Chapter 260 Preparing for Action

The woman was stunned for a moment, and was about to start wailing when Old Chen stopped her.

"Shut up, hurry up and go find the child. If you cry again, I'll break your legs."

Damn it, how could he have been so blind as to find such a daughter-in-law for his son back then?

She was just too good at pretending; her well-behaved and sensible demeanor fooled them all.

He knew his grandson hadn't just gotten lost, but had been abducted. It was ridiculous; he was trying to abduct someone else's son, but his own grandson had been kidnapped.

The woman ran out sobbing to look for someone, while Old Chen had someone call Ma Jin over.

“Yuanbao is missing. Quickly send people to look for him. Also, go find those people from yesterday and warn them that if they did it, they should release him immediately. Otherwise, I will go to the police and have them wipe them out.”

Someone actually dared to target them; they must be tired of living.

The thought of those horrific human experiments sent chills down his spine. He didn't want his grandson to come into contact with "those things," as he was the only son in the Chen family.

His tone was commanding, as if he were speaking to a servant.

Ma Jin's eyes flickered slightly, and he nodded respectfully.

"Yes, Elder Chen."

As Ma Jin walked out the door, he glanced back, his eyes holding a cryptic glint.

He was nothing more than a dog that his master could beat and scold at will.

Sooner or later, he will trample these people under his feet. The disappearance of the Chen family's only young master is truly satisfying.

He wanted it to be done by those people; he really wanted to see the Chen family go crazy.

A rumor suddenly spread throughout the capital that an official's child had gone missing, prompting a search effort involving the police and the general public. Unfortunately, a day passed without any results.

The gang leader who had connections with the Chen family saw Ma Jin off and then went back to his room, where there were other people.

"Haha, I didn't expect that the chubby kid we caught was actually the grandson of the Chen family. If we were ordinary robbers, we would definitely have extorted some money from them."

"Yeah, his family has mountains of money, what a waste. Boss, should we let that fat kid go?"

"Yes, what if the Chen family finds out? Won't that affect our cooperation?"

The crowd chattered amongst themselves, including people from China and Japan. They were all a group of scoundrels who had no parents, no children, and only cared about money.

They committed all sorts of evil deeds, trafficking women and children everywhere, until two years ago when they made contact with a human trafficking base, which gave them a stable sales point.

As for what happens to the people who are sent there, they don't care, since they're not their children anyway.

The eldest brother shook his head upon hearing this. "Why send them back? They've already checked, and they haven't found the culprit. Once the person is sent away, who will know it was us?"

You get paid for every one you send over; it would be foolish not to do business.

Lin Chuchu was unaware of what had happened to the Chen family. If she had known, she would have simply applauded.

With her worries resolved and no longer concerned about her family's safety, Lin Chuchu was able to fully dedicate herself to her work.

That day, the base commander called Lin Chuchu to his office and handed her a document.

With a solemn expression, he said, "Take a look at this document. This mission is very dangerous. You have the right to refuse. Think it over carefully."

Lin Chuchu did not answer immediately, but looked at the documents in her hand.

She quickly finished reading the papers and gave the leader a complicated look.

"Commander, are you sure the base is really located here?"

The leader nodded solemnly, "I'm 70% sure that 20 people from this village have gone missing in recent years, most of them elderly people and children, including some women."

"But the village officials covered it up, saying only that the missing person fell off a cliff while collecting herbs in the mountains and was never found."

"However, such a coincidence is too great. We suspect that this village is connected to the experimental base."

"After on-site investigation, we narrowed down several addresses, of which this place is the most likely."

The leader pointed to an address above and said with a serious expression.

"In order not to alert the enemy, we will announce the discovery of an ancient tomb here."

The leader pointed to another place, which was in a different direction from the place they suspected.

“When the time comes, you will move into the village, and with you leading the way, we will give them the opportunity to take action.”

"After they take you away, they will definitely conduct experiments on you first. After all, researchers are more intelligent than ordinary people. You won't be in danger at first. You just need to find an opportunity to send us a signal."

"We'll shoot, we'll cause an explosion, as long as we pinpoint your location, we'll rush in to save you."

If there were suitable candidates and other people could carry weapons, they would never have let Lin Chuchu take such a risk.

This is the only option we have.

Lin Chuchu was also worried and scared about entering the laboratory alone, so she did not agree immediately.

Instead, he thought about it for a moment before nodding and saying, "Okay, I agree."

This experimental base has threatened the safety of her family, and she cannot let it go unchecked.

The commander breathed a sigh of relief, smiled and nodded, "Okay, thank you very much, Comrade Lin. Don't worry, we will definitely protect your safety."

Lin Chuchu had been on several missions like this before, and was very familiar with how to use firearms and ammunition.

There were a lot of things prepared above: pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers, time bombs, and hand grenades.

Team Leader Qin pulled Lin Chuchu aside and explained the usage and precautions for these items over and over again.

"You must pay attention to safety and protect yourself carefully. If the other party tries to do any dangerous experiments on you, immediately pull out your weapon and fight them."
