Commander Shu paused, turned his head, opened his mouth, and suddenly sighed, "Okay, I won't hide it from you. Yes, Xiao Gu did have a small incident. The call just now was from Deputy Commander Zhu over there. He said that Xiao Gu has been incarcerated for several days and there has been no movement. He asked me if I should go in to look for him?"
Zhang Meng panicked and immediately said, "I'll go!"
Commander Shu's face lit up with joy. "Well, Comrade Zhang, you are really Xiao Gu's good wife. It is a great blessing for Xiao Gu to marry you."
The corners of Zhang Meng's mouth twitched. She felt like this was a trap he had set for her.
Seeing that Commander Shu was still trying to fool her, Zhang Meng immediately waved her hand, "Alright, Commander Shu, just tell me when we can leave. I need to go back and prepare my things. Give me a departure time so I can be prepared."
