However, thinking of the fierce look of the couple, Zhang Meng decided not to get into trouble.
Otherwise, her kindness would be regarded as a waste of time.
After coming out of this carriage, Zhang Meng did not immediately return to the carriage where she was sitting. Instead, she went directly to the restaurant on the train to buy dinner for her family before returning.
When she came back, Grandma Zhang and the others had already woken up.
"Grandma, Xiaotao, Xiaohu, Master Jingchen, it's time to eat. We are lucky today. The restaurant in the car is selling beef, and I bought a lot." As she spoke, Zhang Meng had already placed the food she had just bought on the table.
Seeing that they had been eating either meat or rice during the one or two days on the train, and that the food was so delicious, Grandma Zhang couldn't help but worry that her granddaughter, who was known for her extravagant spending, would lose control and spend all the money she brought.
"Xiao Meng, we can just eat whatever we want on the train. Why do you always buy so many expensive dishes? How much will it cost? Let's save as much as we can. Don't spend so much. I don't know how much it will cost when we get there."
"You old woman, isn't it enough that your granddaughter loves you so much? You've already eaten and you're still talking so much. Eat quickly. If you don't, the beef will get cold, and cold beef is not tasty." After saying that, Monk Jingchen had already picked up a pair of chopsticks and started eating.
He knew that Zhang Meng, this little girl, made a lot of money in her business in Beijing. Not to mention this little bit of beef, she could afford to eat beef for three meals a day.
Seeing that he had already started eating and was still talking about her, Grandma Zhang felt a little unhappy. "You old monk, what do you know? Xiao Meng is my granddaughter. I'm saying this for her own good. Although she has a salary, she will have children in the future. How can you, a lonely person, understand the hardship of raising a child?"
"Hey, you old woman, why do you say so much about me when I just said one sentence? Why do you like to gossip about others more and more?" Monk Jingchen's mouth was full of oil.
When Grandma Zhang heard him say that she was old, she became even more angry. She was just about to have a good fight with the old man when she suddenly heard her granddaughter talking.
"Grandma, Master Jingchen, can we talk about it after dinner? The food will get cold if we don't eat now." Zhang Meng looked at the two elderly people helplessly.
Zhang Meng then said to Grandma Zhang, "Grandma, I promise you, I will work hard to make money, don't worry."
Grandma Zhang nodded in satisfaction, but at the same time, she was afraid that her granddaughter would think she was nagging, so she added, "Don't blame me for being too talkative. I've been through it all before, and I really don't want you to go through the hardships I went through before. Do you understand?"
Zhang Meng nodded quickly. "I know, I know, grandma, you don't have to worry. The situation is getting better and better. In the future, every household will have enough food to eat and children will have access to education. Believe me."
Grandma Zhang smiled and said, "I hope so."
Night soon arrived. After explaining everything to Monk Jingchen, Zhang Meng once again took his ghost-catching tools and headed to the front carriage.
It was almost three in the morning, and almost everyone in the car had already fallen into their sweet dreams. Zhang Meng tiptoed to the toilet door.
As soon as she opened the door, a figure with a very gloomy aura floated in front of her, "Why are you so slow?"
Zhang Meng was startled by his sudden appearance and explained with one hand covering her chest, "Something happened earlier that delayed me, but I'm here now. Don't worry, I will definitely do what I promised you."
The headless male ghost hummed, and suddenly touched his arms with both hands, his voice trembling. "It's happening again. I'm so cold again. Please help me find my body and my head quickly. I can't stand it anymore."
Seeing that his entire body was covered in ice, Zhang Meng quickly said, "Okay, don't worry, I'll go find it for you right now."
As soon as he finished speaking, he ran out of the bathroom.
Since this headless male ghost is wandering here, it means that his body must be nearby.
Next, Zhang Meng began to search carefully in this carriage. When she reached the back, she suddenly saw the snakeskin bag from before.
Thinking of the pool of blood she saw during the day, Zhang Meng's eyes immediately lit up.
While the couple was sleeping, Zhang Meng secretly opened it and took a look.
After a while, her face turned ugly. There was actually a pile of body parts inside.
One of the heads almost rolled out of the snakeskin bag.
Seeing this, Zhang Meng had no idea that this couple must be the murderer of the headless male ghost in the toilet.
But these two people are human beings, and she, a ghost catcher, can't do anything to them.
Seeing this, Zhang Meng had no choice but to give them both a gritted look, and then tied up the open snakeskin bag.
When she returned to the bathroom, it was like a big refrigerator, it was freezing cold.
Before she could open her mouth to call for help, the ghost figure of the headless man appeared from the mirror, "How is it, have you found my body and head?"
Zhang Meng nodded at him and said, "I found it."
The headless male ghost's tone was filled with unconcealed excitement, "Where is it? Take me there quickly."
After waiting for a while and seeing that she didn't move, the headless male ghost suddenly roared angrily, "You lied to me, didn't you? You didn't even find my body or head. I knew you humans can't be trusted."
Seeing the temperature in the bathroom dropping more and more, Zhang Meng quickly explained, "No, I didn't lie to you. I really did find your body, but I might have also found your murderer. The reason I didn't take your body out now is because I want your murderer to receive the punishment he deserves. Don't you want that?"
