Everyone has seen gold, but no one has ever seen tons of gold ore.
The leader didn't know how much of these things would be refined, but he knew that if they were all refined into gold, it would definitely solve a major problem for China.
And all of this was brought about by Lin Chuchu.
The leader took a deep breath and looked at Lin Chuchu again with the affection one would show to a nephew or niece, his smiling eyes revealing respect.
"Comrade Lin, thank you so much. Thank you for everything your country has done. If it weren't for you, China would never have received so many good things."
Such a selfless act of offering up space and helping China contribute its cultural relics and gold without any reservations deserves everyone's respect.
Lin Chuchu smiled shyly, "Chief, this is what I should do as a Chinese citizen. Besides, if it weren't for Chinese warships, I wouldn't have been able to bring these back."
Born in China, she naturally hopes that China can become better, and she will do her best to help China within her capacity.
15 tons of gold ore; although the gold content is unknown, it is enough to warrant the attention of high-ranking officials.
The top leader personally came to the base, saw the pile of things, including the gold ore piled up like a small mountain, and exclaimed in admiration.
"Comrade Lin's ability is almost heaven-defying."
They brought back so many things silently, without being noticed by other countries.
"Yes, fortunately Comrade Lin is loyal to China and is willing to hand over the space."
Other leaders also made a remark.
The level of secrecy and security at the entire base has been raised by one level, especially at the research base where Lin Chuchu is located.
The team members protecting Lin Chuchu have also been slightly adjusted.
Some people get older and their bodies aren't as strong as others, so they step down and are replaced by people with better physical strength and endurance.
Lin Chuchu was unaware of these things because she rarely had contact with those members, except when they were on missions.
After moving everything out of the space, it was already past the New Year before I knew it.
The big boss's idea was to give her a vacation so she could go home and reunite with her family.
Lin Chuchu was naturally happy.
Before she left, the high-ranking official had someone send her something—a complete set of gold jewelry, which was among the cultural relics he had brought back, inlaid with various gemstones.
Lin Chuchu knew this set of items very well because it was taken from her personal space.
This set is an artifact of empress rank, containing dozens of different types of jewelry.
Lin Chuchu waved her hands repeatedly, trying to refuse, "Chief, this is too valuable, I can't accept it."
She's worried about her jewelry being stolen if she keeps it at home, and besides, she can't possibly carry all of it.
The leader had a stern face, but a smile in his eyes.
"Comrade Lin, this is from the senior leader. He said it's something from an elder to a younger person."
"He repeatedly told me that I must give the things to you so that you can keep them as family heirlooms."
Lin Chuchu gasped, then felt a bit dumbfounded. Others would at most receive military merits and be promoted, but the big boss was different. He would give her houses or gold and silver jewelry, and he actually gave her a set of antiques.
Of course, her military achievements and professional titles have also been promoted, and now her rank is the same as that of an academician.
Lin Chuchu tried to refuse several times, but she couldn't persuade him otherwise, and finally had to accept it.
Okay, now she has a gift for her daughter-in-law to give her, and the two children can be family heirlooms for them.
Lin Chuchu looked delighted; she really loved the jewelry set—it was so beautiful.
Lin Chuchu has been busy and hasn't gone to work. She heard that because of the sunken ship from Russia that they brought back last time, their research on tanks and shells has finally been completed. The shells are very powerful and will soon be put into use in the military region.
Lin Chuchu went back to pack her things; now only Researcher Hou Feng Tao and Zhou Lichen remained next door.
Although Researcher Hou's partner was also at this base, they were not in the same system, so they did not live together.
Researcher Tian and Du Lingling moved out and into their own small home.
Life is sweet now, and our relationship is getting better and better.
Seeing Lin Chuchu packing her things to leave again, I thought she was going on a mission.
Feng Tao muttered, "Honestly, they don't even give you a holiday for the New Year, and now you're sending us on missions?"
After a year of training, Feng Tao is now capable of handling things independently and has been promoted.
He is now his father's pride, no longer the person his father described as just getting by.
Feng Tao's father wanted to set him up on a blind date, but this time it didn't work out.
Zhou Lichen is not young anymore. His colleagues are getting married one by one, and he is getting anxious. He doesn't refuse to attend bachelor/bachelorette parties, hoping to find a girl to settle down with.
Zhou Lichen nodded in agreement, "Comrade Lin, don't be silly and take on every task. Take a break now and then and go home for the New Year."
Seeing that the two had misunderstood, Lin Chuchu quickly said, "This time I'm not on a mission, I'm going home. My superiors have given me a month's leave."
After months at sea, a month of rest is a good thing; these kinds of holidays that are all piled up together are the most precious.
The crowd immediately went from sympathy to envy; they wanted that kind of vacation too.
Amidst the envious and jealous gazes of everyone, Lin Chuchu simply packed her clothes and went home.
Two hours later, Lin Chuchu and the others drove to the city. Neither Xiao Lu nor Captain Qin were talkative people, and neither was Lin Chuchu, so the air in the car was very quiet.
Qin was driving when suddenly a figure rushed out from in front and crashed into the hood of the car.
The car screeched to a halt. Luckily, it wasn't going too fast, otherwise, it could have knocked someone flying.
Lin Chuchu's body leaned forward uncontrollably.
