Chapter 60 Going Abroad

The group went to the hotel first to drop off their luggage, and then went to the old professor's room for a meeting.

When Lin Chuchu and Liu Jiarui arrived, the old professor was scolding someone.

Seeing Lin Chuchu, he smiled and said, "Chuchu, you seem to know this place quite well."

Lin Chuchu shook her head. "I learned some things from foreign friends when I was a translator."

Seeing their eager expressions, Lin Chuchu said, "For example, when withdrawing cash abroad, each bank won't let you withdraw too much, and you have to pay a tip if you ask someone for help. Here, they only accept US dollars, and if you take out RMB, they'll laugh at you."

"There's a kind of bread here that's extremely hard; you could choke to death if you ate it directly. You need to soak it in milk before eating it. We don't have tea here, but we do have coffee. Don't order pure coffee; you have to drink the kind with milk."

Lin Chuchu told everyone everything she knew, hoping that everyone would be more careful and avoid making a fool of themselves.

Several male students looked distressed and asked, "Will we be able to get enough to eat like this?"

Someone asked the question that everyone had.

Lin Chuchu was silent for a moment, then said, "It's hard to say. We'll just have to figure it out ourselves."

"For example, adapt to local cuisine."

They were placed in a dormitory building where there were other students, both Black and White, as well as some Asians, presumably Korean and Japanese.

On their first day, they simply greeted each other and went back to their dorm rooms.

Liu Jiarui, who had been keeping a straight posture, immediately lay down on the bed without any regard for her image, now that only the two of them were left in the dormitory.

"Foreign schools are not much different from ours, except that there are fewer people in the dormitories."

Lin Chuchu was also very tired, but she still laid out the sheets first and then put on the duvet cover.

"There's not that much difference. They're all for people to live in."

The only difference is that the male and female dormitories are in the same building.

She wasn't worried about anything else, but rather what kind of food the cafeteria would serve at lunchtime and whether she could stomach it.

If I can't eat it, how can I use the mushroom sauce I brought with me?

Just don't make salads, fries, or burgers; she can eat her fill even with steamed buns and mushroom sauce.

She wasn't the only one worried; everyone was worried because last night they finally experienced the power of Western food: small portions and unpalatable.
