She refused with an air of nonchalance.
Zhao Dongsheng didn't press the matter, but said to Xiao Jiang, "Xiao Jiang, come into my office."
Xiao Jiang's body stiffened for a moment.
However, she still replied, "Okay."
Yue Dongsheng walked into the office.
Xiao Jiang hesitated for a moment.
Zhao Anyan glanced at Xiao Jiang and asked, "Is there anything I can help you with?"
Xiao Jiang shook his head: "I'll go take care of my work now."
Xiao Jiang went into Zhao Dongsheng's office.
Zhao Dongsheng sat in his office chair. Seeing Xiao Jiang standing at the door, he calmly said, "What are you doing standing at the door? Come in and close the door."
Young Jiang was still young and didn't know what Zhao Dongsheng was planning to do.
With a slight frown and a heart full of trepidation, he closed the door. "Director Zhao."
Zhao Dongsheng narrowed his eyes as he looked at Xiao Jiang: "Are you feeling guilty? You've been so afraid of me these past two days?"
Xiao Jiang shook his head: "No."
But for some reason, I swallowed hard.
Zhao Dongsheng smiled, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.
"You're not afraid of me? That's good."
Xiao Jiang realized he had said the wrong thing and wanted to make amends, but for a moment he didn't know what to say.
Zhao Dongsheng asked, "Xiao Jiang, do you want to stay here any longer?"
Xiao Jiang looked nervous: "Director Zhao."
Zhao Dongsheng's expression changed in an instant; he raised his hand and slammed it on the table.
"Xiao Jiang, how dare you! You took Song Shiting's money and are working for him?"
Xiao Jiang was so frightened that his face turned pale: "Director Zhao, I didn't."
Too young, all he wanted was to prove his innocence. "That money was lent to my mother by Director Song for her medical treatment."
The room fell silent instantly...
