Chapter 245: Counterattack Begins

Zhang Meng was about to say no, but suddenly remembered that Liang Wenwen had just called her a fake charlatan.

Then he curled his lips into a sly smile and said, "Okay, go scare her for me, but be careful not to scare her to death."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yu immediately rubbed his hands together and said excitedly, "Don't worry, don't you know my abilities? I'm the best at scaring people. I will definitely not scare anyone to death. Leave it to me."

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhang Yu flew away into the distance with a whoosh.

Zhang Meng looked in the direction Liang Wenwen had just left, and raised the corner of her mouth, "There will be another good show to watch soon."

By the time Zhang Meng found out about this good show, it was already after lunch.

After a nap, she learned what happened next from Liu Fenfang and Tao Hong who came over to chat.

"Sister-in-law, you don't know, this morning, Liang Wenwen ran like a mad woman. Everyone in the entire military district saw it. It was so funny." Liu Fenfang said with a big laugh.

Zhang Meng also smiled after hearing this, and gave a thumbs up to Zhang Yu who was resting in the jade pendant in her heart.

Tao Hong laughed for a while, then suddenly looked at them both mysteriously, "Do you think Liang Wenwen really saw a ghost?"

Liu Fenfang immediately answered, "I think it's impossible. It's broad daylight. How can you just see ghosts? If you can really see ghosts, then not everyone can see them during the day. I think Liang Wenwen has done too many bad things."

"I agree with what Sister Liu said." Zhang Meng said with a smile.

The three of them chatted until almost 4:30.

Zhang Meng then drew talismans at home for another half an hour until Grandma Zhang came back. She told her that she had to go out for something in the evening, and then went downstairs with her backpack.

I was just pulling my bicycle out when I ran into this woman named Liang Wenwen again.

However, what was different from the morning was that Liang Wenwen no longer had the same aggressiveness as in the morning. She was now like a frost-bitten eggplant, listless, with her hair a little messy. She looked like a frightened bird, as if she didn't even notice that she was standing next to her. She ran upstairs in a panic.

After watching for a while, Zhang Meng smiled coldly and rode his bicycle towards Xujia Village.

By the time she arrived at Xujia Village, it was already getting dark.

The Xu family followed Zhang Meng's instructions early in the morning, took out their savings and bought a lot of meat.

When Zhang Meng arrived, the Xu family's dining table was already filled with delicious food and wine.

"Great Immortal, you are here. Please take a look at what we have prepared. If not, just tell me and I will ask my son to go to town to buy some more."

As soon as Aunt Xu saw Zhang Meng coming in, she immediately took her hand and walked to the side of the dining table, pointing at the table full of delicious food and wine and asked.

Zhang Meng took a look at the dishes on the table. Most of them were meat. Although she didn't know what the wine was, it smelled good.

"Okay, that's all. No matter what happens here later, you all stay in your own room. Don't come out and don't come in to disturb me. Otherwise, you and your family will have to bear the consequences." Zhang Meng reminded the Xu family.

When the Xu family heard that the consequences would be so serious, they immediately solemnly swore to Zhang Meng that they would stay in their rooms that night and would never come out.

Soon it was night, and when the moonlight rose, the Xu family had a simple dinner and then went back to their rooms to rest.

At this time, the only person left in the Xu family's hall was Zhang Meng and the table of cold food in front of her.

Time passed little by little, and just when it was almost ten o'clock, Zhang Meng heard the dog in the house near Xujia Village suddenly barking wildly. After a while, the door of the Xu family's hall was blown open by a strong wind.

But outside the open door, it was quiet and there was not a single person in sight.

Zhang Meng, who was sitting at the dinner table, sneered and called out to the empty courtyard, "Friends, since you're all here, come in and sit down. We can discuss anything properly. Why hurt others like this?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a creepy cat meow was heard in the quiet yard, the meow was like the cry of a cat whose tail was stepped on.

"I know you are angry that this family killed you, and I also know that you have hatred in your heart. Can't you just show up and we can talk slowly?" Zhang Meng continued to speak to the empty courtyard.

Not long after she finished speaking, a huge gust of cold wind suddenly blew up in the yard, instantly making the door of the main hall bang.

Zhang Meng sat motionless at the dining table, her gaze fixed on the outside of the yard without being affected.

At this moment, a huge figure slowly crawled in from outside.

I saw a huge black cat ghost sitting in front of Zhang Meng.

"What is there to say? This family beat me to death cruelly. Just because you humans insist on life for life, don't we animals need to?" The black cat ghost asked Zhang Meng loudly with a look of resentment on his face.

Zhang Meng laughed, but said nothing. He just picked up the wine jug beside him and poured him a glass of wine. "It's what I deserve. But now you're dead, and you've taken your revenge. You've tortured the Xu family's child to the point where he's half-dead, half-ghost. Isn't this punishment enough?"

The black cat ghost stared at the glass of wine in front of him, greed in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it and shouted at Zhang Meng excitedly, "That's not enough! They beat me to death. I've lived for so many years and was about to exceed the lifespan of our cat clan and become a spirit. But when I came out to eat something, this family cruelly beat me to death with sticks and ate my flesh. Isn't it infuriating?"
