Chapter 15 Electronics Factory, Repairing Machines

After they had almost finished eating, Liu Zixuan walked over and saw the small bag next to Lin Chuchu's table.

"Your little bag is quite nice, did you buy it?"

How come she's never seen such a pretty little bag before?

"This? I made it myself. Isn't it beautiful?"

Lin Chuchu showed her the pattern on the bag; she could make many more, but there was no need for them.

Before Liu Zixuan could even comment, the military family member sitting next to her couldn't wait to speak up.

"Comrade, did you really make this bag? My child just asked me for one. Could you please make one for me? We'll provide the fabric, and I'll give you some brown sugar."

"Yes, Comrade Lin, I also want one, a bigger one, one that can hold books inside. I have some fruit candies at home, could you please make one for me?"

In just a moment, Lin Chuchu was surrounded by a group of people.

Lin Chuchu replied with a smile, "Okay, ladies, you can send over the fabric. I also have a few patterns for you to choose from."

The bag doesn't need much fabric; scraps will do. Since the kids like it, we can scrape together what we need.

In a short while, Lin Chuchu agreed to give out more than a dozen, in exchange for a lot of white sugar, brown sugar, fruit candy, eggs, and so on.

Liu Zixuan's eyes practically rolled to the sky. What's so smug about? Once she buys a sewing machine, she'll be able to do it too.

As the crowd gradually dispersed, Liu Zixuan said to Lin Chuchu, "Chuchu, I caught an enemy spy earlier, and the country rewarded me with some money. I'm treating everyone to dinner tomorrow night, including our colleagues. Come over tonight!"

This is a good opportunity to get to know people in the department and see if there are any with good family backgrounds. Her uncle is a political commissar and always wants her to marry a high-ranking military officer.

But those high-ranking officials are all getting old, and she wants to find someone from a good family, preferably a rich second-generation or a military second-generation.

She believed that with her looks, there would be plenty of men willing to marry her.

Sister Wang was unhappy and insisted on inviting a colleague. Was she afraid that Sister Wang would go? She didn't want to go herself.

Lin Chuchu had just agreed when she saw Mu Chen and another person walk in through the door.

His eyes lit up when he saw Lin Chuchu.

Why are you here so early? Have you finished eating?

Lin Chuchu nodded, "Yes, our section chief said there are a lot of people here, so we should come out to eat earlier."

I stood up with Sister Wang and said, "You can sit here, there are no seats left."

Mu Chen felt a little regretful. He asked the researcher to sit down, and he took his lunchbox to get his own food.

Just as the two were about to leave, Liu Zixuan suddenly leaned over, her face slightly flushed, and asked, "Chuchu, who is he? Is he a relative of yours?"

"They're not relatives, they're friends."

Lin Chuchu frowned. Seeing her expression, could this person have taken a liking to Mu Chen?

"What's his name? Is he a soldier here?"

"Mu Chen, I don't know his specific position."

Lin Chuchu didn't want to talk to her too much, so she turned around and left the cafeteria.

Seeing that her expression was not good, Sister Wang realized that this girl had probably fallen for Mu Chen, but she herself did not know it.

My agitated mood persisted until I returned to the office. After sitting down and drinking tea for a while, I was finally able to shake off the turmoil in my mind.

In the afternoon, after finishing my work, I heard Old Song cursing again, this time targeting Liu Zixuan.

"Comrade Liu, why aren't you careful when you drink water? Do you know how important every English manuscript is? You actually messed up the English manuscript. If something goes wrong, can you take responsibility?"

"So what if you caught an enemy spy? Don't you want to work here anymore? If you don't want to, get out."

Old Song didn't care about the background of the person in front of him. The translation department was the most important department in the country. No mistakes were allowed, especially not something like soiling the English translation.

Liu Zixuan's eyes were red from crying, and she sobbed, "I didn't mean to. I just ate too much salt at noon, so I took a sip of water in the middle of the meal. I forgot to tighten the lid. It's all Xiao Cheng's fault. He made a mistake at work and didn't even check carefully."

Seeing her shirk responsibility, Old Song was even more furious.

"Liu Zixuan, do you think you're some young lady from the Qian family? Serving others like servants? She's your assistant, not your maid. Half of her salary this month will be deducted."

Old Song stormed off, leaving Liu Zixuan sobbing on the spot. Xiao Cheng, standing behind her, remained expressionless and offered no comfort.

Lin Chuchu and Sister Wang exchanged a glance and silently shook their heads. Liu Zixuan was clearly not the type of person who could focus on her work.

After dinner, Lin Chuchu sat down at the small table and began drawing a design sketch for a bag.

One type is the same shape as her previous one, with a wide bottom for holding lunch boxes and a narrow bottom, with the sides narrower at the top and wider at the bottom for holding books. The design will be different from the fabric they bring.

Soon, people started coming to the door. The first person brought blue cloth, as well as scraps of red and beige cloth.

Lin Chuchu drew a large windmill pattern for it, a red windmill with beige trim, and several beige clouds next to it with big eyes embroidered on them, it was very beautiful.

The military wife was overjoyed, "Comrade Lin did a really good job. You're so knowledgeable. How are you so amazing?"

They're truly impressive, no wonder they're translators.

Lin Chuchu smiled and said it was nothing.

When I was making it for her, two more people came. They quickly selected a pattern and made it, and the person next to them who knew how to sew even helped with the cutting.

Working together, the group made twelve buns in one night, each one different.

After seeing everyone off, Lin Chuchu breathed a deep sigh of relief. She was really tired. After all, she had to work all day and then sit in front of the sewing machine all night making things. Her mental energy couldn't take it.
