Chapter 246 If you don’t help, we have a grudge!

Ever since he started eating meat, he couldn't control his body whenever he hugged his young wife.

Thinking of his change, Gu Mingtai shook his head and smiled.

Just when he felt better and was about to go back, a staggering figure walked towards him from the direction of the corridor exit.

Gu Mingtai narrowed his eyes and quickly saw the person coming through the light above the corridor.

His expression changed as he strode towards the swaying figure, hugged the man who was about to fall, and shouted worriedly, "Master!"

The monk Jingchen who appeared this time had scars all over his face, as if he had just had a big fight with someone.

"My dear disciple, Master has finally returned home!" As soon as the words fell, Monk Jingchen immediately closed his eyes and dropped his half-raised hand.

Gu Mingtai's face changed and he hugged Monk Jingchen tightly in his arms. Someone put a trembling hand to his nose to confirm that there was still breath coming out of it. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief and quickly carried the unconscious Monk Jingchen into the house.

For fear of waking up Grandma Zhang and the others who were already asleep, Gu Mingtai first carried Monk Jingchen into the room where he originally lived.

Then he worriedly took off all his clothes and found that there was no injury on him except for a few wounds on his face.

Just when he was not aware of it, he suddenly heard a rumbling sound coming from Monk Jingchen's stomach.

"I'm so hungry!" At this moment, Monk Jingchen muttered this sentence.

Gu Mingtai immediately covered him with the quilt, looked at him with a helpless look on his face, turned around and left the room.

The next morning, Zhang Meng woke up and found that there was one more person in the house.

Looking at Monk Jingchen who was arguing with Grandma Zhang again, he asked curiously, "Master Jingchen, where have you been? How could you end up like this?"

After a night's rest, there were several bloody scars on Monk Jingchen's old face, which looked like they were cut by a knife!

Monk Jingchen snorted softly, "I was doing a good deed when I was accidentally attacked by that ghost thing. But that guy didn't get any benefits, and I also injured him!"

When Zhang Meng heard that he was a man with a story, she immediately pulled him aside to sit and listen to his story.

Only then did she realize that the old man had actually wandered to other provinces for the past few days. As a result, she accidentally wandered into a village and learned that the village was being harassed by two powerful zombies.

He had a compassionate heart and naturally would not ignore it. The wound on his face was caused by those two zombies.

Zhang Meng was fascinated by what she heard, but she was more curious about what kind of zombie could hurt Master Jingchen.

"Master Jingchen, what kind of zombie could have left you in this state?"

Monk Jingchen's expression suddenly turned serious, "It's a green zombie!"

Zhang Meng was shocked. "There really are zombies of this level in this world! I thought they were all dead!"

Monk Jingchen frowned. "I don't know what's going on lately. When I went out to other provinces this time, I saw that many places have been invaded by ghosts. However, everyone is enduring it in order to avoid being caught by the Little Red Soldiers."

Monk Jingchen suddenly remembered that his disciple's wife worked for a supernatural organization.

"By the way, Xiao Meng, what actions has the x-organization over there taken recently?"

Zhang Meng shook her head embarrassedly, "I haven't contacted them recently!"

Monk Jingchen patted the back of her hand and said, "It's okay!"

Suddenly he stood up and said mysteriously, "This world is going to be in turmoil again!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he walked into the house reciting Buddhist scriptures.

Zhang Meng sat in the living room for a while until Grandma Zhang called her to come for breakfast, and then she came to her senses.

Two days later, after sending the cat ghost away, Zhang Meng continued to spend her days at home drawing talismans and cooking.

Before she could enjoy this leisurely life enough, new trouble came knocking on her door.

Early this morning, except for Gu Mingtai who had breakfast early and went to work in the army, everyone else in the family was sitting together eating breakfast.

Halfway through the meal, someone knocked on the Gu family's door from outside.

Seeing Grandma Zhang about to get up to open the door, Zhang Meng quickly put down her chopsticks and said, "Grandma, don't get up. I'll go open the door."

As soon as he finished speaking, he quickly ran to the door and opened it.

As soon as she saw the people standing outside, Zhang Meng immediately felt that she would not have an appetite to eat when she returned home.

"Did you come to the wrong door? Your home is on the fifth floor and this is the third floor. I won't see you off." Without waiting for the person standing at the door to answer, Zhang Meng immediately went to close the door.

"Wait a minute!" A hand so thin that only a leather bag was left stretched out and stopped Zhang Meng from closing the door.

Zhang Meng glanced at the hand and frowned slightly. In just a few days, Liang Wenwen had become so thin! How strange!

"What? Do you want to quarrel? If so, I'm not afraid of you!" Zhang Meng stared at her at the door with a gloomy face.

Liang Wenwen smiled weakly, her voice as soft as a mosquito's. "Look at me now, do you think I'm here to argue with you?"

Zhang Meng looked at her unhappily and asked, "Then what do you want to do?"

Liang Wenwen, whose face was already pale, suddenly seemed terrified. She clasped her hands tightly to her chest, her teeth chattering. "Zhang Meng, I was wrong to scold you like that before. I apologize. I'm in some trouble now. Can you help me? Please!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Liang Wenwen held her face with her hands and started crying.
