Just as he finished explaining, Monk Jingchen, who was pulling them forward, was suddenly pulled up into the air.
Watching himself getting taller and taller, Monk Jingchen couldn't help but curse, "Damn it, this damn spider, why did it only catch me? There are obviously two more delicious and tenderer foods waiting for it to eat."
Gu Mingtai stood there and sneered, "Master, that black spider prefers the taste of old meat like yours that is hard to chew."
Stinky master, even at this time, he still wanted to introduce the young couple to be eaten by this big black spider. He is really a good master.
Monk Jingchen's expression choked. Before he could figure out how to comfort his disciple, he was dragged back into the room they had just escaped from.
"Gu Mingtai, what should we do now? Should we go and rescue Master Jingchen?" Zhang Meng nervously pulled his arm.
When I think of that giant spider that's almost two meters tall, I feel uncomfortable all over.
Gu Mingtai pulled her to sit down, took out a piece of pre-roasted meat from his backpack and stuffed it into her hand. "Don't worry, the spider won't touch Master for now. Let's have a good rest and fill our stomachs first. After we're full, it won't be too late to rescue him."
Zhang Meng opened her mouth, but when she saw that he was already sitting on the ground eating meat, she nodded and sat down with him to eat the meat.
The young couple ate for half an hour before leaving.
The young couple lit the lighter in their hands again and shone it into the room. The light from the lighter happened to fall on something that looked like a silkworm pupa, but this thing was many times larger than a silkworm pupa.
The thing inside the silkworm pupa probably sensed the flames and immediately moved inside, with a strange sound coming out from inside.
Zhang Meng was so scared that she quickly grabbed Gu Mingtai's arm, "Gu Mingtai, did you hear that? That thing can scream!"
Gu Mingtai glanced at the large silkworm pupa in front of him following the firelight, curled the corners of his lips, and said slowly, "Don't worry, it's Master."
When he called out "Master", the big silkworm pupa moved even more violently.
Zhang Meng was startled. Looking at the tightly packed giant silkworm pupa, she was truly worried that Master Jingchen might suffocate to death inside. She quickly grabbed his hand and said, "What are we waiting for? Let's get him out quickly."
After saying this, she was about to move forward.
Gu Mingtai grabbed her arm.
Zhang Meng turned around and looked at him in confusion.
Gu Mingtai kept staring at the giant silkworm pupa, and looked around the dark surroundings with a vigilant look, "Don't go in, I'm afraid there's a trap here."
"Don't you think it's too quiet here? Also, where did that big spider go? We were watching this place from outside. If it had left, we couldn't have missed it. But now it's not here. Don't you think it's strange?"
After his analysis, Zhang Meng's thoughts became clear.
"Yes, that big spider!" She turned around, and all around her were white and silver threads, and these things.
At this time, the large silkworm pupa in front of them moved more violently, and the strange noises coming from it became more and more frequent.
"Master, just stay in there for a while. We will rescue you after we have dealt with the matter." Gu Mingtai instructed the big silkworm pupa.
The big silkworm pupa was quiet for a while, then moved several times before it finally calmed down completely.
The young couple stood here for a few minutes. It was so quiet all around that they couldn't determine which direction the enemy was from.
"Gu Mingtai, this won't work. If we just keep standing like this, we won't know where the enemy is! We can wait, but Master Jingchen probably can't wait any longer." Gu Mingtai glanced around with a serious face, suddenly let go of her hand and walked forward.
Zhang Meng was startled and called out to him, "Gu Mingtai, where are you going?"
"Don't come over. I'm going to ask the black spider with a human face to come out. You just stand here and don't go anywhere. OK?" Gu Mingtai turned around and instructed her.
Zhang Meng pursed her lips, knowing that this was their only option now, so she suppressed her worries and nodded vigorously.
Just as he turned around, he gave another worried warning, "Be careful, don't get attracted by its venom."
Gu Mingtai made a reassuring gesture to her and continued walking inside.
Not long after the man entered, Zhang Meng saw that the silver threads in the entire room seemed to be moving.
Then she saw the man who had just entered running out in a hurry, and there were loud noises around the room.
He yelled at her as he ran, "Xiao Meng, get out quickly, it's right above us."
The noise around them was so loud that Zhang Meng, who was some distance away from him, only heard the last few words he said. She looked up hurriedly, and the thing above frightened her so much that her body stiffened.
The lighter shone a picture of a human face. It turned out that the roof they were on was not a real roof, but a spider hovering on it.
What made Zhang Meng feel even colder was that this strange face was smiling at them, and that smile was chilling.
Gu Mingtai ran over and followed her gaze. He was also shocked and cursed in a low voice, "What the hell is this thing!"
Before he could curse again, the human-faced spider above had already attacked them.
Countless white, sticky silver threads flew towards them, and in an instant, their feet were stuck to the ground.
"Gu Mingtai, what should I do? I can't move." Zhang Meng pulled at her feet, but they seemed to be nailed to the ground and no matter how hard she pulled, she couldn't get them free. Gu Mingtai wasn't much better off, his feet tightly bound by sticky threads.
