog and the person on board.

"Li Chu, has it passed the review?" Ding Qiunan asked.

"If nothing unexpected happens, it will definitely pass. We'll know on Monday the day after tomorrow."

"Wasn't it announced on the spot?" Ding Qiunan found it a bit strange. At the end of last year, when Li Chu participated in the judging, the results were announced on the spot.

"There are a few cases where the effectiveness of my treatment will not be known until tomorrow."

"Oh," the girl nodded, "So, are you off tomorrow?"

"I need to go to the main hospital for acupuncture tomorrow morning, and then I'll be fine. I plan to get up early tomorrow morning and go there, and then I can come back early," Li Chu replied.

“Okay, then we can rest at home for a day tomorrow.” The girl turned to look at him with a smile.

The bicycle gradually disappeared into the distance, and the girl's cheerful laughter drifted through the air from time to time.

Lying in bed at night, with the electric fan whirring, Li Chu placed one hand behind the girl's head and the other stroking her smooth back. Ding Qiunan lay on top of him, her face flushed, a look of pleasure on her face. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to calm her rapid breathing.

After a while, Li Chu heard the girl's languid voice in his ear: "Li Chu, you feel so sticky, can you carry me downstairs to wash up?"

"Yes, Your Highness." Li Chu sat up, picked her up horizontally, and the girl nestled in his arms like a kitten, not moving at all.

After washing up, Ding Qiunan sat on the bed and saw two wet mats on the floor. She stuck out her tongue cutely, grabbed one of Li Chu's cotton shirts and put it on, then got off the floor, picked up the mats, and prepared to soak them in the basin in the bathroom.

She threw the mat she was holding at his feet and said, "Soak this in the basin, I'll wash it tomorrow." She then tried to slip away, but Li Chu was faster and pulled her into his arms.

"No, Li Chu, just now..." Before she could finish speaking, the girl's mouth was covered.

With a bang, the bathroom door slammed shut.

Before long, intermittent, blood-pumping panting could be heard coming from the bathroom.

The little black cat, who was lying in its bed in the living room, had its ears drooping down from their original upright position.

After a long while, Li Chu carried the girl out of the bathroom for the second time. Ding Qiunan pinched his waist and said resentfully, "You're just torturing me. My legs are killing me."

This pinch was quite severe, and Li Chu winced in pain.

He was too lazy to go downstairs to clean the bathroom, so he went into the bedroom, lay down on the bed, and hugged Ding Qiunan. The girl was still a little annoyed that he had pinched her earlier, so she raised her hand and patted his chest again: "You're such a bull, aren't you tired?"

Li Chu grabbed the girl's hand, kissed it, and chuckled without saying a word.

The girl whispered in Li Chu's ear, "Li Chu, I...am I not able to satisfy you?"

Li Chu, who had already closed his eyes, opened them again upon hearing this and looked at the girl, asking, "Why would you think that?"

"Hmm—it's just that every time we're done, I'm so exhausted, but you seem to be completely tireless and can keep going again in no time." The girl was a little shy, and after saying that, she closed her eyes, not daring to look at him.

With a smile on his face, Li Chu reached out and pinched her buttocks, causing the girl to twist her body in dissatisfaction.

"No, I'm perfectly content," Li Chu said.

"Really?" The girl opened her eyes and looked up at him.

"Really, I'm really content," Li Chu replied sincerely, then asked with a hint of doubt, "Wife, why are you asking this today?"

The girl rested her head on his chest again and said, "It's... um, it's what those older women at the factory told me."

What did they say?

"They say you have to squeeze every last drop out of your man at home, otherwise he might run off and cause trouble," the girl said earnestly.

"Pfft..." Li Chu almost spat out his saliva. These aunties really can say anything.

Suddenly, Li Chu realized something: "Oh—no wonder you've been so proactive lately."

"You're so annoying, you can't say that!" The girl blushed deeply and covered his mouth with her hand.

Li Chu looked at the girl with a smile in his eyes, shook his head to indicate that he would not say anything more, and then stuck out his tongue to lick her palm.

"Ouch, it itches..." The girl quickly withdrew her hand: "You're not allowed to say that anymore." Ding Qiunan pouted and looked at him.

"Okay, I won't say anymore."

The girl shifted her body slightly upwards, wrapped her arms around his neck, rested her head on his shoulder, closed her eyes, and said, "Turn off the light, go to sleep."

"Okay, go to sleep." Li Chu pulled the sheet over the girl and then reached out to turn off the light.

In the darkness, Ding Qiunan whispered in Li Chu's ear, "Li Chu, I love you!"

Li Chu tightened his grip on the girl's arm and hummed a few lines in her ear: "The most romantic thing I can imagine is growing old with you, until we're too old to go anywhere, and I'll still cherish you like a treasure in my palm..."

The girl groped her way up in the dark, gave Li Chu a deep kiss on the lips, and then lay back down.

Her husband often hummed strange songs that she had never heard before. She asked him a few times where he heard them, but he would just smile and not answer. After a few times, she stopped asking. However, she always enjoyed listening to him hum.

She liked the song she sang today, and the one she sang on the day they got their marriage certificate even more. The girl murmured, "Li Chu, you have to sing it for me often in the future."

"Okay, I'll sing for you often from now on."

Hearing Li Chu agree, the girl smiled sweetly, thinking to herself, "How wonderful! I've married such a wonderful man, and the lyrics he sang are so beautiful!"

Gradually, the girl fell asleep with a sweet smile. Li Chu listened to her increasingly steady breathing, turned his head, kissed her forehead, and softly said, "Wife, I love you too."

Ding Qiunan seemed to have heard this, and her smile widened even more.
