Wang Qingliu was startled. Seeing the couple's faces darken, he immediately waved his hands to explain, "No, that's not what I meant. What we said yesterday still counts. I just wanted to ask, but if you don't want to talk, that's fine. I'll go get someone to follow you."
Zhang Meng saw his aggrieved look, shook her head and smiled, deciding to be kind for once. "Let's go to the hospital later. Didn't you say that the deceased worked in the hospital morgue? Let's go over there and see what's going on."
Wang Qingliu stopped again and turned his head as if he wanted to say something.
Zhang Meng immediately frowned, "If you have something to say, just say it directly. Why are you hesitating?"
Wang Qingliu sighed quickly, then immediately said, "Comrade Zhang, you mentioned going to the hospital. Actually, I just wanted to mention that there's nothing to check there. When the incident happened, I took the brothers with me and went there, but we didn't find anything."
Zhang Meng sneered and said confidently, "Just because you can't find it doesn't mean we can't find it."
Wang Qingliu opened his mouth, and finally looked towards Gu Mingtai with a little fear, sighed, swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue, turned around and called the other colleagues who had been waiting to follow the young couple out of the Public Security Bureau.
Standing at the door of this hospital again, Zhang Meng couldn't help but sigh that she seemed to have a connection with this hospital. She remembered that Director Zhao who asked her for help last time seemed to be the director of this hospital.
"I've already asked someone to talk to the dean here. As long as we don't disturb the patients, we can investigate the case to our heart's content."
Wang Qingliu, who had disappeared for a while, walked out of the hospital and went straight to Zhang Meng and Gu Mingtai to preach.
Zhang Meng nodded and looked at Gu Mingtai. Gu Mingtai pursed his lips, his deep eyes swept across the hospital in front of him, and immediately said, "Morgue!"
As soon as the six people entered the morgue on the lowest floor of the hospital, they felt a chill running through their heads and toes.
"Xiao Meng, give each of them a piece of talisman paper." Gu Mingtai looked back at the four police officers following behind him, narrowed his eyes, and immediately looked at Zhang Meng and said.
Zhang Meng slapped his forehead and immediately took out four exorcism talismans from his pocket and handed them to the four of them, saying, "These are exorcism talismans. Each of you should take them with you. This place is where the dead are kept, and there are the most dirty things. I don't want you four to follow us in, otherwise we will leave without anyone."
When the four heard this, they were so frightened that they immediately grabbed their own talismans and put them on carefully.
The six people quickly went down into the basement.
Before they could enter, the six people were blocked by the people guarding the door.
"Why are there still people guarding this morgue?" Zhang Meng looked at the five of them in confusion.
Gu Mingtai's face darkened. He pricked up his ears to listen to the noise inside, then pursed his lips and said, "Something's wrong."
Wang Qingliu immediately suggested, "Do you want me to have someone arrest him?" Gu Mingtai was silent for a moment and quickly nodded.
Seeing that he agreed to his proposal, Wang Qingliu looked happy. He immediately turned around and pointed to two colleagues to encircle the person guarding the door of the morgue from the left and right.
The man guarding the morgue hadn't reacted before someone suddenly jumped out, covered his mouth, dragged him aside, and hit his neck hard, causing him to faint.
The two police colleagues who had dealt with the person made a gesture of accomplishment to Zhang Meng and others who were not far away.
The six of them quickly swaggered in.
The further they walked inside, the heavier the gloomy atmosphere became. Soon, the faces of Zhang Meng and the four people behind Gu Mingtai turned as pale as paper, and their lips were trembling.
Even Zhang Meng felt that this was not just ordinary cold, but a bone-chilling cold that spread from the soles of her feet to her whole body.
Just then, the sound of someone talking was heard from one of the morgues inside.
