As long as I kill them with a gun, I'll be the only one still awake. When Chen Long wakes up, I can say they were fighting like dogs.
Yes, that's it.
Lin Chuchu stared intently at the kidnapper leader and Liu Er, when suddenly a pistol appeared in her hand hidden in her sleeve.
Unfortunately, before she could raise her hand, the third brother suddenly woke up.
"Boss, Liu Er, what are you talking about? What stone gate?"
The third brother rubbed his throbbing forehead, groggily opened his eyes, and asked the kidnapper leader.
Lin Chuchu's breath hitched, and she subconsciously put away her pistol, a look of annoyance flashing in her eyes.
Why didn't you think of taking down the three of them when you first fell?
What a missed opportunity!
Who would have thought that the third brother would wake up so quickly?
What a pity, what a real pity.
She ignored the others and turned to look at Chen Long.
Chen Long is still unconscious; it's unclear whether he has injured his head.
The three of them studied the switch in front of the stone gate, and Lin Chuchu fed Chen Long a few sips of water.
He collapsed onto the sand pile and closed his eyes to rest.
They were happy to see the tomb, but Lin Chuchu was filled with worry.
The tombs are rumored to be full of traps, making the chances of survival slim; she needs to conserve her energy.
Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep again.
Lin Chuchu was woken up by something hitting her. When she opened her eyes, she realized that it was a bag of bread that had been thrown at her.
Lin Chuchu silently sat up, tore open the packaging, and took a bite.
"You're really brave to fall asleep in a place like this."
Lin Chuchu rolled her eyes at him; it was the third brother who spoke.
"I haven't slept well these past few days. If I had a bed, I could sleep for three days and three nights."
Lin Chuchu retorted to him, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Chen Long sitting to the side, already awake.
"Comrade Chen, do you still have a fever?"
Chen Long shook his head and smiled, "Comrade Lin, don't worry, I'm much better now, and my fever should have subsided."
Lin Chuchu stopped talking, and Liu Er scoffed, "You guys are always using those fancy words, calling each other 'comrade' all the time. You might as well just call each other by our names."
Lin Chuchu turned her head and saw Liu Er's appearance. She didn't know whether she should be angry or not. His face, which had been clean before, was now covered in black and white marks, but he didn't even realize it and was happily eating his bread.
"What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a handsome man before?"
Liu Er puffed out his chest, his face full of pride.
I don't know where I heard the word "handsome man" from, but I felt that it was a word that was naturally used to describe myself.
