Chapter 195: Talisman Paper Auction

Monk Jingchen chased after her and saw the green liquid on Zhang Meng's body. His nose moved and he could tell that the smell on her body was from a ghost.

"Flying head barbarian, where is that thing?" Zhang Meng smelled the green liquid on her body, and there was clearly no smell.

"Gu Mingtai and I have killed him. After he died, he turned into a pile of green liquid and exploded everywhere."

After hearing this, Monk Jingchen frowned and asked, "I asked you to kill him. How did you kill him?"

If he remembered correctly, this Feitouman was one of the most difficult monsters to kill. If he faced that guy, he didn't know whether he could kill it.

Zhang Meng didn't think much about it and quickly told the story of how he drew a soul-collecting talisman and captured Feitouman.

"What, a soul-collecting talisman! You drew it! Where is it?" At this time, there was another old man in front of Zhang Meng who was surprised when he heard about this talisman.

Monk Jingchen's expression now is exactly the same as Grandpa Liao's before.

Zhang Meng was a little confused after seeing this. He took a step back and said with a smile, "What's wrong? Why are you and Mr. Liao so surprised when you heard about this talisman? Is there something wrong with it?"

When Monk Jingchen heard that Mr. Liao knew about this talisman before him, he snorted coldly, "I actually let that stinky old man know about this talisman before me."

Monk Jingchen immediately felt uncomfortable when he thought about the old man from the Liao family knowing the news before him. He immediately asked Zhang Meng, "What did that shameless old man Liao say to you? Did he shamelessly ask you for this soul-collecting talisman? Humph, I knew that this shameless man has the thickest skin in the world."

Seeing that what the old man said was too harsh, Zhang Meng quickly interrupted him, "Master Jingchen, do you want to collect soul talismans? If you do, I can give you a few!"

Monk Jingchen, who was cursing uncontrollably, immediately stopped cursing and looked at Zhang Meng with shining eyes, confirming again and again, "Girl, are you serious? Give me a few and you're not trying to trick an old man like me, right?"

Zhang Meng said with a smile, "Of course it's true."

Jingchen laughed happily and held her hand tightly. "Girl, you still love an old man like me the most. Why didn't I accept you as my apprentice? I accepted Gu, a boy who doesn't love his master. It's such a loss."

"Master, is it really okay for you to say bad things about me behind my back like this?" Gu Mingtai said coldly with a half-smile on his face as he stood behind Monk Jingchen.

Monk Jingchen's exaggerated expression froze, and he winked secretly at Zhang Meng. Then he turned around and spoke again in an exaggerated tone, "My good disciple is here too. Master was just complaining a little. In fact, Master is very satisfied with you as his disciple. Otherwise, Master would not have taught you all the skills he has learned in his life, right?"

Gu Mingtai still had that half-smile on his face. He walked up to Zhang Meng and frowned when he saw her covered in green liquid. "Come on, I'll take you to take a shower."

Zhang Meng couldn't stand the stickiness anymore. As soon as he finished speaking, she nodded and said, "Okay."

Monk Jingchen watched helplessly as the young couple left him there.

After taking a shower and feeling clean, Zhang Meng suddenly touched her empty stomach and looked helplessly at the man waiting for her at the bathroom door. "Gu Mingtai, I think I'm a little hungry!"

Gu Mingtai smiled, walked over to her and put a coat on her. He also tucked a strand of hair that had fallen from her forehead behind her ear. Then he said, "Mr. Liao has already prepared some food for us. He just sent someone over to ask us to come and eat."

When Zhang Meng heard that there was really food, she couldn't stop smiling.

The young couple got themselves ready, held each other's hands and went to the Liao family's dining room together.

The Liao family's dining room was the kind of place where wealthy people in ancient times would eat. It had a round antique dining table, and quite a few people were already sitting at it.

"Sister, sit here." As soon as Xiao Tao and the other two saw Zhang Meng coming in, they immediately waved happily.

Zhang Meng smiled at the three of them, let go of Gu Mingtai's hand and walked towards them.

"Please sit down and eat. Today's events are all thanks to you two. These dishes are a reward for your help to our Liao family. Don't be dissatisfied. Eat more." Grandpa Liao said with a smile.

Zhang Meng glanced at the food on the table. There was fish, meat, and some seafood.

In this day and age, being able to prepare such a table full of dishes shows the host's respect for the guests.

Zhang Meng smiled at Mr. Liao and said politely, "Thank you for your hospitality, Mr. Liao. We will be more than welcome later."

"Don't be polite, don't be polite. These dishes are for you." Mr. Liao continued with a smile.

After the fight with Feitouman not long ago, Zhang Meng was really hungry.

As soon as the host, Mr. Liao, said it was time to eat, she started eating voraciously. Soon, there was a pile of overlapping empty bowls in front of her.

Everyone present was shocked by the way she ate.

"Xiao Meng, are you okay?" Grandma Zhang looked at her granddaughter worriedly. She always felt that her granddaughter ate more today than usual.

Zhang Meng smiled sheepishly, patted her stomach, and said, "It's okay. I just fought with that ghost and it took a lot of energy, so I ate a little too much. But now I'm fine. All my strength is back. If another ghost comes, I can continue to fight it."
